thoughts similar to mine from a fellow redditor..
"Todays events are perfectly fine! Yes TheDAO got hacked. ( not ETHEREUM )Yes people maybe lost money. BUT Ethereum itself is in no way broken, the community will learn from the mistakes made in the past and will come back stronger than before, Imagine Ethereum is the operating system and TheDao was a programm. Yes a program was buggy, but it had nothing to do with the operatingsystem/ethereum itself. We had downfalls in Bitcoin aswell, exchanges got hacked and the blockchain forked. In any case Bitcoin came back stronger than before. Ethereum will go the same path."

They only saying that to save face from thousands of listless investors.

106k BTC, $2mill worth of trades on polo alone, wow

This is very good for long term ETH, as people that bought cheap, or simply dont believe in ETH have chosen to sell...but the buyers are people that are well aware of what they are buying after hearing the news about DAO code being compromised.

The weak hands are leaving and we move onto a new stronger buyers.

In all the madness surrounding TheDAO attack remember that the ethereumproject is bigger than one single smart contract running on it.

Here you can see visually what happened in the ethereum transaction network during the attack on The DAO.
There is a chance the thief will be caught  Smiley

i wonder could we get exchanges to check these addresses?

This is a list of accounts are connected to the dark token holders with a distance <= 2.

The price of Ether is falling down and down , I don't know why , as long the attack targeted DAO only , and Ether's developers said that it doesn't affect Ether , so why the price now is 12.5$ , do people lost confidence in Ether or it is just trading manipulate ?

The Bank’s technology teams built and deployed a multinode scalable distributed ledger environment on the
Ethereum protocol. Key features of distributed ledger that were tested in our POC included cons
ensus via a
proof of work mechanism, resilience, transparency, smart contracts and data integrity.

and why did the BoE choose Ethereum? it chose Ethereum because it gives the central bank control. Ethereum has a reset button. old habits die hard. Ethereum is not a decentralised system. it can be controlled and manipulated from the centre.

You guys forgot. The main reason ETH price increased in the past was because of the dao. Now that the dao is shutting down the price goes back down.

it's really hard to believe that a coin with 1 billion and more marketcap can die like that

oh also as for the centralised -decentralise stuff, yes your right.
But there is now a choice
Yes ETH is prob designed for business use
Billion$ businesses and banks that want involved in crypto can call the ETH team direct and recieve advice ( r3 report example )
Who do they call if they want to use btc?
Soon Rootstock will offer ETH style service which many of you are looking forward too, what then does BTC become partially centralised too?
Buy both be happy  Smiley
With all this happening , lessons are being learnt..ETH is far from the finished product.
There will be many updates...Metropolis around sept 2016 is one of the first big ones.

After much thought and analysis of this situation,

I have chosen to back any decision the Ethereum team decides to take, be it a hard fork, soft fork or anything else.

I think many ETH holders that have followed the journey here for past 6months can all agree on one thing...WE HAVE FAITH IN OUR DEV TEAM.

So go on guys do what you need to... Smiley

Fresh fiat and BTC is on the way to support OUR project  Smiley
