Basically the code can be updated without the proposed hard forks as well... It's a matter of a few hours coding and testing. In any case I would vote for the soft forks at least (BIP65, BIB66, CSV, SegWit).

SegWit?  not sure if that can ever be a good thing ....  why add it?  open source is good ...

As Varvarin already said, a transition to ETH has to be thought twice, and it has to be well prepared.
So we'll see a swap probably next year.

Untill that happens I would update the code as it's not that much work.

Andy.

Why has been The Cypherfunks designed to inflate forever? With constant increase in supply of 1 314 000 000 per year? Is it not a bad feture for the crypto, while BITCOIN will aways have a limit of 21 mil coin?

What block is showing in your wallet as most recent?

it has just synched, about two hours ago. not sure why it stuck . was a little weird.

Got my wallet synced from 50 weeks in less than an hour and now is at "3 hours ago". Looking at explorer, last block was 3 hours ago with only 33MH/s hash rate, so we are live just slow.

Should really get some Scrypt asic pointed at this.

Good luck SP on dev search. Cheesy

Is there any option to sync a WINDOWS wallet? I just downloaded the wallet and it must sync from 186 weeks. The only message a got is it will be synced automatically with the  Cypherfunk network after a connection is stablished.

I'm still hanging around on vacation (or held hostage by a well overpriced hotel like I would call it) but at least I was able to have a good look into the wallet / node code. The upgrade needs to be done in 2 steps, first one to sneak in BIP65 and BIP66 as they are still following Bitcoin's isSuperMajority rule and it wouldn't be worth the effort to change those to BIP9 as well IMO. The required hard forks can take place there as well. Second, we could simply upgrade to the latest version whatever this will be but I guess Litecoin 0.14 codebase is the way to go.

I also agree that the new specifications need to be fixed and frozen before actually getting some code out in the wild. There for feel free to discuss them and get us on thinking, coding and testing ;-)

Hi Mike. After discussing everything with our devs, we have decided not to do any hard forking. The only option for a long term project is to create an ETH token, most likely using the ERC223 token standard. Right now we are working on a killer web design, and our devs are now looking directly at the project.

TSP

I am just trying to understand better, because I was learning to manage Cypherfunks wallet and mining. But it seems that all will change!!!

Well I am not a dev, but it is very strange to hear that the only option is to create an ETH token.

Could somebody explain why it would be better to be and ETH token? What would be the gain with that?

Third place with voting at the moment! Someone is doing a great job (or a great script)

A roadmap would be great, but the impression I have is more of a "hobby" project of some great people. If they spend some time on it, this will become a success. Otherwise it will fail. High risk, high reward for the people invested  Smiley

Here is a quick update. I've received permission from Simon (original dev) to update the website, and a platform around the Cypherfunks will be developed. I'll post more details soon!

I think there will be a roadmap on the updated Website :-)

I will suggest we stop adding exchanges for now, since there's no better updates from The dev. With the news I saw above, I believe the devs are working on this project and also the website.

Currently, there are little or no volume on existing exchanges, adding another exchange (s) with the current status of this coin will do no good  as people will see it as a dead coin.

Listing on exchanges immediately after those updates will boost this coin rapidly.`

Also, people who have any talent that can boost this coin should contact the admin as well. I so much beleive in this coin and I've been hodling for a while.

Won't sell till it moon, even with that, will just sell little.

Kudos to the devs and everybody!!!
