The top three are starting to open the gap with the others slowly. The competition level for the 1st place in the pool is still very high. After my horrible performance last year it makes me happy to see myself in upper places. I hope I don't fall back to much lower places.

Even though the teams parting their ways with their technical directors usually get better results in their first times I think Liverpool will beat Chelsea away today. If Liverpool don't manage to win this match as well then their chance for top 4 ends completely.

I also predicted Liverpool to win, but in fact it turned out to be the 6th draw in a row ... which is what I was thinking when I made the choice. Now Liverpool's chances for the top 4 are illusory (probably in the region of 15 percent - tomorrow we will find out for sure from bookmakers' quotes, most likely they will be in the range of 6.0-7.0) and this disastrous season will leave an obvious mark on the next one.
As for the pool, I think the closer to the finish line the randomness of the results will increase - some teams will lose motivation, and some will run out of strength (the first contender is United). Perhaps this will have an impact on the distribution of positions.

WELL....... i have TWO things to say.

First of all, im again truly dissapointed with me and with a lot of yours, why?. Because when i was watching the game in my local ESPN Argentina, the commentarist say, "this its gonna be the six draw in a row between this two teams, and the fourth 0-0 in this matches".

How i dont know that awesome clue and fact!!??. But well im really surprised also for that, because they are two really scoring teams.

The second thing its, this draw its by far the worst case scenario for the two teams,  but clearly more for Chelsea, because they were in home and they need more the points.


Another comment, VAR in PL its working really strange, the other day when Podence spit to another player but he missed the spit, they dont show him a red card..... its not only the fact its about your intentions.

And today in Villa game was pited by the referee a penalty for Leicester in the last minute, but in the replay it was CRISTAL CLEAR that was not a penalty and also a fault by Leicester player,  but they call the referee and make him review the fault..... YES obvisuly the ref say its not penalty after seeing in the VAR the replay, but come on.... it was not necesary.

Well yeah Im abit dissapointed with myself because I wanted those kits really bad but yeah its hard to win the golden cap when majority of the pool are that good in predicting scores

It was on the h2h statistics though but I tried to be cheeky by putting down 1-2 for Liverpool because Liverpool is way better than Chelsea even without Potter in it but it ended up with a draw again sucks


Anyway the winner of this round yellow cap is still undecided yet, its pretty tight for the top 3. Normally we would have someone leading by atleast 3-5 points difference

Well, English media and LiVARpool fans will not report this but the biggest managerial upgrade I've seen in a while was Slippy Gerrard to Umery at Aston Villa. Umery took over relegation-threatened Aston Villa (16th) and transformed them into Europa league prospects (7th) in a matter of months. However, I was led to believe that Potter, who spent $500 million, would need 10 years to move Chelsea from 10th to 9th place, haha no thank you.

Refs are also passionate about the sport; they were all fans before becoming professional refs; the records are there; you can't take that away from them; they are not allowed to show their passion publicly, but they all have favorite teams; it is now the FA's responsibility to ensure that sush refs do not participate/officiate games related to their clubs.

We've had similar situations in the past, the Sir Alex Ferguson and childhood Manchester United supporter ref (Howard Webb), who was a driving force behind the club's past success. He was a key figure in all of Manutd's big games. He was one of the most corrupt and fearless refs I'd ever seen.

They don't have an account here but yeah, obvious Leeds fan. I was one goal away from getting the Leeds correct score but the only other I got points from was the Chelsea/Liverpool stalemate.

Is it just me or has round 29 been very high scoring? Lots of people got higher than average points totals. I’m down in lowly 20th with 14 points.

Yeah noticed this too, probably due to the extra prizes on top for the winner of the golden cap this round. well I tried my best this round but I just couldnt seems to win even with that extra motivation from the kits prizes. I got only 14 points in total out of 16 games played, pretty sucks and thats not even 1 point per game

I was able to get 21.5 points and I am so excited about it. Basically my excitements are in the exact scores.

From the last few months, both in this pool and in the CL pool I can not remember when I was able to get an exact score. It was like whatever I do, the final score will be either close or wrong. The failure ratio is higher in this pool than CL though. But in both pools I was not able to get a single exact score, how the F it's was even possible?

But when I did, It blew my mind. Three exact scores in a row! Nothing can be sweeter than this when you are in a competitive pool. I was sailing against the wind and now I feel good days are ahead and soon!

By the way, I did not mean not to congratulate DireWolfM14. Congratulations brother 😘

I got 15.5 out of a possible 43 points and lost 5 places on the table. I'm not sure if I was too bad or if everyone got better because there weren't many disappointing results. These aren't helping me break into the top 10; I was comfortably seated in 15th place before dropping to 20th. Top 10 is the goal, and I'm only 10 points away from it right now; I just need to do better in the remaining 9 rounds; it's been a great pool so far, and it'll only get better from here.


Congratulations, direwolf, on a fantastic run of games. I thought bullrun2020 would take the cap after picking up most of the points in the first round of games. I guess you support Liverpool, but that black piece of art would suit you better. lol.

I awoke to the news of Lampard x Chelsea 2.0! I saw him in the stands during the game against Liverpool and had no idea something was attached to it, but I'm not bothered because it's an interim position and I think it's the best choice for the short term while we look for good options in the summer.

And yes, Saltor did, at least for the first time this season, the fans were satisfied with our line-up, players returning to their original positions it was a perfect sight to see Enzo, Kovasic, and Kante walking past the Loserpool midfield like no one was watching.

There is no midfield as shitty as that of Liverpool for this season, their midfield have been literally inexistence for a long while now, so If I were Chelsea  I would take our performance against Liverpool like a pinch of salt to be honest, but the return of Kante couldn't have come at a better time, I hope he gets back to his peak performance very quick because the team needs all the help they can get, being down to 11th position with 9 games to go, sure isn't a great way for the season to end for Chelsea to be in by any means.

Yeah, the season is over, and there is nothing positive to take away from it; we just need to focus on pre-season, get the new coach in as soon as possible, and prepare for the next season, which could be another advantageous season because there will be no cup distractions, only league games.. 2016/2017 season is that you?

I think this was the best yellow cap of the last two seasons if I am not mistaken but I am not that sure,nevertheless big congrats to the winner as I am sure he must have climbed a good number of positions with such a performance and it is also a good feeling for the upcoming rounds for direwolf.

I am not doing that bad either but I could have done better overall,yet I am happy to still be in a winning position so far when only 10 weeks or less remain for the Premier League,maybe it will be the first time I will end in a prize spot while in previous seasons I have always been near them,just a couple of points away.

I am doing so bad this PL season and I thought this match day would be my time to shine, haha. However, after been up with 2-3 points already, I somehow managed to lose the yellow cap anyway. Arghhh.

However, I made a pretty big jump in the overall pool standings. I'm currently in my highest ranking this season at #15 with 262.5 points. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that won't last, my picks are far too inconsistent this season.

Thank you all for the congrats, this my first yellow cap ever!  What a run, honestly I was a bit intimidated by the 16 matches from this past week.  Definitely a pleasant surprise to have come up on top.  I climbed 7 spots on the table, which puts at #32.  My goal is to be in the top 25 by the end of the season, but we only have 9 weeks left, I think.

Congrats to the others who made a good run this past week, quite an exciting week it was.
