I am also really glad to be part of this project. A small question to the dev team. Once the audition to the stake holder account finished. What comes next? Is it going to be some sort of toDo list, so that the stakeholders can help before the release? So far, I had been tried to recruit people (two of them are stakeholders also) and to promote in my work, family, other forums, etc; now that the poll will close and we are going to enter in this transition period I really looking forward to do my best and keep the promotion

Correct me if I'm wrong but according to my fusion powered quantum ROI calculator we've struck gold here. 1 stake = 1 million NEM. If NEM were to be listed on any BTC exchange we'd see a minimum price of 1 satoshi per NEM. This equals 0.01 BTC per stake. We're rich!
It is too conservative. I will not stop until NEM's market capitalization at least reaching Litecoin's level. damn right!

This is not a "dump at the first possible opportunity" project. I'm afraid though that many stakholders think like that. Obviously there will be some major price fluctuations from the start, it takes time to get some stability ( untill the donkeys learn or get out of currency). But don't underestimate the power of supply/demand. Once people start dumping their shares price will immediately drop which in its turn will make them stop dumping their shares. And this is where the smart people take advantage by buying whatever they can get their hands on and redestributing it later at rates that does not affect the price too much Anyway, those hoping to get rich probably won't... As I have written here before; we can learn alot from the dedication the doge community has for their coin. They have the tipping and fundraising as drive to attract new people. If you take into account the share ammount of doge that are mined it is incredible that the coin is still gaining in value. This is why we should make sure that we can also build a similarly strong community! Then, anything is possible. But in the end the goal should be to achieve someting that has value (not because of the investment but) because it is usefull!

NEM in and off itself won't be more usefull than NXT or most other cryptos. The most advanced and stable priced crypto isn't usefull if you can't do anything with it (other than storing value if it's really really stable). What could and will make it more usefull is the services and other things we (mostly devs ) build around NEM.

I have been thinking what can be do to give value to NEM beyond the still restricted world of crypto currencies. Maybe, if the development can introduced the idea of NXT's coloured coins and assist's exchanges in straightforward way, I guess it can be more easy to establish markets in which NEM can be used to buy/sells gods and thus transfer value to the coin. Thus, one of the markets that NEM can exploit is those agricultural products under the denomination of Fair Trade. Quite often, those products are sealed by small cooperatives of farmers in third developed countries. I envision in the near future that NEM, thanks to its egalitarian character, can be used by small communities or cooperatives to interchange its products in a fair way, without the intromission of intermediates that inflates the prices on their benefits

Maybe I missed it, but who is going to make a client for NEM? Will it be built from scratch or are we going to use clients from NXT to make our own?
We are either going to create a client based on minusbalancer's NXT client or create a new one from scratch. I would like to add a few novel features to the NEM client, but I'm still thinking through them. If anyone is a UX designer and wants to help design the client, PM me.

We currently have a private trello board for development-related tasks. It might be reasonable to have a public trello board for non-development related tasks if there's interest?

I think it would be worth having! It means people can log into the forums and check out if they can do anything helpful without having to ask and wait for a response. Also, is there a NEM forum coming soon? It'd be nice to have a dedicated place to discuss all things NEM. Thanks for your efforts!

This has probably already been said but.. In the future when everything is in place, including the usefulness of Nem etc, I think each and everyone of us should actively spread the word of Nem. I don't just mean through the internet, but actually "going out" with pre agreed official flyers/business cards and hand them out as much as we can. We could give them out at internet cafés, outside universities/colleges, the average man in the street (you never know), shops, on walls, everywhere. The flyers would really need to make the eyes catch what its all about within a second as some people glance at a flyer for a second before binning it if it does not stand out to you. Just being an observer will not help progress much. I know you all know this but the vision of what Nem could become is just too beautiful for me not to rabbit on Of course my basic obvious idea here could be complete rubbish, It wouldn't be the first time! I was thinking the same. I'd be no use designing/making a flyer, but I'd be well up for handing them out/posting them through doors etc. This is something (as you said) which needs to come in the future when we have an established official logo and slogan etc.

We currently don't have an ETA for a NEM forum, but it is one of the TODO items.

It's what should distinguish us from NXT, an IPO with legitimacy. And I don't think 3000 share holders are really enough for that. I understand that more might not be manageable but there are also other ways of distributing coins other than giving them to the shareholders. I think Freicoin had some good ideas here. They have this program where you can donate coins to some non-profit organizations and they add extra coins to your donation from a fund (see here https://foundation.freicoin.org/#/donations). We could get some very good publicity if NEM had something similar.
