The previous Dev set up 2 face Book pages, when he reappeared he promised to make a few of us admins on it, but that never happened, so we would need to create another one.

I was meant to have been given admin for the new FB page (even set up an account for it), but it never happened.
If/when forking the chain, we just need to get the exchanges and pools on board (and let as many folks as possible know ahead of time), it'll make the current chain obsolete, no point mining on a chain that's not recognised by the exchanges.
The problem with public polls is they can be abused and allows idiots/trolls to vote which skews the results. Tried it before on another coin and it got screwed up taking the coin in a bad direction.
It's times like this, I wish Google Wave hadn't been shut-down or the open sourcing of it had gone better.

If forking, what happens to the CASH coin already in people's wallet today?

Nothing changes, you'd still keep it all. E3A. Think about when the roads are upgraded or repaired, your car remains the same, it just runs smoother on the new road.

Do I get new tags (registration sticker) for me "car"? If nothing need to happen, then after your fork, I (or a few of us) can keep running the old software and keep mining with the old pool. I would probably get CASH very fast because most of you guys will have left. Can I spend the new CASH and the old CASH the same way. There has to be some mechanism to switch over. Or will the new forked network automatically reject new CASH mined the old way (by looking at timestamp)?

Or will the new forked network automatically reject new CASH mined the old way (by looking at timestamp)? A hard fork is just what it sounds like, we fork the block chain. You set the fork to happen at some point in the future to allow everyone to get the new wallet first, then at a certain block you fork the block chain to make your changes, whether that be changing the algorithm, used for mining, the checkpoint server, or what ever. If you are still using the old wallet at that point anything you do will only be recorded in the old block chain not the new one. Hence for a hard fork to succeed you must get the exchanges and pools onside to use the new wallet else it will fail. So yes you get a new 'registration sticker' that would be the new wallet you need to download

Further to Tmuir's (almost) spot on reply Yes, you could stay on the current wallet and continue to mine coins with that wallet, however you would only be able to exchange those coins with other people on that version. Any OLD coins mined after the fork would show in an updated wallet as greyed out and unable to send/mint or do anything. That's the side of open source that's groovy, if you want to roll out a change, you need to get a sufficient number of people to to use it. So if this dev turns out to be a crook and puts some code in the new wallet where 30% of mined coins are set to his personal wallet, we can all just swtich back to the current version and his mischievous endeavors would be for nothing if he can't convince ~80% or so of us that it's a good thing Open Office is a good example. People weren't happy with the direction that was going in, so a group formed up to fork the code and it became Libre Office, which is now the go-to for many pepole, leaving the OoO guy's holding their hats.

There's actually plenty of good [better] options for a domain name.
CryptoCash.me is available.
And there's a bunch of different CashCoin domains available as well with no hyphens.
I think that's the best way to go.
Edit: The best yet would be CashCoin.org but Charlie Shrem owns it. I heard he gives away domains to help the crypto cause. Does anyone know him well enough to ask if he'll give that domain up? It would be the perfect domain for this coin I think.
If not the other ones will work just fine. Preferably one without hyphens.
Have been in contact with Charlie Shrem, and he might be prepaired to let us have cashcoin.org in exchange for some CASH. He would also like to know what our plans are for CASH
If the community vote for cashcoin.org as its domain and is willing to donate towards the cost of purchase, then l will get back in contact with him and see how many CASH he wants
I know Paul has .net in mind and there are some other domanins out they like .club .expert .guru .technology .trade which tuxnut found, whats the feeling out there for the domain name!!!!!!!

Update: 1) I have a domain active, cash-coins.net, please feel free to register and let me know your username so I can throw out some roles to let people edit / update 2) I have copied the setup files for all the OS versions to the site, so if the shared sites go down, we have copies 3) I have updated and included the windows installer MSI on the site 4) I have updated the CONF file so it works! 5) I have setup a small VPS to act as a 24/7 connection for wallets This will expand into a mining system, explorer and payment gateways in later dates 6) If you want to register a domain, please feel free and forward to this (the above domain). 7) I have submitted the windows version (right now, but can expand later for mac ect) to download.com and other software sites. I have started a new Cash Coins FB Page ( https://www.facebook.com/pages/CashCoins/1456732187912241 ) Please like and tell me if you want to take a role on the FB page, am happy to make people admin / mods ect Future Plans: 1) I would suggest we need to build a dev team, while I am happy to do dev work, I am doing my masters degree, so would be nice to have a small team working to better the systems as required. 2) Get CASH listed up on more mining systems / exchanges.

The new ebsite is a great start, but the two pools listed on your website are no good at the moment http://cash.dedicatedpool.com/Has turned off cash and minebig is currently stuck and hasn't worked for over a week. The only public cash pool still running I'm aware of is http://cash.n50.ru/index.phpSo if you can set up a mining pool that would be great and desperately needed too.

Thanks Tmuir12, I will remove both on the site and get that one listed! don't wanna send people to the right places.. The site is mostly a copy from the first site, but we now at least have control over it and a FB page, so that is also a start! I am happy to get a mining pool setup but the costs are what limit me right now hahaha, as gonna need a good VPS but its a worth in progress Paul.

tJust wondering if its possible to set up Cash to peer ro peer mine like they have done with Vert and a few other coins, helps to decentralise it. Out of my knowledge where we can do that with cash though.
if anyone knows how to contact Minebig to get them to fix their pool that would be good too. I contacted via their support email, but heard nothing back.

I have had this reply from Charlie Shrem about the cashcoin.org domain name.
" Im not using the domain so I'd be very open to what you can afford, I dont want to take away from your project. I can also be an advisor to the project and take payment in cashcoin
Let me know "
What are your thoughts about Charlie helping out as an adviser, and receiving CASH as payment for the work he dose ?
