If it works: thanks. Will try tomorrow. Anyone tested it?

Now black sheep can enter the miner and do stuff  Grin
I myself will try to find the miner configuration and just look if you can mess around a bit. Maybe cronjob for autoreboot for the guys who have the problem that after a given time, the miner hangs. Hmm.. what else? If there are some more professional people, maybe they can tune it even more.

From an old innosilicon thread:

sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool:3333 -u worker.1 -p x --A1Pll1 1200 --A1Pll2 1200 --A1Pll3 1200 --A1Pll4 1200 --A1Pll5 1200 --A1Pll6 1200 --diff 8 --cs 8 --stmcu 0 --hwreset --no-submit-stale

havent tried it yet dont know if it works

so i tried ./cgminer --A1Fanspd 20   and it turned my fan speed to 100%, disconnected from the pool....i think you need to run cgminer with the entire commandset in order for proper operation.

Reading through the miner log file, the A9 reads the config file in /etc/cgminer.conf  to load all the config settings

The A9 has 3 cards, it seems default PLL clock speed is set to 1250MHz and Voltage is set to 166 (not sure what that actually is in volts, maybe 1.66V?) .

Anyways, we need to edit that .conf file to contain the parameters we want instead...currently it looks like this for me:

Code:
{
    "pools": [
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp://....",
            "user": "....",
            "pass": "x"
        }
    ],
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-port": "4028",
    "api-allow": "R:0/0,W:127.0.0.1",
    "T1performance": true
}

I think we can do this edit the file to do say something like this to increase PLL to 1300, and Voltage to 175...(WARNING: i dont know if these work or what happens when you do this):

Code:
{
    "pools": [
        {
            "url": "stratum+tcp://....",
            "user": "....",
            "pass": "x"
        }
    ],
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-port": "4028",
    "api-allow": "R:0/0,W:127.0.0.1",
    "noauto": true,
    "T1Pll": 1300,
    "T2Pll": 1300,
    "T3Pll": 1300,
    "T1VID": 175,
    "T2VID": 175,
    "T3VID": 175,
    "A1Fanspd": 30,
    "A1Fanmode": 1
}
Not sure if Fanmode needs to be 0 or 1 here...

Also, you can edit the api-allow ip address to include your local host if you want to use Awesome Miner software now!

anyone want to try and report back?

EDIT:: seems this is a read only file system??  i guess we will need to run the cgminer command directly?

Someone try this command:

Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://pool:3333 -u worker.1 -p x --T1Pll1 1300 --T1Pll2 1300 --T1Pll3 1300 --noauto

replace with your pool worker name. password.

This should set PLL clocks to 1300mhz

Warning: I tried this and I dont think it worked...my miner ended up resetting back to defaults, including IP address and default mining pool.  BE CAREFUL!

Ok, the only 1 thing is working at this moment -> API access for Awesome miner.

"api-allow": "W:x.x.x.x/24,W:127.0.0.1",

Can't control fan... would like to starting from here... o cool down miner, do not really like temp 69-71C

"A1Fanmode": 0

After 10minutes @ 30% my temps are only 55C!

    "T3Pll": 1300

and the miner log still showed it didnt go past 1250 PLL:
Jul 22 18:25:56 InnoMiner mcompat_lib[1316]: chain 2 set PLL Lv.355 success
Jul 22 18:25:57 InnoMiner mcompat_lib[1316]: chain 0 pll 1250 finished

Jul 22 18:25:57 InnoMiner mcompat_lib[1316]: #####Write t/v sensor Value Success!

Try this:

Code:
    "noauto": true,
    "T1Pll1": "1300",
    "T1Pll2": "1300",
    "T1Pll3": "1300",
    "T1VID1": "170",
    "T1VID2": "170",
    "T1VID3": "170",
    "A1Fanspd": "50",
    "A1Fanmode": "0"

Fan is running at a constant 50% and the PLL seems to be at 1300.

Ok, the only 1 thing is working at this moment -> API access for Awesome miner.

"api-allow": "W:x.x.x.x/24,W:127.0.0.1",

Can't control fan... would like to starting from here... o cool down miner, do not really like temp 69-71C

Fan speed control:

Code:
"A1Fanspd": 30,
"A1Fanmode": 0

After 10minutes @ 30% my temps are only 55C!

I take it back, it looks like the firmware just adjusted my fan speed down to 25% again automatically after about 10mins Sad
