Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Ethereum will now start to get a ton more media coverage, which will lead to more price gains. Augur will be huge. Market cap will exceed BTC by the end of the year.

I think it can overtake BTC's market cap too.
And I'm not afraid it will hurt BTC at all.

My prediction:

De prijs van ETH:

1 maart 2016: 7$
1 april 2016: 18$
1 juli 2016: 45$
1 januari 2017: 120$
1 januari 2018: 400$
1 januari 2019: 1200$

wow 1200 per eth Huh o i like that hahaha

haha total wet dream ;p
remember the main reason btc holds value, deflationary tactics.
eth? theres sooooooo many more coins , simple supply and demand will dictate IMO, it will never go that high
now, IF , in the next year we see actual base-level user friendly things that actually cause the gas to be used alot, that could change as that could be the supply control ETH wanted, and needs, but of course, dev work is slow, they expect other companies and users to do most of it (platforms and dapps), and they have already burned like 22 million dollars to where we are so....
time will tell Wink  the price still healthy and rising slowly Wink

Don't forget, Bitcoin has a very low market cap.

I mean, $ 6,500,000,000 is peanuts compared to all the money that's going to flow into blockchain-tech the coming years. And that money is not coming from "pump & dumpers" in this topic but from big companies.

And the winners in this blockchain-tech race will make that market cap look like pocket change. I'm convinced of that.

So 1200$ in 2019 may be a little too far fetched but 400$ for sure isn't.

hmm ya i think i under estimate the amount of money being POURED into blockchain tech ;p
400 yupp , and with btc in constant turmoil between spam attacks and self-righteous btc asshats like marshall long it may become easier to use eth and other alts...
damn, tho, hope it goes down a bit, teach anyone who didnt get in to not make that mistake again
i was gonna buy back in at 0.016, but thought i would wait see if it went down a bit, wake up its peakng 0.02 hee hee shit

lol @ people thinking eth will overtake BTC, I understand your hyped because your holding a few eth but being blinded cheerleaders won't do it.

Eth market is heavily manipulated, people holding over 100k eths alone lol how do you think eth will go past 1B cap while these people are waiting to dump for a massive profit at some point?

It took bitcoin years to even achieve 100$ a coin stop dreaming its too soon to even talk about a stable eth price.

I'm not saying ETH will overtake BTC as a crypto-currency.
Ethereum is playing on another playfield and has the potential to attract a lot of businesses working on / with Ethereum.

Microsoft, RWE, Samsung & Ubuntu, Thomson Reuters, etc is a nice list of companies already exploring what Ethereum can do for their business.

The possibilities on Ethereum are near limitless, you just need creative minds, good entrepreneurship and a bunch of gifted coders to make it happen.

As I said earlier:
BTC = MySpace
ETH = Facebook
Cheers!

more like
BTC = Friendster
ETH = MySpace
Huh 2017 = Facebook

Let me fill your question marks.

BTC = Friendster
ETH = MySpace
IOTA = Facebook

Smiley

My EXACT thoughts on the IOTA = Facebook equivalent.

Really happy to see this kind of developments. I makes it a lot easier to be a holder of ETH coin.
But I am interested how long it iwll last now.

New York Times, Forty Big Banks Test Blockchain-Based Bond Trading System
http://mobile.nytimes.com/reuters/2016/03/02/business/02reuters-banking-blockchain-bonds.html?_r=2
Bitcoin's blockchain was the first, but others have since been built that offer additional features and can be programmed. That means the technology can enable so-called smart contracts: agreements that are automatically executed when pre-determined conditions are met.
For this experiment, the banks tried five different blockchain-technology providers to test trading fixed income: Ethereum, often considered the most advanced and ambitious, Chain, Eris Industries, IBM and Intel.

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain.When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST

Kinda annoyed it says bitcoin is 6 years old... they could've at least gotten that fact straight.
