What a week I couldn't get any point!!!I will revisit my expectations today for West Ham and Chelsea as maybe I can get the correct result for both matches

@Trofo and LFC yeah I was watching the game (my kid, unfortunately is United hoho) and I was actually totally surprised they didn't give the penalty. Come to think of it, it's been a while since they got their requisite VARnalty. What's up with that?

I thought this was going to be a good week for everyone but I see the top scorers are just 7.5 points so far.I strangely see myself competing so far for the yellow cap together with many other people which are at 7 or 6.5 points.I am putting normal predictions for today a West Ham and Chelsea wins,I think we had enough of surprises for this round already.

There is no doubt that Alisson is to blame for that goal. Kaban did not have to do a complicated reaction and would easily eliminate the danger, but Alisson reacted in a panic ^{at least that's what it looked like}. He then had to tell the player in time that he was there and leave the reaction to him, at the end, he is more experienced in such a situation.

I know =p I just blamed Kabak because well, he did not know his keeper would do that but yeah of course, Alisson should have shouted for it either way, I know. I just. Am being silly.

Rofl.  Yup same here.  I did have a couple of nice weekends tho that got me to top 20.  Other than that, nadda.  And I haven’t really been interested in reading all the football news and checking all the stats this season.  It’s been all UFC for me lately.  You guys should get into it.    It’s fun.

I managed to move from like 25th up to 8th and top it all off with a yellow cap - ever since I've been sinking like a rock.. Can't catch a break lol.

Another VAR debacle in Premier League. They were just checking a soft penalty on Maguire and lost few minutes on it when it was clear he was half a meter in offside. Is it possible that nobody sees that or would they check that only in case the ref decided to award penalty for foul on him. Stupid however you put it.

Bamford got sandwiched by two Arsenal player simultaneously and they didn't give that either. I don't understand when the lightest of touches gets a penalty or a player diving anticipating the challenge yet getting slammed by two players doesn't even get checked. VAR did overturn a penalty correctly earlier in the game though.

Well I think it's been a pretty bad round for most of us with a lot of unexpected results. I'm only on four points so far. I'm actually really surprised people got more than ten points (of which there are currently seven) given there were so many upsets. Looks like we might get another unique round winner as well as only two users out of the current top ten have won it previously (assuming I didn't miss something). The current top 3 haven't won it though so it looks like one of them could take it if they get the last two games right. Not games that are too easy to predicts though. City should win especially after Everton lost to Fulham last week but Fulham are also playing Burnley. I would have backed the home win but not so sure now.

Me too, in all honesty I’ve sucked all season. Disappointed in my performance but I still really enjoy it & it’s something to do on a weekend isn’t it, check for the results etc.

Just read a great funny piece in local news, probably there was something similar in english papers as well since ours are usually just translating.

West Ham did not have a single penalty this season until they bought Lingard and he got them one. You can pull the player from United but you can't pull United out of the player  That coaching just comes trough.

Damn..  I got a new strategy.  Whenever I’m thinking of picking 2 - 1 or 3 - 1 for a match up, I’m gonna make the pick 1 - 2 or 1 - 3.    I have been doing bad all season long..  So meaning I should’ve started fading myself a couple or so months ago!  Lolol.

Edit:  Just checked the table.  West Ham is fifth.  All hail the genius Moyes!

Thanks! It was a close one between us, just 1 more correct prediction which resulted in first spot for me. And congrats for ranking up to Top 20. I am still hovering in 30-40 range.

I haven't been following the thread actively, can you tell me what consensus we have reached for deciding the winner for the max points in a round? Are we going to adjust rounds with more matches to 10? For example, will my score be considered as 19/1.2 = 15.83?

You're the second person. Stephencurry333 was the first to get a double. I'm sure we'll start to see more people winning multiples but given the large size of the pool this year it does make it pretty difficult.

It doesn't really matter because there are no prizes this year for the highest overal round. Given that we get a $50 free bet every week I didn't think it was needed, but arallmuus is just keeping track of who has won them for fun I guess but he makes a note of the number of games in that round. West Ham have been around for a while, I've missed numerous points by pick their opponents this season, and that's solely because it took me quite a while to notice their performance.


Quite a number of tough matches to pick from, Tottenham vs West Ham and  Arsenal vs Man City are at the pick of it, Man City have got a champions league next week while holding a significant 10 points lead at the top of the table.
