I wouldn't worry semaj, you are witnessing a hypothetical debate.  Don't let it wind you up.

As a masternode owner I am against increasing masternode payouts unless something is done to improve mining conditions for the miners.

Don't forget that masternodes have recently been running at a loss too despite our 20% slice of the pie.  This is probably now solved but still, we aren't raking it in at the miners expense.

I was gutted the other day whean I read you hired that beast of a farm.

I was watching you connect and disconnect from the DarkcoinTalk Pool and my pulse was racing when I saw you at 3.5Gh/s dude...

I was like "Yeah Baby" thinking you had a 1000 GPU setup lol  Tongue

We were running at 7Gh/s for a while!  Set my pulse racing too!

Serious question...how do you build a rig with that kind of hash rate?

Jesus I must have missed that, I saw you at 3.5 Gh/s then you disconnected, must have caught you at the end of the session.

If it was from betarigs then they allow you to configure multiple rigs as one for rental purposes, and I saw some bad ass data centres on there when I used to rent out my farm.

But never 7 Gh/s.

Prices have come down a lot now though on rentals, I used to split my farm up into 100 Mh/s chunks to make the price palatable for the punters, but now prices have plummeted it's not strange to think old world miners with massive GPU farms just configuring the whole lot as one machine through a proxy.

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

The 3.5Gh/s rig has increased its price by 1BTC per 24 hours!

It was a massive waste of money but a lot of fun at the same time.

Anyone know if there's a windoze installer for the new wallet in the pipeline - or is it only the binary?

Ta  Smiley

https://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/

The 0.9.13.15 version seems to have also the installer. I'd imagine the 0.10.13.x will get one too eventually.

So you guys want to centralize the network, and fuck the miners who got the coin this far, just to enrich the core group of node holders? If this is the current strategy it is no wonder the coin is tanking.

So it's the miners who got the coin this far? Not Evan or his beautiful MN network? Take a day to think about it and straighten out your thoughts...

Yes it's the miners, and its still the miners. See how well transactions are relayed without them.

I have thought things through, you want to turn the coin to POS to pump the price and make current masternode holders even wealthier.

The rich get richer. I can't even believe this horse shit is being entertained on darkcointalk.

Are you saying that if you're poor, and have no darkcoins, you should start mining? Yes, start mining with your gaming PC and you might have one coin by next summer.

Those "miners who got the coin this far" should have plenty of darkcoins to run a masternode by now, unless they've been mining just to dump, in which case yea, fuck them. There are plenty of other coins they can mine and dump.

I don't think we should get rid of POW either, but your reasons just don't make sense.

See what happens when you tell 80% of network, oh btw fuck you guys.

What's that 80% number?

You have not proven to me that masternodes alone can help guarantee the integrity of the public ledger. I don't think they can. Only hashing mathematics can do that...

Replace 1000 Mh/s of consensus voting power of a GPU farm with 1000 DRK of consensus voting power of a masternode and you have your proof.

Darkcoin will be called FEDcoin or ELITISTcoin, since it doesn't treat individual newcomers the same way it treats its wealthy members.
As I said in the darkcointalk thread. It's basic psychology.

Nobody wants to make rich people even more richer.

Now this is the first and only reasonable argument I've seen for not getting rid of PoW mining. Took quite a many posts until the the real reason emerged.

Masternode owners wanting to be the greedy elite by getting rid of the miners is not exactly true, consider the following: If I'm a "smug" masternode owner getting 20% (= ~1 DRK/day), and the percentage is upped to 40% which results in there being double the masternodes there are now, I would still get ~1 DRK/day with double the variance. Not that good of a proposition from a selfish perspective.

Isn't being both a miner and a Master-Node owner the nirvana when it comes to DRK?

Help secure the network and enjoy the benefits of owning Master-Nodes, feels really good doing both.

By my estimate, which is partially based on my progress, partially based on likely increases by changes I have considered but not completed, and partially pulled out of my ass, I would hazard a guess that it's possible to do 3.5 GH/s with a little over 200 280X cards. That would qualify for "mid-to-low sized farmer." 7GH/s would therefore be slightly over 400 280X, so, decent-sized farmer. Neither qualify for "balling farmer." Tongue

You're calculations are well off.

It's 2700 x 270x Toxics, I already worked it out  Grin

Before I sold most of my farm to buy masternodes I had 180 x 270x toxics and I walked around feeling like a black Pornstar most of the time...  But 7 Gh/s is  Shocked!

I don't buy into the FPGA bullshit rumours, so that amount of GPU's is just nuts!

Just did a quick job search online and no vacancies for balling farmer's assistant came up.  Shame.  Thought I found a new career.

Neither, Darkcoin can already do multisig and Evan could add timelocks in about an hour. It will take Bitcoin 6-12 months, if they ever get around to it.

Is there any chance for reducing masternodes requirements on 500 coins?
Also can somebody tell me how many coins per month (average) can be made with 1 masternode?

Thx
