Hello,

I'm pleased to announce Animecoin block explorer: http://aniexplorer.cloudapp.net/

Sources:

I think this little help will make community happy.  Smiley
Enjoy!

PS:
  • I will try to keep block explorer working but it's will be better if another supporters will run additional instances of block explorer.
  • Block difficulty doesn't show correctly because Anime/Quark has non standard algo for diff calculation.
  • Tips will be greatly appreciated, ANI: AdA5nLS5FtPws6A3BX8aXccbP7fReptdw7

Good job! I am so glad to see there are people contributing to the coin.

A nooby observation and question:

I was expecting that, with the Animecoin Block Explorer it would be easy for me to give more transparency to the Animecoiner Giveaway (and, at the same time, to make it also easier for me to administrate it) by simply publishing it's URL (http://aniexplorer.cloudapp.net/address/ANGqML2fZUyeYejy7otuFkLYwEVjjjYDXS).

But, to my surprise, today, when testing the new block explorer (thank you again, testz Smiley) I saw my balance was "0.00000000 ANI"!!! (what a scare, at first). But then I've calmed down, and checked my Animecoin Wallet Software, and (phew!! What a relief hehe) the balance was correct...

So I've made some tests, and noticed that the Animecoin Wallet Software keeps moving my funds (for what reason, I don't know), but, still, the ANIs are available at my wallet, and I am always able to transfer them whenever necessary.

(now the nooby question...) Is it normal? Does it have to be this way? I mean, I had another address at the same wallet that I was using as a savings account. Now I've decided to stop using this savings address, and only keep the giveaway account at that wallet.

Anyway, it make no sense to publish the address' block explorer URL, because it keeps "0ANI" balance.

Just for the sake of analogy: My Bitcoin Wallet Software does not mess like that...

Any lights here? How could I allow the giveaway balance to be transparent to the public?

Thanks ^^

It's a regular coins behavior:
http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/1629/why-does-bitcoin-send-the-change-to-a-different-address

You can make giveaway balance transparent to the public by making google docs table where record purpose, amount, address and transaction id.

Ow, thanks, testz,

I could never have imagined that is the way bitcoin-qt works. It's because I've always used other softwares (mycelium). But the reasoning for that behaviour makes sense.

(...)

You can make giveaway balance transparent to the public by making google docs table where record purpose, amount, address and transaction id.

Good idea. That's what I've just done Wink I've put it here:

Anyone with a good config file? And should it be named animecoin.conf?

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

Anyone with a good config file? And should it be named animecoin.conf?

Hi, Antonio8,

Excuse me for my newbie question, but I'd really like to learn more and more about cryptocurrencies: What is the function of the config file in this case? I ask this, because I have been using Animecoin wallet (windows) for quite a some time now, and it mines about 10240ANI daily for me (solo mining on function). I don't usually have issues with the software but only sometimes when it freezes (maybe for being active non stop for a long time), but I restart it and it goes on doing it's job very fine (at least I see it as very fine, maybe because I have never had any other examples to compare).

What I've done: in the beginning, I have just downloaded the bundle software as offered at the Animecoin site, unzipped it, and started it running just like received. The only special config by me was to have manually opened port 8333 at my router's firewall and windows firewall: it usually has more than 8 active connections (case in which I believe I am contributing to the network).

If it is not much trouble, could you (or someone else) please give a light here: I'd like to know if I am doing things right.

Thanks Wink

I am also still a rookie at this but here is from my understanding. Someone else can chime in also.
The configuration file is just basically a file that has everything assigned to help in solo mining. Like username and password, port, nodes to help with connections.

I do not personally like opening ports on my router.

So basically with the config file it allows the process of solo mining by bypassing port forwarding.

Just know that the config file must be placed in the coin's appdatta folder. Also you must create a shortcut of the coin qt file and assign the short cut to "-server".

Also with this method I can solo all 4 of my rigs to the same wallet.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

Just in case anyone wants it, this is the config file I used to solo mine. I don't remember where I got all the info but some of this never cahnges:

rpcuser=youruser
rpcpassword=yourpass
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=23972
server=1
daemon=1
logtimestamps=1
gen=1
genproclimit=-1

Yesterday was the first time I mined this coin. I did about 4 or 5 hours on a pool and about 9 or 10 solo mining. Got about 484,700 total for the day. The solo mining did slow down a lot towards the end. Difficulty probably jumped, I never checked it. Just went to a different coin that just came out. Will try this one again later on a pool.

Thank you very much for your info. I'll try to set this config here.

You surelly have quite a good machine there, for your mining is very profitable. I only manage to mine about 1/9 of what you get (I CPU mine it solo hehe). Do you use one of those new mining specialised hardwares?

Hello! I'm from Russia and only today learned of the existence of such currency. I hope at least somebody will respond - in our city (Bryansk) in the summer will be held the third Anime Festival (http://vk.com/baffest2014).
I want to advance a little of crypto currency, so the prize pool and the rental price of the festival was taken to try to dial it exactly.

For this purpose I chose DOGE, but then found a ANI. Tentatively, all necessary 2kk DOGE or 200kk ANI: it 25k rubles (RUS) on the payment of rent for the House of Culture and about 6k (RUS) for the prize and souvenirs to the participants.

Slowly I began to collect a little. If someone does not feel sorry for (and visible balance and replenishment process):
DOGEcoin:DSTJE5wNgjoC39T5GPHJodxZecpHc3oiLD
ANIcoin:ASc3EesZM87N7qRjbZ4b8KoSbJCMonEtLk
All thanks in advance!
P.S. If all works out, it will appear on the poster of the festival emblem DOGE ANI currency and as a sponsor.
P.P.S. I am one of the assistant organizers of the festival, so I can easily get in touch and answer your questions.

PPS I apologize for my curve English
