Hey Mr About to Troll

Go take a look at the distribution of Darkcoins first:

It turns out that if you take a closer look at the top 300 wallets, you get an interesting picture:

http://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-darkcoin-addresses-1.html

Of all the wallets created in:

*Jan-14: 146,000 DRK
*Feb-14: 175,000 DRK
*Mar-14: 315,300 DRK
*Apr-14: 524,200 DRK
*May-14: 522,500 DRK
*Jun-14: 332,900 DRK
*JUL-14: 96,300 DRK
*Aug-14:713,855 DRK
*Sep-14: 125,624 DRK

Total: 2.94m DRK [~63%]

Well, well. What do we have here?  Some distribution going on and a few whales picking up cheap DRKs.

You really should have hodl your eCash. Instead you gave away your eCash.

edit

before you ask

Another 900k to 1 million coins are held by 900 to 1,000 MNs.

The rest are spread out through 1-2 thousand average me and you wallets.

Also top 2-3 addresses are the exchange 30% of all coins. Dont forget that as well. Once you put this into account, we have a well distrubuted drk wealth

Keep in mind this is not pump material. Page 23 is pretty clear on what remains to be fixed. Of course, this is not a zero-proof system, so attack vectors will always exist, but if we can reduce the number, it'd be cool.

It is absolutely not.

However, trolls will be trolls and they don't care about reading any of the details - just spreading FUD around the internet.

Well, in my view this is pretty good and worth saying so.

News are News are News are News !
No pump here, just putting it out there where it belongs as it is posted by Kristov already !

"A number of variables must be carefully selected in order to practically limit the size of Darksend+ transactions and “blockchain bloat,” such as the number of Darksend+ peers per round, the number and quantities of denominations, etc. Note that the majority of Darkcoin transactions do not necessarily use Darksend+, such as exchange transactions, mining, mining pool payouts, web services, etc. Considerations for whether Darksend+ is scalable in the future are beyond the intended scope of this document."

Is scalability an issue for us due to potential blockchain bloat?

I was about to ask you about your post yesterday on the XC thread that you subsequently erased from your history. Are you a concern troll now? All your post seem to have an unsubstantiated negative tone lately.

I'm selling my not named coin to buy tons of XC !
...Want to speak about the not named coin that steal coin and not pay fee to this node (enforcement anyone) ?

Last, thank you for the X11 algo (a fork of some algo) that i was using to mine XC before POS , my GPU was quiet happy Smiley

And welcome to the XC community ! I'm glad that you have learn from your mistake of the past Smiley

Dont worry sir I still have my 56 masternodes. I actually never posted that. Someone thought I was spreading fud in the xc thread, which I wasnt (i was simply asking if and how their implementation was different than drk), and decided to change my quote.

I just figured that now we have this review I can start asking interesting questions. But I guess its still too soon.

OK chaps...I'm off to bed.

Open source when you like now. Bitcoin is still in Beta and DRK privacy is a significant improvement over BTC.

The next Bitcoin release is due soon. Updates to integrate that update, plus the Kristov recommendations can run side-by-side, IMO.

To the moon....... Grin

I've got players for Bitcoin and Litecoin on my site but since I add Darkcoin I am the only one who threw the dice Sad
The problem is that people who have DRK are not gamblers. They only put their money on a sure thing. That's why they have DRK.

Once one finally understands the MASSIVE implications this has on a world wide scale, one cannot sleep until they stock up on DRK as fast as possible.

This pretty much describes the last 3 months of my life and I'm still warming up on my liquidation jihad.

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

I'm looking forward to the following events:
1) Evan's detailed response to Kristov's review, with action items where necessary.
2) Kristov's code audit -- I'm assuming Evan wants this to go out before RC5 release and open-source.
3) RC5 release and Open source -- This event is not to be underestimated. Open source means mainstream adoption will finally happen and daily trading volumes go up by a multitude.
4) The destruction of Bitcoin when Darkcoin has taken over.

It will be an interesting second half of October. Although price doesn't matter for a long term high-tech project like this, my price prediction for beginning of November is $10.

Kristov's paper is excellent.  It identifies both strengths and weaknesses of Darkcoin although there are no major surprises (at least not to me) and the most significant weaknesses can be fixed.  This is the kind of transparency that Darkcoin needs and almost all of the rivals lack.

Yep Evan has already fixed one of the identified weaknesses. Nothing else is major in my eyes as Kristov states it has significant anonymity.

Once Kristov finishes the code review and open source goes smoothly, the adoption phase can commence to cement its value. Fuck the moon...this is going beyond.

It really amazes me how there are so many people that cant see the obvious. Darkcoin evolving on a daily bases, Evan delivering all the time, while making history and all... the market is giving you a chance of a lifetime with the price being what it is.. OPEN YOUR EYES !

IMO, the next step should be an official response from Evan referencing each of the issues listed in the conclusion and explaining what the plan is to mitigate them. We know that the Sybil attack vector is going to be minimized by moving to 3 peers, but I would like to know about ideas for other improvements.  Especially as it relates to "blinding" masternodes...

+1 duff

Maybe this helps to push things forward Smiley
