tcherkin created a magnificent orchestral anthem for darkcoin. The short version is only 36 seconds, so it's not too intrusive for the darkcoin.io website. It would be great to hear that anthem when you open the darkcoin.io website. It gives the website that little extra edge/push. What are your thoughts on this?

[/quote]

Did he also create the song called "God of Sun"? Shazam is keep identifying tcherkin's orchestral as "God of Sun".

While enjoying that the price is going up again, why not also enjoying the DarkCoin Orchestral Anthem, especially composed for the DRK:

https://soundcloud.com/tcherkin/darkcoin-orchestral-anthem-short-version

Or maybe listen to the whole "The Order of the Dark Coin" - Orchestral Suite:

https://soundcloud.com/tcherkin/the-order-of-the-dark-coin-orchestral-suite

If you enjoy this music, feel free to download it and use it to all projects concerning DarkCoin

I also appreciate your DRK donations here: XiG7xsjFrAwtk3iAmxgapycErnErLCxuJQ

Thanks! Smiley

I wouldn't have any sound on by default, certainly not on the official Darkcoin home page.

It might be an idea for a DRK related website though. If there is going to be sound on a page, I personally would prefer to to turn it on myself, or at least be able to turn it off.

Absolute not. No sound on webpages. Those are the pages that many people won't bother with due to the annoyance factor.

That's like an unspoken rule to never load sound files on webpages unless asked.
Absolutely. If a webpage does it I close it immediately.

Adding sound should not even be considered.

Wow! I am honored and humbled! Thank you.  It will take me a bit to get an address. But I will post it asap. Embarrassed

OK I am ready, just post it when you have your wallet ready. It would be ideal if it wasnt an exchange address but your own wallet, so you play with Darksend which is the whole idea.

Here it is: XnUjqiYV5mvXAWrWUbGFmitPvmWSthxhBi
Thanks to some help from vertoe, I have a wallet up and running. Have not had a chance to set up Darksend yet. (Hmm... just got an image of the "carrier owls" in Harry Potter.) As I am running 9.13.15 I suspect I need a 10... version to run Darksend. Is this correct? If not, what is the primary dif between the two series?

Yes, I am quite a noob at this point.  Embarrassed None-the-less, I hope to be of increasing service as I climb the learning curve.

Again, THANK YOU!!!

I just Darksent you the 10DRK I promised  Smiley

Yes, the wallet version 10 is the one that includes Darksend, although all you would have to do at this point is download and run that version it will recognize the same wallet you already have.  Nevertheless, take your time and wait until you feel comfortable. It is great to have new people on our community you are really lucky that you found Darkcoin right away. Enjoy your DRK.

That is so amazingly COOL!!! I just received 10 DRK, and while I have strong suspicions I have no way to prove who it is from.

WAIT!!! Now I am confounded (no it doesn't take much) I just received 5 more. Up to this point I was thrilled with getting close to one from the faucet over a month.

Gentlemen (meant in a purely non-sexist manner ;- ), your graciousness astounds me. May I one day prove myself worthy, for I surly am not now.

If you sell them, I will find you, and I will kill you.

Actually I won't, since I can't find you because of Darkcoin's great coding.

Now I want a Taken movie where Liam Neeson can't track the money and the movie end after 15 minutes with Liam saying "Goddamn Darkcoin". THE END.

On a second though, that might be seen as bribing them. Better just pay their fees and order a coverage on Darkcoin.

Well 5 DRK is about 15 USD I dont think you can bribe people with that, I was thinking techcrunch, wired.com,  GoCoin executives, Bitpay executives, all relevant payment processor executives, even Richard Branson if you have his address. These are busy people but maybe if we sent them a nice presentation on Darkcoin and Darksend, a wallet and a few coins maybe they take the time to play with it and see how a Darksend transaction looks like. We have nothing to loose if anyone from the mailing list replies we are already winning.

I totally agree with this. My step mom is an author that has a required a reading for school children book. She is very interested in this technology and I have been passing the information on to her and my dad. I believe that there is a large community of people such as this (famous, wealthy) that are interested in making contributions to certain groups that may be extreme but effective. Groups like the Sea Shepard and things like that.

Sh**t. Just read Paypal going full throttle into Bitcoin !!!!!!!!!!

Perfect storm on the horizon:

 - Paypal
 - Winklevoss ETF completing regulatory transition towards or around the end of the year
 - Bitcoin has got through its "right-of-passage" phase (hammered by the media, hammered by hackers, hammered by competition - completely unscathed)
 - World Fiat currencies are reaching their sellby date due to massive debt overburdening = Japan, US, UK
 - Stockmarket 1-month MACD's crossing to the downside for the first time since 2012
 - Spanish Government has just recognised Bitcoin as an electronic payment system
 - China-Russia axis getting ready to dump US TB's, all safety lights for them doing this now turning green due to them being bloated on Gold
 - Eurozone deflation: Mario Draghi says Eurozone recovery "run out of momentum" (if that's what he's saying in public then....  Shocked )
 - Chinese Bitcoin ATM's commencing rollout with 2-way trading (fiat to BTC, BTC to fiat)

Make no mistake: A few alts will benefit HUGELY from a major Bitcoin revaluation and DRK's got its act in gear timed to perfection in order to be one of them.

Strap yersells in !
