Scammed for $1800 in ETH.
I cannot withdraw, they did not yet accept my enhanced verification.
I asked for a refund or approve my verif, but they did not reply to my ticket.

Hi folks, I haven't much on there but I'm still really pissed.  After years Bittrex just disabled withdrawals and came up with this KYC scam where they don't even verify valid ID's or answer ticket.  Everyone in this thread should warn other users against Bittrex on the Twitter feeds of Influential bitcoiners and rival exchanges, make sure the news of this scammy behaviour gets out there.  Lawsuits probably won't work but drawing customers away and costing them income could help 'encourage' them to resolve your tickets

Yep, Bittrex have just done it to me too. What a bunch of scammers, making it impossible to withdraw crypto without heavy personal detail disclosure. I have never seen such a restriction on crypto withdrawals on any other exchange.

Bittrex wont even allow you to withdraw $1 worth of crypto without verification regardless of how many times you are did it previously with them.  Complete scam. They are either incompetent, deliberately gathering personal data on people, or insolvent and need to stop withdrawals.

And it happened like i predicted it will happen somewhere

Bittrex ‘Leaks’ User Passports In Support Emails, Says Russian Telegram Channel

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

If you know your documents got leaked please send me a PM

I'm surprised how easily people send their IDs to unknown persons  (let it be bittrex or somebody else).  They can simply use your documents to open a bank account and doing some illegal business all in your name....
I also have couple of thousands usd there, but not considering sending them anything.

It would appear Bittrex has changed their TOS again without notification...  The restricted states where NOT on there when I signed up!

https://bittrex.com/Home/Terms

You can check the history of the Terms with Wayback Machine https://web.archive.org/web/20160401000000*/https://bittrex.com/Home/Terms.

Dude people have 100k+ dollars stuck in there and the only way to get them out is by verifying yourself. I personally wouldn't want to give them my ID but there is no other option. I still don't know what the fuck they are doing, it doesn't seem like a full scam and at the same time they keep doing super shady stuff.

How many weeks have you been waiting for Bittrex to upgrade your account after you submitted your requirements like IDs and other documents? I am planing to submit documents today to see how fast they will work on KYC but I still can withdraw funds on my Bittrex account. I still have the basic verification but every time I log In it asks to to upgrade to get higher withdrawal limit.

This is really a BAD thing. I've send XRP to Bittrex just now 'cause value is grown up in these minutes and I wanted to sell some XRP but just after "transaction confirmed" I get a "Wallet Disabled - performing routine maintenance" on XRP wallet!!!! Now XRP are going down :-(

Any news for the BTG? seems like ages for them to give back our BTG.

I got my share of BTG almost a month ago. And by got I mean 'not really got' cause it's stranded on the exchange along with about 6k in btc I can't withdraw.

I have a verified account on bittrex but recently moved all my funds to Binance. I have a negative feeling that there's really something wrong with bittrex. Better safe than sorry!

it is best to withdraw what you already have there and stay as far away from bittrex as you can. they are not looking so good at all these days. i have a feeling that this is Cryptsy all over again. so be careful, it is better to be safe than sorry. it is not like there is a lack of exchanges out there!

not to mention that if you submit your documents they may abuse it in a lot of different ways. like selling it to many people: https://cryptocoremedia.com/bittrex-selling-private-data-and-hiding-truth/
and it also seems like they are incompetent enough to leak it too: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bittrex-leaks-user-passports-in-support-emails-says-russian-telegram-channel

I think it's time to get a lawyer to order an operations address from their accountant at :

Bittrex LLC
6077 S Fort Apache Rd STE 100
Las Vegas, NV 89148-5580
I've posted this in the "bittrex is a scam"-thread:
~ a company that doesn't even show who's behind it. I didn't care much before, but after I click ABOUT, I get this:

This must be the worst "about" information ever typed on any website!

Under that, they show this:

Now I still don't know who they are.
They claim to implement KYC and AML regulations, but they're hiding who they themselves are.

P.S am asking myself if the updates of terms are even valid for old customers without notifying them and asking for acceptance.
To make it clear i'm pretty sure the new terms are not binding to old customers since noone accepted them

I had a 'Legacy' type account on Bittrex (more than 18 months old) which effectively had a limitless daily withdrawal limit.
I never had any withdrawal problems in the past and used to deposit and withdraw substantial amounts of btc without
any hassles. Recently I deposited btc to trade alts and when i tried to withdraw i discovered that my account type had been
changed from 'Legacy' to 'New' and that i now had a ZERO (0) withdrawal limit! Note that at the time I made these crypto
deposits (over the last couple of months) there was NO WARNING whatsover that my account type had been changed to New
and that I now had ZERO withdrawal capability! (Due to the outcry about this disgusting deceitful behaviour I see
Bittrex NOW has a warning once logged in that says you cannot withdraw anything due to being 'unverified'... TOO LATE
to put that notice up now!! It should have been put up there the second they changed my withdrawal limit to zero and
my account type to New so that i could back then decide for myself whether i still wanted to deposit funds knowing i
would then need to give up my privacy and get 'verified'.  These scumbags took that choice away from me and are
now holding my funds hostage to extort me for my personal information!

This is totally unacceptable and is nothing short of entrapment and plain theft.

I figured i'd do Basic Verification but this did not work - no surprises there after researching the problem and found that
NOBODY is getting it right to complete Basic Authentication anymore... so Basic Authentication is a joke! in fact it's just
a trap that Bittrex has laid out in which they use the info you input into Basic Verification against you after they purposefully
fail it and then coerce you into doing Advanced Verification ... and then if there is ANY mismatch between the info you
entered in Basic compared to Advanced then you are screwed and it can take months (if you're lucky) to get Bittrex Support
to manually verify you. Note that there is no option to review your Basic verification info or update it afterwards ... this
is by design to trap you into a position whereby you upload all your docs for Advanced verification but get this failed anyway
due to some mismatch (no matter how trivial) so still no withdrawal ability even although you have uploaded more than
enough personal info to allow identity theft. Do you trust Bittrex with your personal ID documents when this is how they operate??

I refuse to give in to this extortion by Bittrex and am not prepared to do Advanced Verification due to the shady way they
went about entrapping me (no warning) into depositing crypto all the while changing my account type and withdrawal limits
to zero stealthily without my knowledge! This is the lowest of low i have ever encountered - not even Poloniex pulled this kind of devious sh1t!
I opened a Support ticket regarding this but get no response.

i'll be joining the class action against Bittrex for sure due to their unacceptable shady behaviour and their use of my
deposited funds to extort all my personal ID info from me against my will!

If there are any decent human beings left then please give me my coins back

That's correct. You can't just change terms without noticing users AND agreeing to them.
That's completely against the law and illegal. A statement that if
someone does not want to go through the new terms and verification process,
give the option to close accounts and return funds to user.
