The Premier League is finally back after the international break. There is even a Manchester derby at Etihad this Sunday.

To be honest it is going to be a match between 2 problematic sides. None of them has managed to make a good start to the season.

Haaland looks in really good shape after his last national match. I wonder whether he will be able to score against Manchester United.

I already said this but for me as far as i can see the team who lose the derby can also lose his coach, if Amorim plays bad and the teams lose badly and i mean really bad like 4-1/4-0 for sure he is not gonna be the coach of Manchester United.

Like we say here "the oven is not for buns".

Guardiola case is a little bit diferent but.... he can start to face some heavy troubles if he lose this game.

Liverpool travel to Burnley away, we should win comfortably as let’s be honest, Liverpool have better players in every position. Football doesn’t work like that though so I would be happy with any win. A late Isak winner perhaps haha.

Arsenal though can go top early in the weekend if they win the 12:30pm kick off on Saturday. Won’t be easy as Ange Postecoglu comes in with new ideas. I think Saka is still injured and Arsenal are not the same team without him. They should have enough to win at home though.

Chelsea away at Brentford, you would expect them to win as Brentford have been pulled apart all summer. They lost their manager and a few of their best players to bigger clubs.

The Manchester Derby should be a fun watch. Both teams well below their usual standard but a Derby game is always fun to watch as a neutral. Let’s just be glad the international break is over and the PL is back.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with you on something but yeah - open investigation for a period from 20 years ago. Well done fellas, but you're kinda late to the party.
I'd hate to see a club punished for something that happened so long ago. They needed to be punished, but FA wanted them in the CL then. Can't have it both ways, assholes.

Illegal deals are illegal deals, regardless of how long they were carried out; we deserve some type of punishment to send a strong message to others.

If the FA were a little more competent and fair in their duties, a bank ( Standard Chartered) well-known for funding global terrorism shouldn't be allowed to pump dirty money into Liverpool – they are not blue cartels, therefore it doesn't matter.

You will get good conduct for self-reporting the case yourself and it will be settled with a fine. That would not stop the banter that your club will get. Most people were not fully aware of what the 115 charges against City but they still gave them the stick every-time.

But I feared Nuno's N'ham Forest than I think I will fear their new side, he had a good blend of defense and counter attack which we always struggled against. If Ange brings his high-line, all attacking tactics, that should leave lots of space behind to be exploited.

Saka is out and I would not want him to be rushed back in. The club spent a huge amount on a back up, they have to trust Noni to deliver in matches like this and also to give Saka a rest in some future matches too.

I don't think Ange is that stupid to try playing high line with Milenkovic and Murilo. That would be suicide. I think he must keep things as they are for time being until he brings in players that are more suited for his style of play.

Perfect opportunity to see how good manager he actually is. I don't think anyone can repeat what Nuno did with Forrest, they over performed on every metric possible last season.

He did stick to the usual play for the first half and made it difficult for us to break them down. It took a beautiful strike from Zubimendi to get the breakthrough.

I have been particularly impressed with Madueke. His movements, positioning and quality of deliveries especially from corners have been very good. Still the second half to be played and the injury to Odegaard to worry about, hopefully it is not too serious.
I do not want to be critical of the team's overall performance. It is a completely new forward line and replacements in other areas too, it will take some time for them to play fluidly like a team. The injuries are not making it any better, but I can already see a difference from our last season display.

Really unfortunate for that Zubi goal, impossible to save with that tiniest of deflections. Like Trofo says, impossible also to repeat Nuno's feat with Forest -- trophy by second season, though!

Guys, maybe I have a stupid question, but this is the first time I'm participating in this pool and generally dealing with the superbru app, I don't understand a lot yet.
superbru have sent me an email offering to join another campaign? It has nothing to do with our pool, right? It's very convenient that the app reminds you to place bets, but it not only reminds you, but also offers something else? I decided to ask because I'm afraid of missing something important.

I have been particularly impressed with Madueke. His movements, positioning and quality of deliveries especially from corners have been very good. Still the second half to be played and the injury to Odegaard to worry about, hopefully it is not too serious.

Always good on the RW every time he played, unfortunately for him Enzo Mascara did not give him enough playing time on the RW, just on the left, where he struggled all the time.  I complained about this several times last season.

If Arteta wants to get the most out of him, he should not play LW. send Saka back to his LB and play Maduake RW.

It felt good having so much depth in the squad even with the injuries we have to Saka and Saliba, not to mention the long term absentees. There are lots of matches, Madueke will get games and Saka will get rest to keep him fit for more games.

Good win, another clean sheet and the top scorer in the league for now - Great weekend.

While we should be winning this, we have been found of drawing with this guys and again Cole Palmer isn't going to be playing. We should win this but I don't think we're going to get an easy game. The only good news for we is that Brentford hasn't been in form of recent so they shouldn't be causing us any much problems. Brentford has lost 2 of their last 3 games so Chelsea shouldn't have a problem winning. Brentford has also conceded 5 goals and Chelsea aren't shy from scoring so we should be expecting them to get a good  number of goals in this game. Our defence is also good at the moment but not at it's best but if we can keep the Brentford attack off scoring then winning shouldn't be a problem.

I was talking in other threads, what a super strange round we just had today, a lot of games without any goal and in some others only 1 goal, what is this english football or italian?

Seems like anyone change the presets, and Juventus against Inter was more a Premier League match than the ones from England today.

About the pool at least i catch one exact score.

The only problem is you cannot keep a defense line like that for long. Mosquera showed that he should be a starter, with glimpses I have seen of Hincapie in Leverkusen, he is a brilliant defender too. Both will not be comfortable sitting on the bench neither would Gabriel or Saliba. If you need Saliba to sign a new contract with Real Madrid calling you need to give him playing time, good thing we got Gabriel to sign a new contract earlier.

I know there are lots of games but you need a defensive pairing to build a partnership, meaning 2 will be starting all of the major games and others will feature in cup games or when there are injury absentees.
I will enjoy this season while it lasts and see how they are managed.

Yeah, but that is also the position Eze is best on, I feel like Eze is wasted playing winger that has to provide the width. He is so much better when cutting inside or playing that 10 role. Saka is at least used to that position and it fits Madueke and Martinelli perfectly.

We shall see how it develops. But no question about it, Arsenal made some good transfers and now they have proper bench capable of playing on two fronts even with few injuries.

Saliba is already at the peak of his career, where playing time isn't enough; he needs to start winning trophies, and if he can't get that at Arsenal this season for the third consecutive season, and Real Madrid calls, it'd be difficult to ignore.

Burnley has been playing a defensive game in this match because they know that one point is already very good for them, but Liverpool is clearly not what they expected, even with their determination, as they are currently struggling to score goals.

Their finishing is currently a major issue, as they have attempted numerous shots since the first half, but their on-target attempts have been completely off the mark in this match.
Hopefully, they won't make the same mistake as Chelsea, as there is still hope for at least one goal in the crucial moments.

Late, late, late winner again. Not the best performance but a win is a win and you can’t do any better than four wins out of four. Hopefully the performances improve soon but the results are great.

Burnley played awful football, they offered close to nothing in an attacking sense. When you defend so deep you are asking for one mistake to destroy everything and Salah made no mistake from the spot. Back to the top of the PL table we go.

That is the only way a team like Burnley can play against top teams. Kompany tried to play a different brand 2 seasons ago but got relegated just after coming back. The difference in quality is too wide, you just have to set a low block and hope for a lucky break or a set piece situation.

It hurts that Liverpool are not dropping points while playing bad cause they definitely will not play like this for long.
