Hey Peeps I have been looking through every BTC books lines and comparing them to pretty much other books around and honestly at least 90% of the btc books at least 90% of the time for baseball have worse lines by pretty high margins. Something to consider, I don't understand what some of these books are thinking when they put out these lines. It's pretty much all of them too including anonibet, I can pretty much find a better line elsewhere almost all the time. Nitrogen offers better lines than most btc books but I can still almost always get better prices elsewhere. Do u know how much this adds upto over time.
I'm an avid baseball bettor and agree with you 100%. It looks like many of the bitcoin books are targeting soccer at this time without much interest in the baseball market.
I can find better lines elsewhere on every sport compared to btc books. Nothing special here.
Peeps I added more too my other post.

One/two man shops never make it when they take an extended period of time without expansion.

Most of the bitcoin books start off as a one or two man shop but they expand with success. This is not happening with DirectBet.

Peeps, how do you know that Anonibet, your top rated Bitcoin sportsbook and the only one you rated A, is not a one man shop ?

Did you meet them in person to verify that ? Or perhaps you are one of them ?

And what do you mean by "expanding" ? Anonibet, your one and only A rated Bitcoin sportsbook, recently had a sports betting contest with 22 BTC prize pool. They exists since 2011 yet only 6 players participated in their contest, some of which are accused of being Anonibet employees.

Is that what you call "expanding" ? Is that sort of expansion needed to get an A rating from you ?

Lets face it Peeps, this is not a true ratings guide, it's a disguised paid advertisement for Anonibet, and the more you blindly defend them, the more it is clear what we have been claiming for months - you work for Anonibet !
I'm surprised anyone would even think of using your book after all the bs u have been complaining about for all this time. Not to mention your lines aren't as good as u think they are. You don't even offer to give out dimeline baseball? That alone is a ripoff.

Yes, as bad as it might be perceived to be - this kind of public back-and-forth is shamefully unprofessional and is making the rest of the operators look bad by association.
I'm glad that most of the books here have stayed away from these unprofessional attacks and have kept their posts to discussions of their own book.

It's been mentioned numerous times that the criticisms of books should be presented by the posters and not the books. The books are more than invited to post but the subject should pertain to their own individual book. It opens up question and answer periods that leads to informative discussions.

Thanks for adding your post on 5Dimes. We are keeping an eye on this since 5Dimes is competitive in the baseball market. I wish that 5Dimes would allow straight BTC withdrawals without converting to cash for withdrawals.

Have you taken out any recent withdrawals from 5Dimes? I haven't taken one in a long time but if I remember correctly, it took approximately one week. Posters are going to love Tony. Smiley

The reason why we are being so much more vocal about Peeps Place recently is because he crossed the line.

Please allow me to explain.

We already revealed a couple of months ago that Peeps is getting paid by his top rated Bitcoin Sportsbooks to promote them in forums.

That's not new. After revealing that, we let it go and kept silent.

A couple of weeks ago Peeps Place placed a bet on our website and lost.

After losing the bet, Peeps blackmailed us and demanded that we refund his losing bet or else he will publish negative information on DirectBet publicly.

His reasoning for demanding us to refund his losing bet was that his wallet delayed the transfer of his bet by a few minutes. However, we clearly state in our rules page that if your wallet delays the transfer of your bet, the bet will be processed as soon as it is received and that's what happened with his bet. We also recommend using the Bitcoin Core client to avoid such delays.

In addition, Peeps notified us on this issue only after his bet was already determined as a loser and not right away when the bet was placed.

Since our rules are very clear and since Peeps complained only after losing the bet, we decided that the bet should stand.

Peeps then went on public to spread false information when in fact our rules were very clear. You can find more details in the archive of this thread.

Do you see the problem here ?

Peeps is using the "Power" of his rating guide to blackmail books to refund his losing bets or else get bad publicity following by a reduced rating.

That's when we decided that we will not let it go this time until this scam thread is closed.

This is not a true ratings guide, it's a disguised paid advertisement.

PMs sent to DirectBet

Quote
I sent two bets for .5. One was accepted, the other rejected. Can you show me something that says the bet was good with the odds. When I hit bet status, it said that the odds had changed. Thanks

Quote
DirectBet- are you saying that I made a bet and 7 minutes later that you accepted the bet? I'm just trying to figure out what happened since I'm sure when I hit bet status that it said odds changed. Thanks

Quote
Tell me if I'm misunderstanding what happened. I place a bet at 3.3. It wasn't accepted. 7 minutes later you accepted the bet at 5.5?

