Well the new year games have been pretty much full of surprises if we take into consideration what happened until now,Manchester City at 1.14 odd not winning,Newcastle at 1.45 not winning and tonight Tottenham at a similar odd of that of Newcastle not only not winning but losing the game 0-2 against a team which lately has been not in so good form,it just shows that for me the Tottenham players maybe have celebrated a bit to much during yesterday night festivities  .

I think Liverpool will win against Brentford but also the draw no bet is something that can happen as I would not be surprised because Brentford form is not that bad and after winning against West Ham at West Ham will only be with a high moral to fight against Liverpool at home.

It's definitely true that in soccer, anything can happen and upsets do occur. It's always important to consider the form of the teams and their recent performances, but it's also important to remember that soccer is a sport with many variables and unexpected events can happen. It's amazing to see several people in the pool foresaw Tottenham losing to visitors Aston Villa convincingly in a match I thought Spurs will be desperate to get back to winning ways after dropping points just last week...and now today not even a point, I guess a top four finish is getting out of sight.

I guess this is evidence that the festive season affects most of the favorites as most players could be in party mode and they aren't being supervised but no more parties anymore, time to work now.

It still ended with another surprise now,a totally unexpected draw of Chelsea against what I call in my personal opinion the weakest team of this Premier League,Nottingham Forest.Chelsea started a great game and they even scored but the fact that they failed to manage this advantage or to try and score more it emphasizes my idea that most likely even Chelsea players has been doing much more festivities than they should when they knew that on 1 January they had a game to play and a really important one after seeing that Newcastle failed in yesterday game with Leeds.

Worse, couldn't even give you BTTS huh Trofo. And old boy Aurier actually leveled for Nottingham Forest. How the world goes round.

Well atleast you've gotten yourself one though. You guys both have the exact same points on everything. Lol I remembered that I have told you that its better to always go with 2-0 2-1 if you are unsure about it because I just think thats its easier to get close points from this type of score ( someone on the pool still does it frequently )

I was sure Villa was going to score but as somebody else pointed out I was also sure Spurs will score at least one and probably turn it around. As it happens it would not have been enough anyway since I had Chelsea ML on the same ticket. So I opened the new year with a loss, not ideal but sort of expected. I am waiting for snooker to resume in 2 days time to hopefully get my first winnings.

And of course we have free money with both to score in Brentford vs. Liverpool. There is no way this Liverpool stops Toney if he is fit but he could be injured so I am waiting for the line ups.

I dont know why Chelsea cant make an improvement in their play. They still playing like shit after the change of the manager. Today in the second half against Nothingham were really pathetic they cant cross the midfield against a team in relegation zone, and if the players of Forest have more accuracy surely their can lose that game.

I am going with a big bet on Brentford not losing today. The odds are great, Liverpool was horrible against Leicester, while Brentford played a really good game against West Ham.

I even placed a bet on Brentford winning the game, the odds are @ 5.7. Looks like value, and if I lose I'll still be happy because Liverpool won

@cryptofrka yeah the way we play, if I didn't have feelings for Liverpool I'd be very excited about Brentford.

But because of my bias, I feel I got pretty decent odds on Liverpool if I say so myself at about 16/10. Actually can still get it 17/10 at Sportsbet with boost but there is a pretty good tip for Liverpool and almost any favourite in EPL this season: wait for them to concede first.

Toney probably not as badly injured as he appeared but our away form is horrible, hence the odds. But Numez could have had a hattrick in the last three... Maybe floodgates finally open?

In fact, handicaps for the team conceding first seems the way to go. Trofo's BTTS also solid but I would only use it on Betbuilder.

Lol.  I still watch football a bit and read about what's going on from time to time but most of my time spent on anything related to sports betting has been in MMA, mostly the UFC.  No real reason why I like it more these days...  Prolly just a phase and I'll be back spending most of my time in football soon. 

I noticed the change when the covid lock downs started some time in 2020.  There was nothing on except the UFC.  So I got way deeper into it than I already did.

Anyway I got a parlay...  Arsenal ML, Aston Villa ML and Fulham +.5 at 6.07.  Good?

Now it looks like top 4 will be harder for us. Good thing is still there are many matches to go but if we do not fix our problems then we are going to lose more matches. Nothing is going right with us at the moment.

I think that Liverpool was caught off guard with those early goals and had a lot of difficulties to recover after,they pressured a lot,they even scored in the beginning of the second half and at that moment I thought now Liverpool is going to crush them and turn the result to their favor,they had many opportunities but they lacked a true goal scorer,they had 73% ball possession and also they had the most chances,it was only thanks to Brentford goalkeeper that they could not equalize or even win this game.

In the pool I had it 1-2 for Liverpool as the most common result I was expecting but in this round in total I just made 4.5 points and this game started the new round with 0 points for me,I am down several positions from a round ago.

May be Nunez needs to work harder, hardly missing one or two is fine but when it becomes a habit then you are sending negative spirit to rest of the team. Team mates will lose confidence and they will hesitate to deliver the ball. The whole Liverpool unit needs to improve if they don't want to lose more matches.

I would in my personal opinion never call a magnificent performance for a team who had ball possession only 27% during all the game,yes they made the actions and they scored the goals but other than that they didn't do anything more,they were very pragmatic and I also congratulate them on this.

However I think that Liverpool deserved more and of course I don't blame Nunez because he needs more time to harmonize with the team,Liverpool lost a golden opportunity to catch up with other teams like Newcastle and Chelsea who lost but they also lost themselves.This season I think for them is already over in the Premier League so whatever happens happens.

It is almost like he is cursed. He passes the keeper and then fails to score on empty goal, ok defender covered it nice but still it is seven meter goal. And then he has beautiful lob finish with left his weaker foot and that ends up being offside for couple of centimeters. At least he is getting into chances, nobody else in Liverpool managed to do even that much. This was a perfect example of the game were possession gets you nothing, Brentford played just as they wanted, they did not have Toney and they placed two fast players up front to catch Liverpool high line, very simple and very effective against this Liverpool.

Dang so technically you have never won any yellow cap so far despite that you have taken the top spot.

Anyway, I was expecting Brentford to hold Liverpool by getting a draw but it seems they were good though to be able to score 2 goals on the 1st half. I got myself a 3 way acca including Brentford to either win or draw so yeah 2 more to go for my ticket
