I get only 4,1 MH/s for my 280x and 4,6 MH/s for 290 and other ppl has 50% more = 50% more payout. Could someone point me which kernels should I use to mine with that speed ? It cant be so unfair  Undecided

go look at sgminer bitcointalk topics about x11/x13/xwhatever

r9 290 scrypt mining - about 90C hot with ~250W
r9 290 x11 mining - 80C ~150W

It means it can be optimised much more better. Thats why profitability is so low - they can mine 50% faster. fucking POW shitcoins  Undecided

OK, my intention was to give away 26DRK to newcomers to help introduce new people to DRK and have them try Darksend. What do you suggest would be the best way to do that? Any ideas?

How about sending 1.1 drk to 23 journalists to try out dark? Would that not be more beneficial?

Lump sum competition is good too though. hmm. Will ponder.

I really like this idea :-)

I'm game as well!

This idea seems to be very popular. Now how do we distribute the DRK, sending them an email with a wallet.dat with the funds and a link to download the client? I would think it should be to key players not necessarily only journalists.

Send an empty wallet, then they have to answer the mail that they receive it, and are ready.
Then send the coin (but Urrr with 1.1 DRK I don't think they they'll play long time with this amount...)

Hey strix, I woke up this morning with the idea of doing a contest for new members of the community in which after answering some questions you could win some DRK, this has evolved into something a little bit more sophisticated in which we can send some DRK to key players in the industry, journalists and the like.  Nevertheless, I do appreciate you supporting my idea so to promote initiatives such as this one I am sending you a 10 DRK prize, the only condition is we do it here publicly in the forum, you can Darksend to a different address later so who cares. Please post an address, I will send you the coins  and we can post the transaction so people can see a Darksend transaction in the blockchain. Please confirm.

This seems like a good idea, I think I am going to move this initiative to darkcointalk.org. What we can do is prepare a mailing list of relevant journalists, payment processor executives, notable members of the crypto community so on and so forth. Introduce Darkcoin and Darksend, let them know that they can claim a few DRK just by replying to the email, we Darksend them the coins and send them the transaction so they can see it in the blockchain. Since these are relevant people in the crypto world if they reply to our email and get acquainted with Darksend we are already winning. I am thinking 5 DRK might be a nice amount for someone to test the wallet.  What do you guys think?

On a second though, that might be seen as bribing them. Better just pay their fees and order a coverage on Darkcoin.