Quote
17:45 placed a bet for .5. Bet not accepted.
17:48 placed a bet for 1 that was accepted.
17:52 you now accept the bet placed 7 minutes earlier.

Quote
No one should make more than 1 bet with you in game if you are going to accept bets 7 minutes later. Some are accepted immediately and some much later. Exposure can be much greater than wanted if we are guessing.

Quote
I can delete my posts but I think that I rightfully should receive .5 BTC.

Quote
I placed the order at 17:45. Your software should be set to reject anything after a specified amount of time, 1 minute for an example. You waited 7 minutes and then accepted it.

Quote
If someone holds the bet longer than 1 minute then just cancel it. Problem solved.

Quote

Quote
I don't understand the continued lies that you post.

Quote
I have no problem if you justifiably bash me. When you lie about posters, your reputation is killed and they will post that at other forums if you ever try to expand.

Quote
You lied again about being paid. I could put up an affiliate banner for any book. Of course the top books go up. You don't know our business relationship with the other books as it changes.

Quote
Your lies never end.

Quote
Looks like your lies are spreading like wildfire.

Getting back to Anonibet. This is joelad, the winner of the Anonibet contest.

Quote
Just read this thread for first time in a few days. Can assure you I am nothing to do with anonibet.  I have been playing there for a long time. The reason why I placed a lot of bets late on was because I wanted to try and win, and was lagging behind AnoniTips.  They don't need me to stick up for them, but I dont see how anonibet could be more transparent with how the contest was run, every bet had to be posted on a public thread.  Payment of the prize has also been received, as stated earlier in the thread.

See I'm open to what your saying but when u say that these ratings have been screwed with then I know your story is false. I know this because after coinbet theft, I made PeepsPlace understand some issues and then he reconsidered his ratings with all his books. U can sift through this thread to find where it started. I myself am a loyal poster at sports forums for years and will never lie for anyone or any book. So understand that your complaining about these ratings may be off here.

Dear Anonibet Friends,

First of all I would like to acknowledge joelad for coming forward as he is the Winner of this competition. We held this contest on this thread so that we could be as open to the community as we ever could. However, it seems that those that do not want our success have used the platform to attack us. It is because of that that we are calling to all our Winners to kindly display their wallet addresses that they use with Anonibet, so that the community can see the light of this issue. It may not be the most comfortable thing to do for our Valued Customers who won prizes and we sincerely apologize, but it will probably be the best way to prove to the community that all winners have been betting with us for a long period even before the World Cup, and also some have withdrawn their prizes after they were paid to them. Forum members have mentioned an audit, and with the anonymous nature of Bitcoin, this would serve best to clarify any queries the disgruntled members may have.

Regards,

Michael

Diectbet has no credibility. He's saying that I tried to blackmail him for not refunding a bet. My PMs show that this is untrue. It also shows that your bets can be delayed with DirectBet. My bet wasn't confirmed for 7 minutes.

DirectBet- Show me where I demanded a refund or would post negative information if you didn't refund my bet.

1. You ordered a bet at DirectBet and transferred your wager. Your wallet delayed your bet transfer by 7 minutes.

2. We processed and confirmed your bet immediately as soon as it was received and in accordance with our rules.

3. You did not complain on the delay until after your bet was already determined as a loser. You placed many bets on our website in the past. You know that after sending your bet transfer, you have to refresh the bet status page and wait until your bet is either confirmed or rejected. If there was a problem you should have notified us immediately. Instead, you waited until after you lost the bet to complain. There is a name for this tactic. It is called Angle-Shooting.

4. We explained to you that our rules specifically states that if your bet transfer is delayed by your wallet, it will be processed as soon as it is received. We further explained that the reason for this rule is because we have no way to tell whether your wallet delayed the transfer or whether you intentionally wanted to send your bet some time later after ordering it.

5. We provided you with a screen shot plus block chain reference as a proof that the delay was in your wallet and not on our end.

6. Despite all our explanation and no wrong doing on our end, you went on to this thread and made the following false statement :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448302.msg7659779#msg7659779

You accused us of accepting your losing bet and canceling your winning bet, when in fact both of your bets were processed as soon as they were received. One was confirmed and one was rejected and refunded immediately upon receipt and long before the result was determined. Your second bet was rejected due to the fact that the odds changed significantly during the period in which your wallet delayed the transfer.

