No, altcoin is the best in terms of getting a high profit. The price is very cheaper unlike btc which is so hard to holf even 1 btc. In altcoin we can hold even a thousand if coins. I just perfer btc if you are a big investor can buy hundreds of btc so if the price goes up you can earn more than x2. But if you unable to hold even 1 btc i must say to go with altcoins

You couldn't assume that altcoins are more profitable than bitcoin because in the 1st place it is cheaper than  bit coin.
However we also have to consider  the risk of investing in altcoin because we are not sure about its profit.

Well, it all depends on the circumstances. I will do that if it is necessary to do. selling alt in a dump state is not a good idea for collecting bitcoins. but, waiting for the right time to sell it, and hold it in bitcoin as a long-term investment.

maybe it depends on which coin now has a very good price and increases, if altcoin price now has good movement then why not, I will sell my bitcoin and move to altcoin and when bitcoin price will increase then I will go back again to bitcoin

I bet it's risky to sell your bitcoin to alts considering how high is the volatility of it. I would suggest just to turn your alts to bitcoin and that will be safe but you should consider first the recent price. Don't be too dumb to choose bitcoin over alts especially if you reall want to sleep safe and sound.

I prefer to buy alt instead of bitcoin because a lot of altcoin can give you an advantage and lots of altcoins are already profitable and make people who buy them become rich because altcoin has a useful and good product.

Selling alts to buy bitcoin is not a good strategy considering that investing in bitcoin is very risky due to massive fluctuation of its market value.

Currently the coins I hold are bitcoin, ethereum and neo, in the slightest I don't think to sell my altcoin to buy bitcoin, I will let it be there because I feel confident their price will grow along with rising bitcoin prices.

I read this article, but I want to see opinions, would you sell all your alts to have only bitcoin now ? I don't think this is recommended

https://cointelegraph.com/news/buy-bitcoin-sell-your-altcoins-says-pioneering-wall-street-blockchain-analyst

I think it's not a good idea to begin with. Putting your eggs at one basket will make the risk even higher. Knowing that Bitcoin already is an established cryptocurrency but it is still not a guarantee that it will give you a decent amount of profit when you want to invest from it. It would be good if you divide your assets to many to lessen the risk of volatility.

I've had 100% of my crypto in alt coins and it has not been good. My thinking being that it might give me the greater chance for return. But after reading some comments I think I really should a large percentage into Bitcoin. It's just tough because you're basically putting back less than what you started with.

If you decide to invest in many BTCs, it is a wise decision, only the stable BTC and the highest income for you, I think when I hold the BTC I feel very secure, without any What worries me when I hold them. Only in a short time have many people become rich thanks to BTC.

This is not a strategy but just way of trading your alts. I dont think that buying btc by selling your altcoins means anything at all. I mean it is simple fact that, if you bought your auctions at some point then you bought them with vision of something! Like getting 40% profits out of this portfolio or at least sell the alts when they will be 2x, 5x or etc. If you buy altcoins with that strategy then why even care to sell them for the bitcoin? Always keep both thing separate and do not mix them for any investment. If you see bitcoin has dropped and want to make some investment then do it with additional fiat but not the alts. This wont disturb your investment at all.

I disagree with that. It is good to buy bitcoin and sell altcoin. But you must choose the best altcoin like ethereum, xlm, waves. Because is more advantages to trade altcoin than bitcoin except you have big capital.

Bitcoin is till most favorite coin in market because have biggest liquidity in market.  But i think, nothing wrong if we hold our altcoin. There is many altcoin have real product and undervalued market cap. Its potential to give us big profits.
Bitcoin is no doubt one of the best crypto coin amongst all other crypto coins but it is only profitable for you when you decide to go for long term holding of the bitcoin and that it won’t help you in having any significant profit at time when you will choose bitcoin for day trading. You need to look at the number of the altcoins which you are having and that other than this, your own planning.

I do not think so. Base from the recent trend of bitcoin, I would rather invest on some promising altcoins than to wait for billion of years just to see bitcoin rise again. I think it is not the time for bitcoin, I have seen many new altcoins there that are successful and gaining a huge growth but some others are not. I still believe in bitcoin but for me, if I want short term investment then I'll go for altcoins and for long term, then I'll choose bitcoin.
Yes, this is relevant but you have to make sure that your buying and selling times are according to the market conditions or not? If you buying and selling times are taking place in favorable situations then you can surely upgrade to Bitcoin and if not then you will not upgrade. Now sell Altcoin in a high market on a high rate so that you may be able to invest in Bitcoin in a low market.

I do not think that bitcoin has more potential than other coins, because some altoins have a good idea and a promising future, they can get profit faster than from the growth of bitcoins.

I agree with you , it all depends on the altcoins that you're holding, also the price on the market.
