Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc?

I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

Maybe I can do this when the price is going down with alts. There are some alts which is no longer active, where the developers are leaving and there only few left trading the coins this is where I will sell my alts and invest or trade bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best investment because there is huge profit awaits when you hold bitcoin.

If yu are going to sell alts for you to buy bitcoin it is much better to try trading and feel free to lesrn the changes in terms of price on each coin. It eould help you to create a much better strategy on either buying or selling depending on the current price of each crypto you have as an investment.

I have Ethereum, EOS and Ripple coin, should in sell all and buy BTC? This is one of the problems faced by bounty hunters, either to sell all alts and buy btc or to keep the alts and forgo the btc. To me, I would like to sell just a few of my alts and use the amount gotten to buy btc. Btc is at an increasing rate and the market use to spike as days go by.I can decide to make it 80% for btc and 20% for alts.

This strategy could work to others but not to all. Because we all aware that market in cryptocurrency is different in each country. So it is much better to have a strategy that would fit on the existing market on the specific country where we are currently living and enjoy the benefits we could take on the trading we could set upon on the market. If bitcoin is much easier to used it safer to say to invest to bitcoin more but if its the other way around try something else.

There are many strategies in the market which are usable in different times, you can not out one strategy in different time and to avoid this you must monitor the market and should put the relevant strategy. You can sell other products so if you are in profit and should invest in more valuable currency in case of crypto market Bitcoin is the most valuable currency with huge profit.

I think it all depends on the price, if the bitcoin price goes down I will sell my alts, that way I can buy a lot of bitcoin. we need to know that bitcoin is more potential than alts and bitcoin prices may affect other altcoins.

Right from time, the idea of alts for me has been more like a way to increase the number of bitcoin that I am holding except for some few alts though. Let's face it, some alts are simply not just worth holding looking at the fact that they are simply just a pump and dump and most of them always end up getting screwed back to where they picked up from eventually, so why hold such alts for the long term than probably just to buy them at dips and trade them during pumps.

It will always depend of the situations like if my Altcoins are going crap that its look like will not recover specially if the team if that coin Altcoin is in active then better to sell your coins and buy Bitcoin but if my certain Altcoin has a huge potential then better to sell some of my Bitcoin and buy more of that promising Altcoin.

Apparently, as long as there is no longer a team, then there is simply no longer a coin and as long as there is no product backing a coin, then the coin eventually and in the long run is useless.

Some altcoins sure do have a lot of potential and there is no doubt about that, but the thing is that most of them really lose it with the way they get pumped and dumped easily and with the way the market is controlled by bitcoin movement, it is more like most traders just increasing their bitcoin stash for bitcoin.

For me as much as possible better to have both of them bitcoin and alts. Don't sell them all. Much better to have multiple portfolio rather of just having one, to prevent too much lost.

So as to me i think that you seem to be a smart person in your life,  i have read a lot of comments in this thread and everyone is saying that yeah! I approve this strategy and I will do the same as others are doing but it’s better to avail both of the opportunities rather than to choose one of them. Both are growing day by day and going sky high so keeping both would be a better thing.

That is true, spliting whole amount of coins in some alts and some of it in bitcoin should bring you some profit in future, you just need to focus on the most "wanted" and after some time you will find results of that.

Totally not. My best incomes are directly from alts, though this year is extremely tough for alts. I still manage to get profits by holding promising coins.

this is an excellent strategy especially for the weak hands, because btc has the biggest assurance/ confidence therefore you can sleep easy, but for investor and similar minds, ROI on bitcoin isnt so great

This strategy is only valid if you are no longer interested in short term investment of money or even day trading. If you want to continue day trading, then it is better not to sell your altcoins as bitcoin is not a good choice when it comes to that of the day trading. Make this choice only when you are ready to go for long term investment of money as bitcoin is only good when you hold it.

Bitcoin is till most favorite coin in market because have biggest liquidity in market.  But i think, nothing wrong if we hold our altcoin. There is many altcoin have real product and undervalued market cap. Its potential to give us big profits.

Bitcoin is really is a favorite coin of everybody. But there are also altcoin which are potential. Nothing is wrong with selling altcoins to buy bitcoin. But it is also good to invesr some altcoins.

I have seen such sort of comment for the first time. I have been here for so long but I have never ever seen such hand of help spread towards your fellow to seek your help at any time. The thing that happened in the present moment is full of speculation because I keep holding my altcoin and not selling it with Bitcoin. Therefore, because the price of altcoin and bitcoin that still have not increased sharply

I think it may depend on how long you intend to hold or invest your the crypto. But I think it was well said by Bogart, some Altcoin are overvalued but cannot withstand some market crises. So the best thing is to try and know how stable the coin is and figure out your investment strategies.

Whatever strategy may work better then why not? So long as it's good for your business then whatever work well then continue doing it. It's better to try another strategy as well so you will be able to know which best for you.

I think it depends on you, but for me personally i agree to sell altcoin and buy bitcoin, but i will sell altcoin which i do not think has a good future and still holds altcoin like ethereum, because i am sure bitcoin prices will soon rise again in the next few months.

I do not think so. Base from the recent trend of bitcoin, I would rather invest on some promising altcoins than to wait for billion of years just to see bitcoin rise again. I think it is not the time for bitcoin, I have seen many new altcoins there that are successful and gaining a huge growth but some others are not. I still believe in bitcoin but for me, if I want short term investment then I'll go for altcoins and for long term, then I'll choose bitcoin.

I agree with that, because investing in bitcoin is very potent when compared to other cryptocurrencies, this is because the bitcoin price movement is inversely related to the movement of cryptocurrency prices, we can take advantage of the difference, that's in my opinion.
