Hey guys, I would like to know your opinion. How many ethers would be a nice investment for a future? Nothing huge out of this world, but a nice amount.

500, 1000, 2000?

Thanks for your answers.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

I wanted to get a ether wallet but the software seemed supicious. Isn't there a normal online wallet that does not need to be downloaded?

I've used https://www.myetherwallet.com/ and bittrex as my online wallets. the only thing with myetherwallet is you need to save your Encryption key and the password for it for every wallet you create. Don't lose them or you'll have to contact support and see if they can help you out.

Bittrex might serve you better as on online wallet since it is an exchange as well in case you want to buy/sell and not just used as a deposit/payment wallet. Hope this helps.

Insanely great when I am thinking about what happend around here #ETH.

Dagger looks like the most value influential tehnology anno domini 2016. Can not even image which corporation such as Dell, HP would adopt ETH concept into own internal case work.

Both of those options are less secure than learning how to use the command line and making your own local wallet for cold storage.

You need to send a couple ETH to your "Etherbase" address, then you will be able to create a "wallet"

Pointless voice.

You should ask what would be done to reach 1 ETH = 100$.

So I work as a developer for a global competitor in molecular diagnostics.  Pretty new to Ethereum, but I've been dabbling in crypto for a couple years now (mostly just a hobby).  I read a really interesting article about Ethereum and how smart contract-enabled blockchains in general can potentially change the way we compute by providing a level of inter-connection in data that today's databases simply cannot.  I'm wondering, how might blockchain technology be applied and used in a molecular diagnostic environment?  I've got a couple ideas:

1.) Instruments connected to a blockchain would be enabled to autonomously issue maintenance orders and even order the necessary parts from a vendor.
2.) Diagnostic (patient) results could be shared from one instrument/system to another
3.) Diagnostic (patient) information could be shared from one instrument/system to another
4.) Given an address, patient results/information could actually be stored on the blockchain.  After a test, the patient could be given the address/private keys to access their result information, and would be empowered to use/sell that information through the blockchain.  This kind of information should be viewable only to those who have access or have been granted access to that particular address.
5.) Huh

This is just an open question, especially to those who might work in the industry.  Does anyone have any good ideas how blockchain tech could be make diagnostic medicine better?  Or maybe how blockchain use could benefit such a business (not necessarily the patients who use our tests)?

this isnt a pump...its a realization...an awakening of the crypto masses, all of us have realized btc is not in capable hands anymore. Many smart traders saw this coming months ago(some even yrs ago), if btc fails what should we do...go to fiat or another coin??.
crypto isnt dying ,its evolving   Cool
A coin that does not have the issues btc is having..and if it does have issues in the future "who would fix it"?  people trust VB more than any btc future dev , its that simple

Mr Pumperitis quote of the week Wink

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST
