Joe Public will be able to use it after I figure out all of the ways users like yourself are getting stuck  Smiley

Can you send me your debug.log? evan@darkcoin.io

Well, fair enough... I think the wallet needs some UX love in terms of messages, feedback and such. 'Darksend is idle' doesn't mean anything to me...
I'd like to see a simplified flowchart infographic showing what's going on and what stage of the mixing process we're at - with detailed information available (on mouseover maybe?) about what each stage means and reasons why we might be stuck there if we are, etc.

Anyway, thanks for the offer of help, I've emailed over the log file now.

Wow, I'm pretty stupid, but it looks like this project basically invented iptables and he is listed as a core developer, and in order to be a core developer you have to submit successful patches for a long period of time and be cool. I may have misread but it seems like he's a badass.

How many coins in your wallet? In coin control, have your coins been split (powers of 2)?

Well I have 4 wallets mixing at the very moment.

Which would imply that mine should be mixing with yours?
Something seems wrong... I'm after some support.
I've scoured the internet and can find nothing. Can't see how this is going to get mainstream adoption if people are struggling to use basic advertised functionality - instructions are hard to find and not exactly easy to understand, messages and debug log are both pretty incomprehensible... and I'm a developer, how is joe public going to use this?!

Hummm, that sounds like a call to action....

guys i love darkcoin more than any other coin by far and Ive never used the darksend feature so two days ago i enabled darksend mixing for 4 rounds and still as of this moment its still idle? is no one using the mixing? its hard for me to believe in two days no one else has tried to anonymize funds. For this to become widely adopted there needs to be something entice users to enable darksend mixing.

I've been mixing for a few days without issue. Try opening the console and do a "darksend auto" which will try to denominate, look in the debug.log to see what it says.
Thanks Evan will do!
edit: heres the debug log output
2014-12-07 21:07:11 DoAutomaticDenominating : No funds detected in need of denominating
2014-12-07 21:07:13 dseep - Couldn't find masternode entry CTxIn(COutPoint(cf5e72f5eb0863a3a038de0f6987126dedd027a0d97efd5f6d4d34cd9f32a251, 1), scriptSig=)
2014-12-07 21:07:13 dseep - Asking source node for missing entry CTxIn(COutPoint(cf5e72f5eb0863a3a038de0f6987126dedd027a0d97efd5f6d4d34cd9f32a251, 1), scriptSig=)

when i click darksend transaction it says 0 darksend balance

Unless you have completed DS, you will have 0 for a darksend balance. You said you were doing 4 rounds, what amount did you specify to anon and how many coins are currently in the wallet? In coin control, where are you at in rounds for your denominations?
in options i have 2 drk set to anyomize at 4 rounds, its been sitting idle for almost 3 days.. im sure its something im doing wrong at this point since most people don't have a problem and i can be an idiot and miss obvious things.

Can you send me your debug.log? I'll see if I can figure out what's happening. evan@darkcoin.io

Edit: You can't anonymize 2DRK, it's MUST be at least 2.5DRK (so use 3DRK). However, I'm not sure why you're not getting an error. I'll look into that.
Im kinda of embarrassed to post this but i changed the denomination to 3drk and like magic its now mixing, i always over look the obvious

OH man, if you only knew how many obvious things I'm always missing, LOL.  You'd think I'm senile!  But I just have short term memory issues, LOL.... wait... that is very similar to senility isn't it?  LOL, oh dear!
