Good work my friends! That's why I believe in Animecoin! If each one of us do our best for our Community ANI will go to the moon!

 Cheesy

read this and it crossed my mine that if we want to get word out and get this coin off the ground perhaps we need to start going to some of these. Coin Congress to Convene in San Francisco. crowd fund for someone to go to these events and promote ani. just a thought. whats your thoughts on this idea folks?

The idea is great, but even if the Community cannot afford the expenses to fund the participation of one of us in congresses and conventions around the world, it is still possible that any of us go to these events when they happen in our own cities or countries. Whenever there is this opportunity I am sure no one of us will waste it, and we are sure to have our "ambassadors" there from us.

Another idea is that each one of us organise meet ups in our own cities, and invite our real life friends to watch some animes, exchange mangas, chat, and trade Animecoins (maybe with sushis, or barbecue, or pizzas, some drinks... Wink)

Exemple of event in which Animecoin will be present:
Hello! I'm from Russia and only today learned of the existence of such currency. I hope at least somebody will respond - in our city (Bryansk) in the summer will be held the third Anime Festival (http://vk.com/baffest2014).
I want to advance a little of crypto currency, so the prize pool and the rental price of the festival was taken to try to dial it exactly.

For this purpose I chose DOGE, but then found a ANI. Tentatively, all necessary 2kk DOGE or 200kk ANI: it 25k rubles (RUS) on the payment of rent for the House of Culture and about 6k (RUS) for the prize and souvenirs to the participants.

Slowly I began to collect a little. If someone does not feel sorry for (and visible balance and replenishment process):
DOGEcoin:DSTJE5wNgjoC39T5GPHJodxZecpHc3oiLD
ANIcoin:ASc3EesZM87N7qRjbZ4b8KoSbJCMonEtLk
All thanks in advance!
P.S. If all works out, it will appear on the poster of the festival emblem DOGE ANI currency and as a sponsor.
P.P.S. I am one of the assistant organizers of the festival, so I can easily get in touch and answer your questions.

PPS I apologize for my curve English

Great news!

Please do your best to spread the word about Animecoin!! That is just the kind of event that our community MUST contribute to Wink

I've just sent you 100,000ANI (Trans. ID 310e9d19cdcd520548b75566d99abc0cbf4aae76bf3bbd649657779ee52f107b-000), and I am really very glad to be able to help.

I've also put a link at http://animecoiner.blogspot.com and tweeted about XD

And also here http://animecoiner.blogspot.com/2014/05/baf-fest-2014.html and here http://animecoiner.deviantart.com

I wish I could be there too... I love Russia!

All the best

P.S. Great English ^^

Thank you for the support and trust, we will succeed!

Thats a good idea. Lets get the ball rolling, in a couple of weeks, I think two (correct me if I'm wrong), Animecoin falls to 50 coins a block as a reward, thats when the coin should skyrocket. Cheesy

Hi, stompix, welcome! Thank you for your suggestion. Indeed, it's a wonderful idea. As I have said before, I have been in touch with many merchants and services, introducing Animecoin. Each one of us should do the same. I am sure that any merchant, upon seeing that so many people are interested in, and asking about, Animecoin, will decide to adopt ANI.

Hey there!

I have spent this whole weekend reading ALL the posts in this Animecoin thread, trying to find enough info in order to create an "animecoin.conf" file. Please, have a look in what I was able to get to (can someone please check it to see if it is all correct).

Quote
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcconnect=*
DNSSEED=1
testnet=0
rpcport=4357
port=4358
addnode=96.43.130.251
addnode=175.44.100.250
addnode=93.188.81.208
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
maxconnections=80
gen=1
logtimestamps=1
genproclimit=-1

Here is a quote from Feb. 19, from Ani-chan suggesting a coin.conf:

Hello!

Someone asks me to post Animecoin.conf example. So here it is:

Code:
listen=1
maxconnections=80
gen=0
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=4357
port=4358
server=1
daemon=1
addnode=96.43.130.251
addnode=175.44.100.250
addnode=93.188.81.208

With love,
Ani-chan.

