Ethereum is absolute monstrus in crypto industry, but due price increase, also fees are becoming to high.
This will have the segnificant consequenses to all projects made on erc, because many of them have all business model in fast & low fee transactions.

So, until ethereum doesn't change / update the core, the future won't be that bright. But with that developer team, I think there is nothing to worry about .

I just get annoyed, so many beleive in projects blindly, and not researching the influence of market changing, pumping and consequenses, which come with that.

Etherium price is huge and it is much more that anyone can believe year ago. I think that one reason why Ethereum is still number two in the crypto world it is that Bitcoin supply is very limited and deflation component will keep the Bitcoin price on the top for along time.

That is partly it but mainly Bitcoin and Ethereum are two different beasts. Bitcoin aims to be a peer to peer payment network whereas Ethereum is based off smart contracts. It is like comparing apples and oranges you really can't do it. However I will say that this year Ethereum has potential to out perform Bitcoin especially because of Casper and the incoming POS system that will make Ethereum powerful.

I think the price of Ether in 2018, maybe even much up. There are many new project based on  Etherium ERC20 and only some on NEO. Plus I think Zero fork will bring some contribution to the development of Etherium. Personally, I haven't translate from the exchange to the exchange/wallets currency to bitcoin, I translate only through the Etherium - much faster and cheaper, although these advantages are all well-known. Another question is whether the Etherium will overtake Bitcoin in the nearest future? Wait and see! Wink

what is your opinion about Jaxx for storing ETH?

Jaxx is pretty good to store ETHs but not all tokens are supported in Jaxx wallet so for holding tokens MEW is the best.

Is it all abut Korean fud now? I think this dip is because of the coming Chinese New year that will be celebrated by all Asian.

ETH is a good buy with good function value as an platform for many of the ICOs. It is a medium to make ICO easier, so the value will hold and increase with the improvement of Ethereum too.

Hello there! Don't forget that today is a great day: you can get Ethereum Zero for free. Just keep your ETH in MyEtherWallet for example. Snapshot will be on 4936270 block.

Seems legit, it said 19th yesterday so i guess it is postponed to 20th. Anyway, there is i think 1:3000 ratio price-wise and 1:1 fork-wise, so for every 1 ETH you have, you recieve something worth 0,3 USD... not the deal I was hoping for... Not even worth moving ETH from the ledger...

if you referring to the info about the hard fork itself , we all know the info is legeit but we also know tht vitailk him self tweeted tht the fork is cancelled or put on hold so all you mentioned above is the info every one knew while back but after his tweet of cancelling the fork or put it on hold there were no more official update or news, its only today someone seems to revive those info but with a different date according to all official channels there is no hard fork and most of the news tht is going around indicating its happening on the 20th (tomorrow) and again i am referring to the dev team announceing the cancellation of the fork or putting a hold on it,any 1 here have any recent statement of official channel tht support the news of the fork go ahead?!

Vitalik's statement on 2018 (inspirational)  Grin Grin

2017 really has been the year where hype in crypto, including financial hype and social hype in general has far exceeded the reality of what existing blockchain systems can offer. There is a lot of attention, and a lot of eager expectation, but as far as reality goes the practical usability of blockchains has in some cases even regressed due to rising transaction fees.

I expect 2018, at least within the Ethereum space that I’m best able to speak about, will be the year of action. It will be the year where all of the ideas around scalability, Plasma, proof-of-stake, and privacy that we have painstakingly worked on and refined over the last four years are finally going to turn into real, live working code that you can play around in a highly mature form in some cases on testnets, and in some key cases even on the public mainnet. Everyone in the Ethereum space recognizes that the world is watching, and we are ready to deliver.  Smiley

Sounds good and I am sure they will stick to their promises. Long live Vitalik! Wink
