In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

Please let me rephrase my previous statement. Please forgive me beforehand Jestah, and any others.

AVOID THE OFFICIAL RIPPLETRADE.COM PLATFORM LIKE THE PLAGUE !!

It is the most excruciatingly painful, fund stealing, buggy platform, if there ever was one. It is absolutely the worst god-awful thing
I've ever tried. Been pulling my hairs out in utter frustration. From funding, to trading, selling and cashing out, every single step made me curse incessantly. Albeit, I withdrew and funds evaporated. Contacted support to figure it out.

 FUD?

But this is the actual transfer !! back to Ripple network!? And even less that what they said they'd only allow ?!... BTC tx fees my ass!

I have absolutely no clue what is going on. Sorry for the rant. I'll stop now. Just had to vent out a little to someone who might understand my angsts...

you guys know you can mine scrypt and  a bunch of algos on yaamp and get paid in drk right?

Really? Cool, where can I see that? Can't seem to find that info. It just says

Quote
YAAMP is an instant switching mining pool with auto exchange to Bitcoin.

It looks like it only pays out in bitcoin; don't see anything about Dark payouts there...

The only multipool I know of that pays in Darkcoin is xpool (includes SHA-256)...

Are there any other multipools that payout in Dark?

Yaamp allows you to receive your payout in DRK or any other altcoin besides BTC.  Just need to use a DRK wallet address.  With Trademybit's demise, I switched over today and looks good so far...

Hi everybody!

Well… First anniversary of DARKCOIN is coming - so I feel we need something SPECIAL to celebrate it. Smiley

Well… I am from Russia. So pity my "non-perfect and slow English» doesn’t allow me to PR Darkcoin in «international» internet. So pity that PR inside Russia becoming too risky these days. But I have an idea how I can be useful... Smiley

Well… looks like 90% of crypto world are men.
And 90% of them are heterosexual…
So I know the best informal way to engage such community - with cool girls! Smiley
And girls from ex-USSR are relatively beautiful, friendly, affordable, … - so they are most effective to attract! Smiley
So my idea is to produce photo-competition «Darkcoin Lady 2015» inside biggest «russian-speaking» social network VK.com
Main task is not to engage local russian cryptocommunity with Darkcoin (but I’ll try to do it as additional bonus) - but get dozens of promos: photos of «Darkcoin + ladies» - that you guys can use then to engage international communities all around the world. Smiley
So…
My first step - I set up PR-entertaining-oriented Darkcoin community here https://vk.com/we_darkcoin (everybody may join - welcome).
No boring stuff for miners, MN-operators and testers - just cool videos (and cool girls are coming Wink and other PR things.
I prepared basic rules of competition. May be changed: https://vk.com/topic-82900521_31040843
I prepared basic prizes for 9 winners (120$) - But if we together could multiply it - we could attract bigger number of prettier girls with less advertising expenses.
I prepared basic budget (100$) to advertise-promote this competition inside VK.com Will try to act as cheap «virus marketing» but money still needed. So if we together could multiply it - we may organize a kind of «Darkcoin great epidemic».
I will do and sponsor this project by myself anyway. But my budget, time and competence are limited. With your help I could release it in higher level!

Project needs your:
Activity. During and after photo-competition - please repost all photos everywhere you can to PR Dakrcoin. Will you do it?
Advice and ideas. What kind of photos will be most effective for DRK? I think something like this: https://vk.com/album-82900521_208385481 - but with «darkcoin» promo «in hands». No porn, alcohol, tobacco, weapons and other negative stuff. But soft erotic is allowed. Correct? Please announce and discuss it also there https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615 as well (for me it is not easy to do it in English - so I rarely visit that forum)
Promos. So girls can select-print-use them. I think about 4 items. Is it best english? Please correct for best «marketing» :
«I❤️DARKCOIN»
«I❤️DARKCOIN - because I like it Innovative»
«I❤️DARKCOIN - because I like it Fast»
«I❤️DARKCOIN - because I like it Private»

Please could somebody make these images in our «corporate style» like https://vk.com/album-82900521_208335826
3. Donations. I don’t ask your DRKs directly (my reputation isn’t big here yet Smiley ) - Maybe Tungfa can organize collection donations now - because we need to know our total budget before starting (even if final-prizes will be payed just after let say 1 month). Please post if you are willing to donate - so we can forecast total budget.

My initiative doesn’t mean that other people or even «darkcoin foundation» shouldn’t organize other own good «Darkcoin - 1 year!» PR as well (for example in Facebook, press or even TV). I just do my small part - that I strongly believe will be cool, effective and relatively inexpensive.
Come on, we can’t code - but also can do something important for Darkcoin!

P.S. I currently have no experience in SocialMediaMarketing - but have some experience in other kinds of marketing in RU internet - so hope will not make too many mistakes.

Discussion is here: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/going-to-start-photo-competition-darkcoin-lady-2015-everybody-feel-free-to-support-it.3263/

LOT's of really good ideas up there :-D

Avast hates crypto - you'll see as you run wallets
You'll need to find the -exceptions- location
I actually just deleted it for that reason - ugh

Same with Kaspersky...

And I have some 3.5 btc stolen same way as Stone's, year ago. Kaspersky pure got it 10 days after, Avast actually 3 days before Kaspersky...

Or an encrypted Linux VM with a super strong password in a "TrueCrypt container" (looking into more up to date solution)

That will be my weekend thing  Grin

truecrypt is ok, but don't use versions above 7.1a   https://truecrypt71a.com/.
I use other pc only for expensive wallets and only to connect an encrypted pendrive with everything on it Smiley(blockchain, wallets, shortcuts with specified datadir). I use 32GB for BTC and DRK but soon I will have to change it for bigger one

edit: and every few weeks I change wallet completely because you don't know that actually someone didn't steal it already and is not working hard to crack it

Use your coin control to select the non 1000 vin. As long as the masternode payment has enough confirmations (120), you'll have no issues.

Are there any stats from directbet.eu? Like which cryptocurrency is used most? Would be interesting to know.... It is probably to soon now, but after one month... then we have a good indicator which currency is preferred by customers. My bet? Bitcoin first, but Darkcoin has already surpassed Litecoin.

One page back we have this info :

Guys I have great info Smiley
I`ve contacted Michelle from DirectBet about the drk volume.
Here is what they responded to me Smiley
------------------
Hi splawik21,

Greetings from DirectBet.

In regards to your question on DRK volume, it's too early to make a conclusion but so far this month Darckoin betting volume passed Dogecoin and Litecoin and is second to Bitcoin !

I'm sure the Darkcoin community will love to hear that so feel free to spread the word.

By the way, we are nominated for the 2014 Bitcoin Gambling Awards.

Isn't it easier to use an USB? Why would you use an external HDD when it is quite big in size and in amount of memory?

I wonder what we will get to see on the anniversary of this coin.
