Right now, there are too many alts in existence. In the long-term future, only a small number of these alts are going to survive. So it is not a bad idea to convert some of them to BTC (or even ETH). But at the same time, you should hold on to the promising altcoins such as Cardano and NEO.

I do believe in this strategy. Most of the time, as i received my alts from some services, i sell it in reasonable price. In that way, i can have my own bitcoin. I am not saying that alts are not worthy of keeping but, bitcoin is more secure form of investments. I better keep my bitcoin increase and will keep some of the alts. As you can see most of the alts is a pump and dump so i guess you should sell your alts and leave some for future use (if ever its will be a successful one)

Sells alts and buy btc strategy is a good strategy for some market situations. Like when the BTC dominance was around 30-40% and bitcoin was starting to move, thats when the strategy could be used. Because when bitcoin is moving , altcoin will bleeding and you can multiply your capital if you play with that pattern. |

It depends on what altcoins that you have. If your altcoins can be considered as shitcoins, it is better if you will trade it to become bitcoins. You will only lose your money if you will continue to hold shitcoins. |

It depends on you.If you think bitcoin will give you more benefits and you don't have extra money to buy bitcoin then sell your alts.One more suggestion,study the movement of alts specially ethereum because it shows good movement now.
Yes, it is always depend the movement of coins because bitcoin and altcoins have different advantage and performance base in seasons. I think it is bettet to have bitcoin and also altcoins as an asset, because they're both a good source of profit. |

i dont want to sell my altcoins because i know that it will become more worth it than to convert in into bitcoins last year ill get a lot of money by holding this altcoins so i hope thid year my holding will become more worth it hopefully. |

Well that strategy is also good because buying bitcoin now is very advisable because the value of bitcoin is still cheap and affordable on the market but if we are holding a good altcoins like ethereum and eos i dont think it is advisable to sell it, to just buy btc. |

because bitcoin is the first blockchain coin created. but some project altcoins have more potential growth.

I do not consider that kind of strategy because if you know that your altcoin have the potential to become big in the long run, why would you sell it for bitcoin? Selling altcoin to buy bitcoin may depends on the situation.

It was a good idea also to sell our altcoins and buy bitcoins and holding it.
But for me ill sell my bitcoins to buy altcoins because they have so many altcoins are have potential to increase the prices.

I do not agree with this strategy. Agreed Holding bitcoin is profitable but there are altcoins that will bring in much profit many times over within the period of HODL .

I'm still using this strategy. I believe it is safer and better to transfer all my profits to Bitcoins or Ethereum. Of course, I still move to USDT as a backup plan. Although Bitcoin price is not good, I still believe in its future as well as my decision.

buying btc is good but selling alts this time is not that good because the price is also low you can sell it but with a low value so it is better to hold it and buy bitcoin form your fiat but if you got nothing you can sell your alts because the chance you can earn with a good value is on the side of bitcoin. |

buying btc is good but selling alts this time is not that good because the price is also low you can sell it but with a low value so it is better to hold it and buy bitcoin form your fiat but if you got nothing you can sell your alts because the chance you can earn with a good value is on the side of bitcoin. Yeah at a time like this, it's not really a good idea. Unless bitcoin starts to make another december 2017 run then i'd gladly sell most of my alts even at a loss. But ifnit's like this, there's a chance you'll even get more from your alt holdings than btc |

Yeah some altscoins have potentials and can be able to give us huge profit in the near future so for me it's better to have both and wait for it to give us good profit soon. |