Well, from everything I have read, there are lot's of interesting info. One of these info, I'm quoting below, is about cloud mining. Can someone please also check and confirm if this is still a good working tutorial. I am thinking about setting up soma AWS cloud mining (the more miners, the more stable will be Animecoin Wink)

(I am such a newbie... I wish I could understand a little more about these tech issues...)

Thank you

OK here's a quick way to get a few droplets running on digital ocean:

Currently only the official miner is working, will update when improved version is good to go.

Sign up at https://www.digitalocean.com/?refcode=09b6de6e0fc8

Create a droplet:

Set the host name
Select the cheapest $5/mo (or most expensive if you like)
Select "Debian 7.0 x64" which is Debian under the Linux Distributions tab
Once created, you will receive an email with the IP address, username, and password.

Download putty from here: http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

Enter the IP address of the server and connect.

Login with the details provided in the email.

Then paste in the following (line by line if you like)

Code:
sudo apt-get update
apt-get -y install automake autoconf build-essential bc curl dos2unix fail2ban git haveged
apt-get -y install libboost-all-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libdb++-dev libleveldb-dev libminiupnpc-dev libssl-dev m4 nano unzip vim
update-rc.d haveged defaults
service haveged start
dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=64M count=16
mkswap /swapfile
swapon /swapfile
git clone https://github.com/Animecointeam/Anime-CPUMiner
cd Anime-CPUMiner/
./autogen.sh
./configure CFLAGS="-O3"
make
cp ./minerd /usr/local/bin/
apt-get -y install supervisor
mkdir -p /var/log/supervisor

touch /etc/supervisor/conf.d/anime.conf

Then edit the file with:

Code:
nano /etc/supervisor/conf.d/anime.conf

Paste in the following remembering to change the pool (-o), worker or address (-u) and password (-p)

Code:
[program:anime]
command=/usr/local/bin/minerd -a anime -o POOL -u WORKER_USERNAME -p WORKER_PASSWORD
stdout_logfile=/var/log/supervisor/%(program_name)s.log
stderr_logfile=/var/log/supervisor/%(program_name)s.log
autorestart=true

Press control-x and save

Code:
service supervisor start

This will start the mining. You can then monitor with:

Code:
tail -f /var/log/supervisor/anime.log

Check everything looks ok, then shutdown the droplet:

Code:
shutdown now -h

This will terminate the putty session.

Go back to the control panel on digitalocean, and create a snapshot.

You can then create 4 more droplets from this image. If you have unique worker names, you'll have to login and change them using the nano command above.

Now you have some hashes.

Will this coin ever be worth more than 1 sat ?

Hi, Apostle4444. This wil depend on our work as a community. If you'd like to join us and help, you are welcome.

Smiley

Good work ! This is the right way to develop a coin. Anime doesn't attract the attention of trolls and disrupters because the monetary incentive is not immediate.

Konnichiwa, Majormax, it's always so good to see you here.

Yes, things are walking the best way they can now. See, the ANI exchange rate today is 0.00000004 BTC (0.00002335 USD). It was about 0.00000002 BTC not very long ago. That's great, because that was a natural movement, not an artificially induced one.

There are still many people dumping ANIs, mostly the miners, and it is their RIGHT to do it, because they need to profit from their (very important) service. BTW, any cryptocurrency must give all the necessary support to miners, because they are the "lungs" of the currency (while the community is the 心). Both must work in tune. Now it's up to the community to be naturally creating buy support: more buy support, means better prices, which brings in more miners, resulting in a stronger currency.

Now, for the buy support to be sustainable, we need utilities for the currency. Simply hoarding it will, in the end, makes more bad than good to the true currency, because money NEEDS to circulate in order to be effective. That's basic. The more it is useful, and circulates, more value it will receive (that's what worries me most now about BTC and the altcoins in general... people are not willing to spend their BTC, they prefer to hold and wait it to skyrocket... IMHO the effects will be opposite...). Anyway, if money does not circulate well, then no merchant will be interested in it, you can be sure (that's why it is important that the coin be fairly widespread, it circulates more easily - with the advantage that it also prevents orchestrated pumps and dumps).

