I think mintpal's paid votes system is nothing short of a scam.
No point in actual voting if 1 BTC buys you 20,0000 votes.

Having said that, both sides are wrong, you guys and UTC's could have just come to an Agreement and saved a helluva lot of money instead of filling Mintpal's owners' pockets..

For instance, you could have let UTC win (since their main exchange, Crypto-Trade, was hacked and is gonna be offline for a long time), at the condition UTCers would help you with votes in the next few days.

With both teams voting, it would have been a sure thing.

yes, i agree, both coins have nice people, so it's better to keep things peaceful, the only winner here is mintpal!

Well it's not too late, let's reason with them (I know them since I have quite a few UTC myself) and make a proposition, in the hope of building a friendship and helping each other out.

If you guys drop the BTCs on mintpal at the very last minute:

A) there's no guarantee they'll be added as votes in time

B) they could immediately do the same

That's the same thing I said on UTC's thread, competing like this is not optimal, but if you really wanna do it, you had to do it stealthly, not in the open.

Too late now I guess.

Both sides' best option at this point is stopping this madness, and keep funds for the next round, if needed.

  CORRECT !!!!
I'm stuck in the middle on this one i been voting 1 and 1 all week was going to throw BTC at it but can honestly say it doesn't seem worth it right now !!!
I  was mining PND from day 1 with 3.2 mhs go back look at my old posts on this thread if you think I'm trolling , I'm also original UTC stakeholder !
I hope both coins get on mint and if its close next week i will throw BTC at it but this week its a hard call and seems a waste of BTC !!!!

I'm sure PND will be just fine without mintpal for another two days, maybe the BTC could be used to sponsor some marketing campaign for PND instead of filling the already full mintpal wallet!

I am no longer checking back on the UTC  thread and am currently intending to sell my UTC coins if they hit Mintpal. Might even buy some PND.

I got no problems waiting. I mined millions of MINT the first week and sold very low considering what it is now. I will not make that mistake twice. PND!

Ok so, if you all agree, I can post on UTC thread about a ceasefire and start negotiations for vote support once UTC gets added.

Please let me know.

I posted a message confirming what you quoted, I think they will believe it.

Before that though, you guys need to reach a consensus, in order to avoid surprise-donations by disagreeing members.

That would seriously harm the "peace-process".
