Still no payment, unlucky me lol

I wouldn't get too concerned. Most of my MN payments have been just shy of 48 hours apart but if you look below at the date/time stamps for my most recent 10, you'll see there was one period (2014-11-04) that was just 3 hours shy of 3 days! I'm sure you'll will be paid any moment now.

As I understand it only 576 payments can be made in any 24 hour period, with one payment been made with each block. Blocks are validated every 2.5 minutes so 60 minutes x 24 = 1440 minutes / 2.5 = 576 payments.

We currently have 1182 masternodes... 1182/576 = payments should be made on average every 2.05 days or 49.25 hours.

Note: When you first start a masternode you also have to add another 24 hours on before you get your first payment, that's why it's not good to keep restarting... So your first payment will take on average 73.25 hours to come through.

I think I have this right, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you for your explaination.
Regarding MN hardening this is what I did:
-firewalled everything except port 9999
-disabled root login
-restricted IP login
-disabled password access
-set SSH key access

should I feel safe?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

I truly feel the name Darkcoin is going to forever diminish the possibility of mass adoption.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Guess what made the Playstation the most popular console in history?  The black market...  They still made plenty of money from retail sales of games, however because people had the freedom to chip the console and download when they felt like it, it became the most popular gaming console in the history of the planet.

Darkcoin will be the same, people can use it normally or they can invoke Darksend when they feel like it.

No problem... as for the Masternode hardening, Flare looks after my masternodes so it's probably best to ask Flare or one of the guys who made a guide on the Darkcointalk.org forum (https://darkcointalk.org/forums/guides.66/).

 Cheesy

The name Darkcoin is one of the main reasons we have been successful so far. It ignites debate and keeps us relevant, the media likes stories that sell and Darkcoin gives them just that.  Passion positive or negative is good, indifference is the enemy.

The very first contact I had with Darkcoin back in Jan/Feb was looking at insane volumes on Cryptsy and working out it was one of the most unprofitable coins to instamine, which is why I couldn't understand why there was such a high hashrate.  Then I came to this ann and an image I never forget was the first thing I saw, it was a picture of a house burning down, insinuating a house full of scrypt mining rigs and the caption was "x11 runs cooler"...

When x11 first came onto the scene, the fact your rigs ran so cool had just as much to do with stirring the imagination as the name Darkcoin.  The two of them went really well hand in hand, because it's usually nice and cool in the Dark...

You were looking at an old wallet.  I just talked to the Dev of RainbowCoin and He (She?) just sent me the latest build.  We're in for some serious competition here.  The DRK wallet looks a little flat in comparison to their new design:

What no FaceBook integration?  I'll wait for RainbowCoinLiteDarkBitcoinDarkLite!

Never miss a dump again
http://darkco.in/monitor/

Tiny correction, there is a typo on the title. It says "Dakrcoin markets."

It's always something Vertoe. I get emails saying you used "then" instead of "than". It's brutal; it keeps me up at night fearing that more grammar is incorrect or god forbid, spelled wrong. Can you imagine? It's dreadful.

Really simplified and nice all in all. Good job.

Haha!  That's the one!  It had such a profound impact on my opinion of Darkcoin, I immediately switched the whole farm over and have never mined anything else since.  A picture truly says 1000 words.

That's funny how we are still laughing at funny wallet designs while Evan is pretty much is saying: "You are screwed if you use Darkcoin for any 'dark' purposes until i push a fix" Cheesy Or are whales keeping the people distracted on purpose while they are moving their Darkcoins to the exchanges for dumping? lol

It's complete and utter trust that the DRK team will resolved the issue, coupled with being happy that bugs are being found when they should be found...

So I took some time off today to finally setup my first MasterNode. Have to say, I just followed TaoSatoshi's noob proof instructions and everything went perfectly. I'm feeling great!  Cool

I really need to do the same, I intend on following TaoSatoshi's guide also

It's indicating that the Darkcoin team and community are pretty thorough.
