This reminds me of paycoin XPY scam at this time, all ETH offers is a bus ride for the whales to manipulate the price & rip BTC out of the idiots......I have sold my ETH & have no wishes to return to buying them ever again.....no matter how cheap they may be.

Crypto is just a game for the rich to rip off the poor...anyone involved in ETH should be ashamed of this project its not going to work...as for a valuation of $10 like some have quoted its got no chance at all

My be the DEVS should call Josh Garza may be he could think up some good news to pump the price he was rather good at giving out Bull Shit to pump & then dump his coins

You got me at "This reminds me of paycoin".

How can you compare a BTC clone to ETH ...

I don't follow your logic. The problem with Paycoin ended up being the promised 20$ floor price which gaw didn't deliver and they just let the coin die off. I just cand find any reasons to call ETH a scam. It's a new an interesting tech and it will be interesting to see how it will progress and hom many people will end up using it. There probably are a few whales trying to manipulate markets but there is also a lot of genuine buyers who are interested in the tech.

I can't mine with 7850. It will just not work.

Is that not the same as R7 270x. 270x has 2GB memory and can mine with 10MH/s. I thought they are the same.

It is 1 GB memory, I think the problem lies in that.

Some are 2GB.

I can't believe people are still talking about paycoin. It was one of many blemishes in crypto history.  Cry

Double you money with ETH  doubler contract, already 2735.52 ETH paid.
http://app.etherdoubler.com/

Is this really proven to work or is it just another ponzi scheme? Can anyone provide proof of this? I have seen some posts saying that they have received payment, but showing proof would make it ideal to prevent falling for the scam.  Roll Eyes

of course this is a scam...  don't be dumb.

lol.
if you would have even BOTHERED to look at this you would undertstand
1 --  this is a prime example of the power of ETH with smart contracts
2 ---- looking at the contract myself (https://live.ether.camp/account/fd2487cc0e5dce97f08be1bc8ef1dce8d5988b4d/contract)
it was built using ether's Solidity language (please tell me you know what THAT is)   and is verifiable.
3  --- this is only a BASIC example of what kinda of trust-less hands free smart contracts can be built on ETH

so is it a ponzi? YES . look at the contract
is it a scam?  no.   it's a verifiable hands-free ponzi.
it's the power of ETH.
would i personally have made my own ETH project a ponzi smart contract? nah, but it's sure cool to see Wink
have i used this service? NOPE. dont care for ponzi's. legit ones or not haha

So it's a ponzi but it's not a scam? In the end, does it work? Or is ETH just sent to the address and never returned? Cheesy

SAMSUNG ARTIK’s support for operating systems include Tizen, Nucleus Real Time OS and the open source Fedora Linux stack, enabling developers to select the platform they are most familiar with. The newest member to join the ecosystem is Canonical’s Operating System for the Internet of Things: Snappy Ubuntu Core, providing an ideal OS for secure, resource-constrained smart devices.

Phone Demos
For the first time, the technology community will be able to try the latest Ubuntu powered devices, including the first commercial devices to offer both a full PC and a phone in one single device! Network operators can  see how Ubuntu devices can help them offer a rich branded experience to their customers. Developers and content owners can discuss the various options to bring their product to this growing ecosystem. Reduced complexity and better security also make Ubuntu devices ideal candidates for hybrid phone / PC deployments in enterprise and governments.

So there will be no mining after this? Profitability will probably go down, correct?

Ubuntu to Show Off Community Ports on OnePlus One & Sony Xperia Z1 at MWC 2016

Ubuntu has given us another reason to look forward to the Mobile World Congress 2016. The team at Canonical have announced the arrival of two new Ubuntu phone ports community ports, namely for the Sony Xperia Z1 and the OnePlus One.

If you’re the lucky owner of a Sony Xperia Z1  you will soon be able to download an image to turn it into an Ubuntu phone and PC!

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/02/ubuntu-phone-sony-xperia-oneplus-one
Remember we told you that Canonical plans to make community builds of Ubuntu running on Sony and OnePlus handset a tentpole of its MWC 2016 hub?
Well, today the open source software company has, albeit quietly, made those plans official.

Ok, according to this: http://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/874/what-is-the-set-number-of-ether-in-existence-during-pow-and-then-pos

it's Q4 2016.

Anyhew, a fresh video interview with Vlad Zamfir: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StMBdBfwn8c

Edit: This interview seems to suggest that you'll need much more than 1500 eth to mine PoS. He is suggesting as low as 100 validators.

It did not work on last run, drop again. But maybe this time it will stick.

It may very well drop. If that massive arrangement of walls drop then....poof!!

As long as there is no confirmed direction anything can happen.

Before I saw the bid side I was pretty sure we were heading down to sub 0.005.

Anything inside the recent range (0.009-0.0115) is probably just noise.

Augur backend ready for beta! (self.Augur)

submitted 3 days ago by joeykrug

Just made the last commit to finish the last issue/task remaining for the Augur Ethereum contracts to be ready for beta!

https://github.com/AugurProject/augur-core/milestones is now @ 100%

Post beta work for the backend is ~302 hours estimated as of now. Once the UI is ready for beta then I'll update that sticky with estimates until it's ready for security audits, which are the next milestone after beta.  Smiley

That's cool but it's just a beta

I don't think there will have an impact on the price or maybe in the REP on gatecoin
