Just saw a really interesting statistic, a lot of the masternodes are now with VULTR. Before TAO wrote his guide Digital Ocean were the 2nd largest provider next to Amazon.
I'm wondering if TAO's guide has anything to do with it?
If it does have something to do with it, there's hard evidence that we need to be a lot more helpful to new business coming into crypto in general.
TAO, Tante2 and whomever else is taking the time to write helpful articles for the general public to become more familiar with Darkcoin, you are just as important as the developers, keep up the outstanding work...
I can say that the only reason I finally made a MasterNode was because of Tao's super newbie proof guide. Guy's a saint.

Tao's guide though is a copy of this one: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/complete-masternode-guide-windows-local-linux-remote-vultr.1367/Yes, there is additional stuff added over time, but it was done up before he did his. Having said all that, tailored guides to VPS providers is stupid. A real guide should also walk a person through finding a viable host without ending up contributing to the problem by using the same providers the majority already use. There are hundreds of VPS providers out there.

Have any of you done some particular variations to your Masternode setups to make it more efficient or secure. I added 2FA and it has really let my mind at ease.

I'm very new to Linux security, best I could do is configure my firewall (csf) to only accept connections from my own IP address and put 2FA on my VULTR / Digital Ocean accounts to protect console access. There's a lot more you can do I'm sure however that's the limit of my knowledge.

Considering I don't run hot nodes, no. A good password and firewall is enough for me. Having said that, when I change providers, I will more than likely install 2fa when I setup my nodes, simply because it's easy.

My darksend balance is 0.00DRK, how to add my DRK to darksend balance ? Darksend balance is the coins gone COMPLETELY through the mixing process. Must enable Darksend Mixing I hava enabled Darksend Mixing some days ago, but Darksend balance is still 0 and completion is 0%. I have set Amount and Rounds to 900 DRK/ 7 Rounds, it displays as Submitted to masternode, waiting in queue. How many coins in your wallet? In coin control, have your coins been split (powers of 2)? I don't know how to split coins. I waited for some hours ,now it's 99% completed and 522 darksend balance now(there is 682 DRK in wallet). thanks guys.

i'm going to do a darksend test to see how long it takes to mix. i'll report back my progress. i'm going to mix 112 DRK @4 rounds starting right now. my setting is for 1001 DRK @ 4 rounds.
a few minutes later and it's already doing it's thing and shows 50% complete. it says inputs have an average of 2 of 4 rounds (50/1.0xxx). a few more minutes later and we're at 75% complete with 3 of 4 rounds complete (75/1). no charges so far! wow, minutes later and i'm at 96% complete with 3.8 of 4 rounds complete (95.1/1.0xxx). available darksend balance is now 42 dark ready to send. seems to be stuck at 96%. this is where it always takes forever. it says "submitted to masternode, waiting in queue" followed by "darksend idle" followed sometimes by "darksend request incomplete, no matching denominations found for ..." and then repeats. still stuck at 96%. i accidentally closed the wallet just now so i had to reopen it and start darksend mixing again. it started right back up and submitted the last little bit (4%) to the masternode and is waiting in queue again. i have 42 drk out of the 112 drk available to darksend. i had to shut down my wallet overnight but i'm firing it up again. it only took about 10 minutes to complete 2 rounds but then it got stuck at 96% for about 6-7 hours yesterday. we'll see how long it takes to complete the last 4%. i just started it again and says it has been "submitted to the masternode, waiting in queue", then it goes back to "darksend is idle" and repeats. 7 hours later and still stuck at 96% with 42 drk out of 112 anonymized through 4 rounds. that's about 14 hours being stuck at 96%. the last time i mixed a few weeks ago i had similar results using only 2 rounds and it got stuck at around 90%+. that round never completed and i gave up and just waited for this latest update and started over. the time before that it also stuck around 90%+ for a day or so but finally completed 100%. what's causing this issue? what's the fix?

Is the Darkcoin web wallet http://darkcoin-e.com/ a scam ? One of our employees deposited 1 DRK to test it but was unable to withdraw. It's stuck on "processing" for several days and no replies to e-mails. It's high on Google search, right after the official wallet. Better never use unofficial wallets. One of our employees wanted to give away some free Darkcoin bets but didn't have the time to download the full client and wait for it to synch so she was looking for a web wallet. Luckily she suspected it was a scam and first tested it with a small deposit. I think you should add a warning to the opening post and website. This Darkcoin web wallet is on top of Google search and from a quick look it's not an obvious scam. It will be bad for Darkcoin if unaware users will convert their BTC to DRK only to deposit it to a dead end.

If I read right, they accept different types of crypto wich first have to be deposited into their online account. You can then make an order with your cryptonator account wich will deduct it from your online wallet balance. Assuming this is the case, I would prefer a instant payment method on a shop rather then trusting and depositing something to them first. Just my 2 cents tho

However, if a logged-in user visit STORE section of his/her account, there's a choice of cryptocurrency to pay with. Please see attached screenshot. We are not dealing with fiat money at all. USD is used to show card denomination only.

Thanks, Ignition! I don't do all that I do for recognition, but it IS nice to be acknowledged for my efforts from time to time. My guide has helped a lot of people, and I have brought countless others into the Dark through the Twitter Initiative! I believe in educating people about Dark in a fun way, so it is not so intimidating for newcomers. Some people here can be quite condescending, and that is not the way we should be to attract people to our amazing coin. There are a lot of people who may not be so technically inclined, like myself, but these people see the value in DRK just the same. We need to be nice to them, and avoid name-calling if they don't understand something right away. That's counter-productive. Have a great day, Tao

Cheers, altough my question wasn't about the used currencies but about possible region-bound cards (e.g. only usable in US or EU). I'll email them to get it sorted
