We are implementing a new algorithm for POW which is called the Kimoto Gravity Well, which will protect the difficulty from getting "stuck" after one of these events.  It will be ready in the next 48 hours.

Are you going to seek coingen's service again?

Doing good is good

Yeah thats right, but lying is bad.

I invite you to download the code from coingen's karmacoin (the screenshot you've shown a dozen times on the forum) and compare it to the real Karmacoin code located at github.  You will find thousands of differences.  In fact, to make it easier for you to see the differences I ran a unified diff for you.  You can do this yourself with the diff -ru [folder1] [folder2] command.

The diff file is available here: http://karmacoin.info/diff_karmacoin.txt (it is 20,000+ lines)

We are making a community here to promote being good, to provide a place to give props to people who have done good.

I am not going to spend time responding to this again.

Please stop

I will have a look at the diff file asap. Appreciate your response

I suggest you not to act like CEO of a company by giving brief statements once a while - rather be "interactive" with the community.

haha i just asked for facts too..

either way. lets keep the name assaulting to minimum. i invested in this coin. i like it . such a great name Karma

Dude, you are an ass if you have been saying what you have been saying without even verifying what you are stating is factual.

Karma coin is going up on cryptorush... but still able to buy cheaper at Mintpal. Smiley

I have a bunch, just trying to help out.

cryptorush..? you meant coinmarket.io, I think.

if you need support there (coinmarket), don't expect a smile. coinmarket admin made it very clear that we are lucky to have him, not he is lucky to have us trading there.

the relationship is symbiotic, and that man was a prick to me when he lost 22mil of my karmacoin and accused me of scamming his exchange. never said sorry when he realized he was wrong, just continued to bastardize people who stuck up for me. Sad bad karma for him.

all up on the coinmarket support thread pages 106-110 for everyone to see.

edit; in the end, even though he was wrong, since i told him i was pissed and insulted that i was done @ cm, he disabled my ability to trade just for saying that, and told me to take my coin and leave.. disgusting and unprofessional as hell.

i made a grandiose farewell paragraph, and fucked off from coinmarket forever. too bad, i have trade history there, it was a good exchange until tonight.

read those pages, i traded on cm as well and by the way we should be thanking them is really worrisome. if that's how the admins there think, i'll stay away from them.

RE: Mintpal

<@MintPal-Jason> McAltcoin Thanks. We're aware of the issue & have decided to take the relative quiet period in the market as a maintenance period. There's a few fixes that we want to push out that simply can't be done with the site live. Apologies for the short notice.

Question - why would a mining pool have orphaned credit (payout) transactions?

Just checking my pool - over the last 3 days I have about 50k karm worth of credits that were 'orphaned'.

Why would payouts be orphaned, how can I get them back?

Google orphaned block crypto
I understand what an orphan block is, in that someone has solved it before you thanks to network speed etc.
I'm sure I have plenty of invalid shares and block solves just like everyone else.

But if we're mining in a pool, aren't our payouts based on successful shares?

So why would a payout transaction be orphaned? That's what I'm seeing.

Some pools pay out orphans based on their pay out settings.  Many make it up in fees, to keep things consistent for their members.

People will be back after the diff change again and then they will have the gravity well installed so we should be good.

Yeah I know, But with the people leaving that means the nethash goes down so the longer we will be stuck at this difficulty.

Edit: Can some one explain what gravity well is? I searched it and only got coins that use it but not an explanation of what it is.
