I very much want Eth to become independent of the bitcoin price. I read that now on Blockchain Eth there is USDT and EURT. There are also plans to use as payment for the ICO stablecoin DAI. It may take some time for these tools to be backed up by real money and securities. But this is necessary, because now the issue of volatility and provision of real assets is acute.

What is the Max supply?

I don't think there is a set maximum supply limit on ETHereum chain.

sorry if I turn out to be wrong.

The ETH network is so expensive that the Dapps is so difficult to work effectively and force to find alternative solutions that can run Dapps safely and effectively.

ETH is something that is too cheap, I think it's time for it to cost 2000 dollars at least.

Many people understand this. In general, I believe that the ETH network has long surpassed Bitcoin and it's time for them to change roles. At a price, too, there should be changes in favor of the ETH.

Hi everyone. I did my research about Ethereum (based mostly on whitepaper and blog posts) and took notes in the way. Based on my notes, I wrote a short (3-5 min) review. Might be helpful for newcomers who want to understand the Ethereum a bit more.

You're right because when Ethereum will go PoS there will be no limited supply. That's another difference with ethereum classic where the total supply is around 210M coins

yes you are right ETH 'pos' coin set no max supply limit
also you can check it at coin market cap there is no max supply limit
supply will increase with time and with each block that eth chain genrated
miner gets block coin as a reward and this is how eth block chain runs forever

alright so day by day supply increases by Block genration
well eth price is down but it looks like again eth is increasing in value
last time i checked that eth was 0.08BTC and above and now its 0.75BTC
i think its will again cross 0.08BTC
i think i should buy more eth now

In a surprise appearance at the ethereum community conference EthCC in Paris on Friday, ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin presented a scaling solution for Plasma, a system of smart contracts that seeks to increase the computational potential of the world's second-largest blockchain.
Created by Buterin and Bitcoin Lightning Network co-creator Joseph Poon last year, the scaling solution is one of many under development that aims to boost the capacity of ethereum, specifically working by creating a layer of smart contracts that can interact with the main blockchain.

Ethereum is too strong. Most of the world project ICO uses eth, but it is said that SEC has recently been stared at, and SEC is going to crack down on eth Smiley

Ethereum is still one of my favorite crypto projects. Vitalik put the blockchain on a whole new level. I have no doubt that Ethereum can be the number one crypto within the next two years.

Ethereum is my favorite mainly because the transaction speed is super fast. And happy to say we are again slowly entering $1000 (current price $959)

"Super fast" is a very relative term I would say. It's still by far not fast enough to serve the demand that'll be created through blockchain platforms very soon. But we'll get there eventually!  Cool

Finally we have something to hold faith on. I think ETH will keep building momentum throughout 2018. My projection is  2.5 k end of year.

By the way that the StateofDapps keeps building up, and with the upcoming updates for ETH, I also think that it will keep growing throughout 2018. I see it at 3000-4000 by the end of the year

Impossible to know where Ethereum will be at the end of the year as there are so many unpredictable things to be factored in. I am also positive though about the overall outlook.

Am also curious whether Eth will switch to proof of stack as well

The year 2018 is the first year of the application of the block chain to the ground, and many projects will begin to do ground applications on the existing public chains, equivalent to making public tests. So who is the protagonist of the public chain in the future? ETH, EOS or TEZOS?

A lot of people say that 2018 is the application of the block chain to the ground, when it comes to the ground, I first think of the performance of the public chain. This year, the war between the various public chains will be very intense, especially in the middle of the year in June. I judge that the world won't be a contention, and there must be a big fish that eats most of the market share, such as ETH, EOS

Reaching out to the ETH community. I have a substantial amount of ETH locked away in a paper wallet. I would like to sweep not only my ETH off of it, but also my ETC and CLO amounts, too.

What desktop wallet will support this, which is hassle free and easy to use?

TIA.

Beware of all there is a mail scam that leads to a fake page of https://www.coindesk.com in which there is a link to an alleged contract of an Airdrop from Eos that will empty your ethers account and any token you have.

Hi, I am not familiar with at all with token transfers on the ETH platform, so if someone knowledgable could answer my questions, it would be greatly appreciated. A few hours ago I initiated a transfer from my Android Eidoo wallet to a trading account (an exchange). The Tx is showing in Etherscan. When refreshing the Etherscan Tx page, on the "Estimated Confirmation Duration" line, it has been showing different estimated times in minutes. It has shown 12, 9, 8, 4, 2 minutes. Then now it's back to 9 minutes.

In the wallet, when I submitted the transfer, I let the default setting at "Normal" for the "gas" speed. There are 3 "gas speed" settings in the wallet: Slow, Normal and High.

I have initiated the transfer over 14 hours ago, and it is still showing as "Pending" in the wallet and on the Etherscan page. The token transfer is : ZIL (ERC20 compatible)

The Etherscan Tx id can be seen here:

https://etherscan.io/tx/0x72adcbc73ab38f9fbb144a37337083777994fab54c3a6953f6a94dd881ca96ba

Why is it taking so long to get confirmed ?`

In the future, what "gas setting" can I use in the Wallet to speed up the transaction?

If I ever wish to have a transfer done, let's say within 30 minutes, what should I do ?

Also, can someone can give me a rough estimate on how long (in hours) it still going to take for this transaction to be processeed (confirmed) on the network? Thank you all for answering my questions.