7. Once your angle shooting did not work, you reverted to blackmailing.

After the above post you sent us a private message titled "Delete Post" where tried to induce us to refund your losing bet in exchange for removing your posts.

We then reinstated that your bet will stand because it was processed in accordance with our rules and because you did not notify us immediately on the problem. Instead, you waited for the bet result, and sent your complain only after your bet was lost.

Perhaps there are other books who refund your losing bets because they afraid you will downgrade them. We don't.

In order to succeed in the long term we have to follow our rules consistently, and these rules are clearly stated on our website.

Unbiased ratings are essential if the ratings in this thread are to be trusted and relied on.

If there is an issue, anyone should be able to post about it, whether bettor or book.

I don't see how this is unprofessional, and definitely don't believe it makes other books look bad by association.

Here's the person that came in 2nd place in the Anonibet contest.

Anonitips
Quote
Hi all, i see some of you still fighting over my 2.nd place, and i would like to clear things out as much as i can or know... please excuse my grammar mistakes as english is not my 1st language...

ok, i am betting on sports for the last 10 years, it has become my passion, i usualy bet at bwin or bet365, but not long ago, maybe 6 months or so i heard about bitcoin, and than i was looking for a poker site to play poker with bitcoins and somehow i crossed in to anonibet... i have previusly run a fb page caled G spot, and it didnt go as well as i wanted so after playing with anonibet i had a vision that maybe if i can get alot of likes i could recive payments for tips in BTC (for example 0.05 per tip.) so i started with anonitips on fb. I wrote www.anonibet.com on my page because i wanted people to know where i bet and where they can bet with their BTCs. in general to promote what i think is a good beting page, afterall the odds are better then the fiat competition... the page is up and running maybe for 2 or so months not since 2011... on the page is also one ticket from bwin(at that time i didnt have BTC so i bet on bwin), wich has a 5.5 odd won and i showd it.... I AM A REGULAR CUSTOMER, I JOIND THIS FORUM BECAUSE I BET ALOT and i thaught this competition was writen on my skin... so, if you have any questions for me, or what ever do ask... i will post my adresses on wich i deposit my btcs on anonibet soon probobly tomorow when i will have time to go trought my email.

I think it's super weird to advertise your own sportbooks review type thread where it's just YOUR opinion. The majority factor being the age of the sportsbook?

At least RyanK has a thread where all the forum users can share their input and create an average for each book as opposed to pegging book A, B, C grades based on personal preference.

Looking through the thread I don't see anyone really caring for these ratings either except for you bumping the thread to keep it alive.

I'm glad that Ryan has a rating site. The more the better.

The grades here are from input from all. Personally I would have DirectBet lower and Jetwin higher. The age of a sportsbook was not even a consideration until posters brought that up. Changes were then made on their suggestions. There have been over 33,000 views since February. There have been lots of contributions.

This thread has helped a couple of players to be paid. Warnings were given on both Coinbet and Bitcoinlivebets before they went under. It's much more than just the opinion of one person.

Here was the warning on bitcoinlivebets. Ryan had them ranked as the 3rd highest book at the time.

Quote
bitcoinlivebets is a very shaky book. They have problems on almost a daily basis and automation is never fully working. Each person has different reasons for playing at a book. I think that bitcoinlivebets is at the top of the list of the next book to go under although I hope it's not the case.

StakeBTC went under running with player's funds. Here was the review.

Quote
StakeBTC opened to forum members on January 18, 2014, although they have been open to a private group for a longer time. StakeBTC has a maximum bet of 30 BTC and many seem to play with StakeBTC for this reason. Others advertise higher limits but rarely is it available. There are a lot of good things about StakeBTC that I don't even want to mention at this time because of one point. When a sports book offers a 100% bonus with a 2x rollover, that's a huge red flag. The only thing keeping StakeBTC from being a "F", because of that bonus, is that they haven't had one complaint as far as payouts. StakeBTC opens at "D".

It's always good to monitor sportsbooks and make sure they are being honest.

I just think your ranking system is deceiving. Why have anonibet above nitrogen or betcoinsports? or even directbet?

It seems like your personal experience and the way you title your thread would indicate otherwise.
