Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Yes, I also tried using both block explorers listed at bitquark.info and neither one worked.

As far as dust is concerned, yes, that too is a problem. At least the fees are miniscule. I believe the reason is because, if there are no single deposits in your wallet equal to or greater than the amount you want to send, the wallet gathers up smaller deposit transactions to send as a single larger amount. If all those deposits are dust, the wallet needs to gather up a LOT of them. There must be a limit to the number of individual transactions the wallet can process for each send. If all your deposits are at least a few whole coins each then the wallet doesn't have to scrounge up all the tiny bits when you try to send larger amounts.

I swept all the dust out of my first wallet last night starting with 100 coin increments. By the time I was done the maximum send amount gradually fell to 0.75 BTQ. It took me all night to complete. What wallets really need is a DEFRAG tool! MPOS only for this guy from now on.

would be nice, since c-cex taking forever for my sell order to complete

Yea I'm hoping that BTQ will be on one of the major exchanges really soon as C-Cex doesn't have any volume/traffic, so most of the miners are holding out for a better exchange. We do have the dumpers who are selling cheap on C-Cex.

Good point. So what can be done about getting BTQ onto other exchanges? Can anyone point me to exchanges where there's a possibility that BTQ will be listed? Or any that have active votes on BTQ being listed?

Cheers.

Since the new website launch yesterday, I've noticed a big increase of mining going on at some pools. Some of which the total number of miners have doubled! This is definitely a good thing! More exposure!!!

The price of BTQ on C-Cex.com has also went up today...it opened at 0.00001 BTC ($0.00505 USD) and is now at 0.0000843 BTC ($0.0426 USD)...That's an increase of almost 8.5 times the opening price!

Well, it's a good thing you still have C-Cex to fall back on because pretty much nothing works at Lazy-Coins. Undecided

I'm not sure what's up with LazyCoins. I think they are gradually adding coins, looks like they would go ahead and add all the ones they said they were going to add.

Good, another cpu coin.
BTQ has a block time of 30 seconds and block rewards of 2.5 BTQ per block.
Isn't it a little low?

Actually it's not really that low. The same amount of coins are mined as with Bitcoin over a time span of 10 mins.
Bitcoin has a block time of 10 mins and generated 50 coins per block. BitQuark has a block time of 30 sec and generates 2.5 coins per block.
10 mins / 30 secs = 20 blocks
20 block * 2.5 BTQ = 50 BTQ's mined

So all in all the block rewards are the same as Bitcoin, but with a faster transaction time and the coins are more equally distributed.