Another important detail: VALUE comes from the coin per se, it must not come from the eventual exchanges it might be traded on. While I always vote for ANI to be added to new exchanges, and I thank all those who do vote, actually I am pretty satisfied with the exchanges that already believe in our Animecoin, and already give us their support (see links here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=423339.msg7539465#msg7539465). They are very good exchanges, and I am very thankful to all of them. Of course, more exchanges means more safety, more exposure, more reach, more volume, more options, etc. But Animecoin value cannot depend on being included in some new exchange, because this kind of dependance is only pump-n-dump wise: it gives us no real value, but only unsustainable (and risky) price, good only for short-term profits, but maybe not so good in the long run. (We must always put our focus on the Animecoin objectives, and they are long term objectives - see animeco.in)

So, as long as I see the community working together for Animecoin, and I see progresses, I am satisfied, no matter the eventual price at the exchanges.

And I am very happy with our community, because, little by little, we are joining forces, and, although I would love to see the Dev also openly participating (no doubt it would give more trust and strenght to ANI), I know it's Ani-chan's right not to be here  (in the open, because, who knows Ani-chan is not amongst us with a different nick, after all Wink). The Dev has his/her personal reasons not to be participating, and I am not here to judge anyone. (Satoshi Nakamoto is not openly active to BTC, and it has not been a problem at all...)

Thank you, my friend.

And, to Animecoin Community: 大好きだよ! ^^

p.s. I have no intentions to be a leader or a guru here. I am only doing what I believe is the correct thing to do. If any of you have any other better ideas, or opinions, please, fell free to share with all of us. The important is the community, not personal objectives. Thank You.

well my thoughts here. ani is fine the way it is. just needs some merchants useing it. 2 if we could find someone to make a exchanges a anime exchange that would raise this coin to where it should be. also a video ani style about the coin and where we want to take it would be a good idea as well

make a exchanges a anime exchange

Huh what
heh... if I understood you well... about ANI's price, I believe it will improve with due time. For that we would need a buying support much stronger then the Miner's selling pressure. It depends only on us... Maybe if each one of us introduces Animecoin to our friends, and bring them to the community, there will be more interest in using and buying Animecoin (for example each one of us could "create" an informal ANI market with our friends - after all, if we believe in Animecoin we naturally give enough value for it, enough to use it as a currency. With time, these informal markets would start to interconnect with each other... yes merchants are important, but we cannot depend on anyone else but only on ourselves)

* An idea that comes to my mind at this very moment: anyone of us can start a thread at the market section of this BTCTalk forum offering to sell anything fos ANIs. Anything that you eventually have (mangas would be great, or services, for example) that you would like to sell... so, instead of offering at ebay, for example, why not offer it here with a price in animecoins? It would work great, of course if the product or service offered is interesting for someone else, it will be sold, with the advantage that a buying pressure would be created for Animecoin. I might do this. Actually I have already tried to, offering to sell a Game Character I have (Tibia), but I guess it is against the (Tibia's?) rules, because my offer was deleted :/ (by the way, PM me if interested hehe)...

About the video idea, it is really a great idea, and very important. Actually it is one of our main goals. I do know some people who work with Animation here in my country, but they are professionals, and they want to earn $$$ for their work (it's very natural), unfortunatelly I cannot afford, and our CrowdFund, although wonderful, is not enough, because we are already engaged with the Android Wallet project... But those of us, members of the community, with enough talent (that's not my case hehe) could do it. I am sure that the other members would give plenty of AnimeTips Cheesy

I think I was able to comment on your idea, highlandknight, thank you so much for participating a lot here. You surelly help our community so much and we are so glad with that Smiley

Thank you too, isaevski, it's always good to have you here with us Wink

Cheers
