Only coaches who take on difficult jobs get sacked as some point. It's part of the game and not every sack was as a result of poor performance. Tuchel case for example.

When other coaches take up clubs like Barcelona and Madrid, they are difficult jobs, but when Pep goes to Barcelona, Bayern or City, it becomes a walk in the park. That in itself shows how good he is.

And in reality all jobs are difficult, which is why all clubs sack players. And money is not simple fix to a club, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man. Utd all have huge budgets but do not have close to the result that City has had in the last 6 years. Having a lot of money to spend is just one part of achieving success.

Staying at the top and keeping those top clubs at the level they are at or even improving it takes a great coach to do. So many other coaches have coached top clubs and failed. No other coach has been as consistent as he has been this last decade, closest would have been Zidane, but he has been on the sidelines for too long.

In those days it was Bacelona tradition to only replace first team coach with the Bacelona B team coach and when Frank Rijkaard was sacked Pep was promoted from Team B coach to the senior team, a coach without CV and it worked out well for him.

If it was today's Bacelona they would've gone for a top coach not Pep.

Pep was out of contract with Barcelona when the Neymar deal was completed.

Darwin Nunez leads your attack, but... Toney is not good enough for a top team like Liverpool. A player who is better than Darwin Nunez in every offensive area of the game? I knew Liverpool fans were not ready for this discussion. This is the same team that hired Benteke and A. Carrol as top attackers.

I was furious in all 3 instances and have said multiple times that all 3 players are utter shit.

The fact that Nunez is leading the attack does not mean that somebody better is the solution. I think Toney is better than Nunez, but I hate Nunez so much that I think that Chris Wood is a better player. Would I want him to be leading Liverpool's attack? Of course not.

There are a lot of bad players in current Liverpool's first 11, with Nunez and Konate leading the pack. Diaz hasn't done much to warrant a starting role as well, and I still have reservations about MacAllister in a deeper role.

Overall, we're a fantastic team - but also a team that can be improved. You improve a great team by bringing players that are either perfectly adept to play in that team or players of extreme individual quality. I will say it again, I really like Toney - but he's neither of these 2 things.

^^I've said it a few times, of our new crop of forwards, Jota's my favourite (he's not exactly new but he's now at the stage where Mane and Firmino were after getting straightened out by Klopp. Nunez is where we differ. He's not my favourite but I like him in the mix, and he'll also, if he pays attention and works hard, fit into the Klopp system. Once Salah goes, we'll need a new trident anyway. If Nunez doesn't keep scoring as he should but continues his involvements, it's what I want.

Quick answer as to why others got penalised and City didn't: others admitted and accepted wrongdoing, City has denied each and every one of those 100+ allegations.

It's more like they have an army of the best lawyers money could buy and again...  Their loop hole is air tight.  They did their homework before they did their shenanigans.  From the legal aspect of it all to the accounting and financial aspect.  And from their own eyes, it's just business.  Have a rule book that's gonna be exploited like that then it's def gonna be exploited.

Now I won't say that Man City doesn't deserve punishment because what they did should def be frown upon.  But irl it's all about what you can get away with, not what you deserve...  And it's fcked up.

I've been saying this like couple of times as well. Compared to the other coach's career, Pep has it way easier starting from Barcelona then Bayern Munich and now Manchester City. He is a good coach but Im not convinced if he is going to be able to handle those 2nd tier team and bring them to top 4 or something

Robertson in particular will be a big addition to the side. He has been missing for a very long time, laving a huge gap in the left hand side 9which Gomez has filled decently, I must add). I am not certain Thiago makes it into the current Liverpool midfield, especially if Szobozslai returns, but that is a good headache for any manager to have.

Fabrizio is currently discussing the Super league^[1]. Who is following that?

Well done vd309! It's beginning to look worse and worse for me in this pool. ON first glance it's only 6.5 points to 10th place, so you think wow that's not far. But from 20 points a few weeks ago now the gap to Position 1 is 27.5 points. That means I'm getting further away every game week.

I hate teams like Brighton and Wolves. Both missing some good Asian players, but you think that evens it out and they score a lot anyway. Flip a coin with these people

I completely forget about pool in this round due to holidays and now my spot is more down first time I am now having below than 40th rank which is worse now time to keep eye on this and have some better results in coming weeks before It's too late.

Brighton vs Wolves break many hearts as I check with few friends mostly were thinking to have over 2.5 and both teams to score, but sadly this match ended in a boring draw which is surely worst from these both teams as both are suffering due to few players which are on national duty right now.

That's our 18th domestic final since 2000, which is an incredible statistic. We've won 13 of them, but I'm not expecting much from this one. If Liverpool advances to the final, we'll have Anthony Taylor for real. There's no great surprise here.

Palmer is the signing of the season and he's not at his peak yet. We got ourself a monster.

Welcome to EPL pool. Same with Champions League pool. We have easy 50 players so most of us will enjoy the time below 40 rank, I'm so used to it I'm surprised if I get into top 10 lol

I also had like 3 or 4 default picks before remembering to put my other picks.I think there is still time in the pool and also prize spots are still quite achievable for most of us as not many points divide a good chunk of us here so there are still 17 weeks to play and a good over 400 points to play for so anything can happen.I know most people will go for the route of upset results in these remaining weeks which can reward them big time if the upset results happen in order to try to have a go at the prize spots.

They are really struggling with coping with the matches this season. Luckily there are still a couple of matches to be played in the league before they join the Europa league qualifications, so they could build some momentum in the league.

Losing their top midfielders, Caicido and McAlister, is giving them a lot of trouble; they thought they'd be fine with Gilmore and Old Miner in the midfield.

They were never a top 6 team; they had a strong two seasons, sold off their best players, and brought in a slew of academy graduates. The Brighton project is falling apart.
