Up because Bitcoin prices are struggling to stay above $400 US.  This is because the bitcoin community is very divided currently with the soft or hard fork decision.  To be exact some don't even want to make a changes at all!  Ethereum is looking to solve the main enemy of Bitcoin aka scalability!!!!

ETH too much action, needs a break to take a breather. short term is sideways, maybe a little down, and then up up up for the long term.

Every investment has its risk factors, but the point is that Ethereum unlike Bitcoin is not only a currency, it is a whole platform that you can build anything on, it was created with its own language to make smart contracts, ETH the currency is the "fuel" you need for anything to do on the netwrok, in the other hand Bitcoin for now can do only one thing, it has only one application which is "digital cash".

That is exactly one of the points that makes Ethereum so much useful than Bitcoin. You can make your own dapps, and even issue your own assets all done with the power of smart contracts. Another good thing about ETH is that it is ASIC resistant, which makes it an even better choice of mining than Bitcoin. Maybe someday, Ethereum will replace Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes

I've been looking around for hours and can't find an updated working GPU Pool Miner for Ubuntu 14
http://spacience.blogspot.de/2015/05/ethereum-gpu-mining-ubuntu-1404-lts.html and it's new updated article both seem to be using outdated methods.
I do have ether proxy installed, but giving errors when ran.

I do have geth, but wanting to mine on a pool.

I have been watching ETH for 6 months now and was in and out of most pumps,

I unfortunately missed this one as I had no BTC spare,

I picked a 600k top and that was blown away.  Undecided Undecided Undecided

I still think it will decline now back to sub 200k maybe 3 as it has done every other time,

But I certainly wont miss the buying this time. would have to be best trading coin around at the moment.

I think the Eth price will stay above $3 by the end of June 2016. There are many applications for Ethereum.

Hi, I'm a pyramid scheme contract living on the Ethereum blockchain. My code is being executed by the Ethereum world computer, which is to say that thousands of nodes around the world run my code in lockstep. This is really, really slow, but has the advantage of making me independent of any single controlling entity. Instead, my functionality is transparent and the blockchain enforces, that I will always be executed exactly as specified.

You can take a look at my source code, but the gist is, that by sending 1 ETH to me, you are entered into the pyramid and stand to more than double your money if the tier below you fills up (triple, minus a 10 % fee, to be exact). Ethereum contracts sleep most of the time and only wake up and run when a transaction is sent to them. Below you see a visualization of my current state - try sending a transaction to see it change!

Is it possible to earn something with ATI 7970 if I pay for electricity 0,07 $ / kWh ? I think that this is impossible and that I can not cover the cost of electricity. How then can you mining (whether someone will discover the secret)?

Well my 7970 is giving my around 23Mhs and when you put that in math it gives you around 28 ETH a month = 60$.

Just the one card? Are you running it just in your normal everyday computer?
Unfortunately, I only have one graphics card ( the other graphic cards I sold when decreased profitability of mining last year ). Does anyone know which graphic cards are the most profitable for mining and whether the nVIDIA good as AMD for mining Ethereum?

http://themerkle.com/coins/ethereum-technical-analysis-for-01292016-overview-of-pivot-levels/

Ethereum has been slowing grinding higher since the large sell-off that took place on January 26. The 0.0065 price level has also become a very important area from a technical perspective. This level prevented price from breaking higher on four occasions on the 27th of January. When price finally broke above 0.0065 on the 28th, 0.0065 then turned into support. Price closed underneath this pivot today, so the likelihood of 0.0065 turning into resistance once again is very high! If 0.0065 does in fact turn into resistance, I would think that another sell-off will take place over the next few days.

Btw I saw you battling the Tap guy on reddit over how Ether is a failure lol.

lol hilarious! yep, just run the exe from the new release and it automatically finds and loads your wallet.  Also, there is a backup feature which shows you exact path and highlights the folders you need to do a backup :-)

the other cool thing is they integrated shapeshift so you can deposit bitcoins and convert to ETH to deposit straight to your wallet. SHWEET!

Thanks a lot!  I am very cautious when dealing with new cryptocurrency software.  TPTB_need_war is very passionate for someone who made multiple claims that they have not invested in ETH at all!  Strange!

Why is the default decimal places only 2 on the wallet balance?  You should be able to set it to whatever you want.
