I alway wonder how someone can be in a permanent state of anger like camosoul (no need to answer, Camosoul). Almost every post is filled with hatred and rage. It's a good thing that he considers himself (from what I remember) anti-social cause I sure can't imagine anyone like him out in public. Maybe when the subject of discussion isn't darkcoin he's a sweetheart though, who knows.

LOL oh come on that chap lumped camosoul with someone else and then called them both    "dumb asses" straight off the cuff what does one expect,,, as for the comments in general i find most quite comical/ witty at times

To be honest, while the anonymousxx dude is obviously a troll, my first impressions of camosoul after being here for maybe the better part of a week is that he seems to be sporting a large hate boner more often than not. But then again, who wouldn't, with the amount of stupidity that sometimes fills the thread...

Man I wish things really were that obvious.  I run the second biggest Darkcoin twitter account after the official account www.twitter.com/darkcoinnews and been here since very close to the beginning, hardly a troll. (which doesn't mean much when the beginning is less than a year but still).

If you're active in any way on the forums these are people you deal with on a constant basis. Let's say Darkcoin becomes huge and Darkcoin meetups/conferences become a thing, I sure as hell wouldn't care about meeting camosoul. The only people with his level of negativity/agression are darkcoin haters.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

I think it will be largely self-balancing anyway economically - MN profits behave in exactly the same way as miner profits - the more players the smaller the individual share. Right now there's no economic incentive to double (or more) the MN count, it's going to need a little experimentation to find the optimal solution. Evan is doing the right thing here. Smiley

1. I think DRK needs to go after the online porn industry. Right now from what I recall only a handful of sites accept bitcoin payment the majority or the very large ones are reluctant to solely due to how long it takes to confirm a bitcoin transaction. From what I last read sites that did start accepting bitcoin found their revenue increase up to nearly 100 fold. The very large sites are using embarrassingly transparent methods of payment, CC, telephone, wire transfer etc. DRK marketing needs to contact the main players and demonstrate to them how there is no risk to them with immediate confirmation and how it can increase their customers who are wary of even EPOCH or whatever showing up on their CC bill.

2. Which leads me to this: DRK needs to focus on marketing the instant transaction aspect of the coin to mass media. It is all well and good discussing the technicalities of the coin with technical blogs and crypto news sites. The masses are not interested in that, it goes over their heads and is meaningless.  You need to set about demonstrating a) how fast the transactions are and b) how anonymous it is and what it means; all in layman terms. To both the masses and online merchants. Technical mumbo jumb is just that.

I particularly agree with #2. Future marketing efforts should focus on mainstream targets, time and money spent on crptognats is completely wasted.

Every time I think it's time to start a big marketing push Evan comes up with the next innovation and I want to wait until the innovation is ready, until then, lets keep growing organically.

Two big innovations on the horizon I would wait for the big push, Instant(Tx) and dynamic MN rewards.

Instant(Tx) means DRK can become an enterprise grade financial platform (makes me smile and stare off into the distance all glassy eyed) and Dynamic MN rewords is like a Dark Gravity Well for the MN reward system, a self healing reward system.

You're seeing the benefits of having a lead developer that comes from a financial background, it's the perfect blend of technology and economics, I'm sorry for being rude but this shit gives me a semi...

Am I being to worrysome to think that if and when instant tx happen and drk becomes massively adopted being its annoymous would their be any backlash from govts claiming it could be used to fund terrorism? That scares me a bit because once that stigma gets attached I'm afraid it will be impossible to ever shake.

It's open source and anonymous, they wont be able to shut down every computer...

I'm not sure Mum and Dad's will ever by using DRK, that's what Bitcoin is for.  DRK will be for tech savvy people/organisations that value their privacy and there are plenty of those...

Make it happen down at the protocol level, or use multisig addresses that require users to countersign any movement of funds? Got to be a solution...
[/quote]

I'd love it if I could securely "buy in" on shares of a Masternode but i think that should be a separate endeavor rather than trying to tie it directly to mining.  My initial gut reaction is you will open up an attack vector if you try to combine the two functions.  That isn't to say you can't get a solution for both things but don't tie unrelated stuff together at the hip or you will end up with unintended consequences.

I think the Govts should be more concerned with people figuring out that they are more likely to get hit by a bus crossing the street than beheaded by a terrorist...  then where will the justification for their budget be?

Can I bring my guns?

As long as you let me shoot one! Grin

Please, gun safety lessons FIRST!   non-gun owners get really weird with guns..... LOL

So how many days has Mintpal been down?  3?  I trade so little, so I went where the fees were smallest, and had some ready to sell, but then suddenly MP went down.  I saw no warning, but I'm not always around Tongue  24 hours are really stretching long....

Here you go Tante...  4 simple rules.

Treat every weapon as if it were loaded
Never point your weapon at anything you don't intend to shoot
keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire
keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire

Bitcoin dumpfest - people throwing 51 BTC shots and 48 BTC shots onto any bid liquidity the moment it appears. Can't get rid of it fast enough. Looks like we might be heading for the 200's.

BTCe trollbox says we;re heading for sub $100 bitcoin and if BTCe trollbox says it it must be true.

The banks are needing to get in on this game and I'm afraid this is the only way they can get the massive liquidity they need in such an illiquid market - shake the tree to f*ck (well, that's what I'd be doing if I was them anyway Smiley). Put it this way - if we're in this to hedge ourselves against a 300 trillion derivatives crash then you'd think they might be as well since they're the ones writing the derivatives).

$343 now.

Please link me to something that explains what you see?  I am at a loss?!  Thanks!  (don't want to make you spell everything out here for me, LOL)

5 millions before the ww2 and 6 millions afterwards?!
And you call these people?!
Shame on you (unless you are the same scam as these 5 millions)!

Sorry if I pulled the wrong number out of my ass.  I should have just said millions.  One person would be too many.  I am not sure where you are coming from unless you insist it never happened.  My grandfather told me it did, I think it's way more likely that it did, especially since I've met many older people who told me their experiences in my time as well.  Are we not communicating? or are you off the wall?
