The title might be a bit overhyped - after all, Bitcoin users won't see this bug until about 250 years from now - but overall, it's good to have a professional report on that Smiley

You're probably right, but hey, gotta bring in those visitors, right?  Wink

Someone posted about it being a known bug, but I'm wondering why it still doesn't seem to be fixed if that's the case.  Are they just procrastinating?

Wow thanks, sorry if I was a dick.  It's much better knowing that only a handful got 5k and most got a couple hundred, but I still feel it should distributed more evenly to more people.

Don't forget to give some away..even if it's just a couple here and a couple there...the more people that download the wallet and it gets distributed to, the better it's chance of increasing in value.  Also Mintpal voting at the moment would be a great help. https://www.mintpal.com/voting

For what it's worth I was a late-comer too and received the smaller giveaway, however, I still gave half of it away to members of a diff alt-coin community in order to spread the word.  Every now and then someone tips me a couple of PMC on this thread too - no idea why, but I'm not complaining!  Smiley

Personally I think the majority of the *current* big holders have probably bought in, not long ago you could buy for 0.00035 on Poloniex and every now and then someone sells a lot and you can still pick up some for lower than the current rate - always worth having a low buy order sitting there, just in case.

Although..............it does feel like things are about to change, if only because the amount of BTC orders have quadrupled recently but the sell orders have remained pretty constant.

Looking forward to seeing what the next few weeks bring.  Grin

We have brains, professionals, hopefuls, and a few detractors hanging along.... things are looking good for PMC...

LETS GET THE GIRLS next....

Read somewhere that very few ladies were into Bitcoin... Lets get them into PMC...

I propose we set up an address to promote "women for preminecoin". Donate to that address and start handing out PMC...

Pretty much gathered you were when you first joined the thread.

It's like Gaming forums, really. The ratio is always pretty much male orientated. A female PMC-holder is an even rarer thing I'm sure.  Wink

I'm stopping my block rewarders for now.
I've been monitoring the market and it does no real good since the fees collected are being sold off by at least one of the larger hashrate miners, always driving the price down a bit since the sell orders follow the movement.
Not the effect I was hoping for, seems to be working in an automated way and I don't want to spend 100-200 PMC a week for that eventually even buying them back.

Yeah, if there are one or two very big miners that are dumping for profit then overall it probably doesn't have the desired effect. Basically we need more miners and more distributed hashpower.

i am mining bigger, but rather than selling coins i have been giving them away. all good though, the more the merrier.

Tbh I don't think we need more hashing power, we need less from us with the ASICs, I stopped mine.
What good is hashrate for PMC in your opinion?
I'm all for getting diff down to make it more attractive for newer people to join in with their older GPU etc, give them a feel, now it's impossible so there won't be much adoption of mining.

I've been applying about an additional 1/2 of whatever the current rate is. For example if the total is 100gh, I add an additional 50. I've more or lees been going with the flow of everybody else, never applying too much or too little. We need to maintain a certain amount of power simply to keep things secure. I think a better approach at this point would be to open a private pool for small miners to contribute and split rewards. We have talked about it in the past, but more or less "back-burner" the idea until now. I will look into opening this service up. Thoughts ?

An ROI calc would also encourage the real value of PMC, if the supply is only 25-50 PMC a day on an active network...

I have never calculated it really. For a change I've been mining from a maintenance standpoint, and not with profit in mind.

But yes, I see your point, and you are probably right.
