thanks for staying on top of this snailbrain... downloaded your update and it looks like it might eventually get there... its currently on 9598 and stull syncing. Never got above 3000 yesterday. Looks like I will get to keep 65 of my 1k mined from getting on the wrong fork. So that is good. Hopefully I will get some time to play the game today.

So after the new wallet is synced, and balance is 0, it means it got on a fork somewhere?

and why does transactions count remain in overview, but not in transactions list? Alls i got from snail was 'be patient'. Well it's synced now and the only that remains is payment for creation of hunter.

did you delete everything except wallet.dat and conf when you updated?

I made backup on usb of old wallet.dat, deleted everything, installed 10001, created new conf manually and let it sync. however it looks like everytime i run the wallet a new wallet.dat is created. should I try reinstalling again?

Well I've been mining since 12 GMT today, over 2 and a half hours now, and not found a single block yet Sad
Last night, with all the problems was finding a block every few minutes, shame that wasn't "real".

Can't wait for the givaway coins so I can get started on the actual game itself, as I think mining is going to be real slow way to get coins for me Sad

@ Snailbrain - You say its slow on wallet / freezes etc, because we're on windows and not using an SSD HDD, are there plans to change this in some way? i.e. a way to turn off the game when not playing?

You should have know from previous testrun (yes, I was participating in it) that faucet is a must. Forcing people to either register on
obscure forum (like we don't have way too many ID / PWD combinations already) or mine and then wait 120 blocks or beg around here
to just start playing the game is wrong way to launch a game cryptocoin.

Difficulty retargets up ridicule slow, what about retargeting down? Does HUC has some tricks like Bitcoin Testnet or we will again run
into game not moving once miners realise putting too much hashpower in this coin is not worth it and then jump off the train, leaving
everyone else to "combat" insane high difficulty?

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

you should have "stuck with it" like i said to everyone else..
those that gave up because they could't make any coins in the first few hours - is tough -

there are no problems i can see now, except high disk activity on windows.. this unfortunately cannot be avoided atm.. you just need to be patient for the chain to download..

when it was screwed up at the start.. no one had mined any coins on the map

Uhhh, I have "stuck with it" as you said, because I truly like the concept.

If the coin is working fine for you on a linux machine with an SSD, that's fine. But I can't imagine i'm alone here with my issues. As i've stated before, i've been trying on 3 different machines just to get it running stable. These are not crap PCs, they are very good and i've not had an issues like this. If I didn't want to help, I wouldn't be posting results.

But your answers remind me of working with application developers, when someone says there's an issue, they just reply "well, it works for me".

I have redownloaded, resynched each time you've posted a solution i've done it. The issues still remain, if you don't think they are legit, fine, good luck, but i'll keep trying and posting.

Running again, the log file is just getting more huge. +10MB after running for a very brief amount of time (maybe an hour). Looking through the debug log, I think there's way too much stuff (unimportant) being logged, i.e. the IRC stuff, etc.

The latest issue this morning (in addition to what I previously posted), is now no miners even find the server. No idea what causes something like that. I'm doing another resynch though. It was working a couple hours ago, nothing on my machine (settings, etc.) changed, now miners don't see it.

Part of the success is ease-of-use and market adoption. If Windows users are having these issues i would think it's a big part of your potential user base.

I'm not some raging dude (if i come across like that, sorry) and i'm not whining about losing coins because i'm just continuing mining while trying to get this thing to run.

But with the CPU/Drive/Log issue, it's just going to get worse for new users if it continues along this path. Wallet sync's alone will probably freak people out as well as the CPU/Drive issues as far as scaring them as to something malicious going on.

Issues with freezing and slow response are due to blocks being mined every few seconds instead of once per minute. Just imagine
amount of data that is being moved around right now ... even SSD does not help much. Difficulty retargets way too slow, upwards
or downwards, and even though a problem was mentioned a lot during the previous testrun it was obviously ignored by developer.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

everything is working if you have updated

and has been for many hours

except for a wallet.dat which apparently is 'corrupted' first time that ever happened...

825 coins gone, but everything is working...?

apparently not eh.
