I haven't used it yet, but could try it out tomorrow.

However, if the coins are swapped for a new ETH-based coin, than I might not make much sense  Smiley

Do you know why being an ETH token is better than being an independent cypto as FUNK is today?

Because without to much development, you'll get all the features that ERC20 tokens have. So you don't have to program smart contracts, storage for hardware wallets like Ledger/Trezor etc. into the current chain.
The downside is that you'll become a lot more similar to other tokens, since there are many ERC20 tokens already. So you need to have something to set you apart.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Thx for the explanation bro.

I hope FUNK to become a success in any scenario.

To me, building on ERC20 is not a superb option, If you want to beat VOISE and others, try something else. Also the process seems slow. I still dont beleive "soundposition" about other team working on this. Maybe you're the only one working on the project, else they supposed to at least have said something since they've joined. Or am I missing any news? Is there any other communication channel where those devs are active? if yes, Please give the link.

Thank you

Well, what is wrong with what Jommy99 said? He seems to be doing a good job with the Electrum wallets.

You asked some position from the Devs, and Jommy99 seems to be one of them!!!

I think the team is devided and while Soundposition seems to support the ETH token version, Jommy99 and some others seems to support the present regular blockchain.

I am not a developer, but I and my group are planning some promotions where the participants will be rewarded in FUNKs in order to bring more people in. (Well this will be our try).

Yes, I agree.

When I came to FUNK I was expecting something great to 2018, so at least for me there is still time.

Anyway, I see FUNK as a resonable bet, but as in any bet I must be prepared to loose.

I still believe in the project and hope to see FUNK going to the moon.  Grin

I do feel a bit bad for the guy who sold all his FUNK for VOISE.

FUNK is still going steady, while VOISE went from 450-500 sats to 150-200 sats. Big loss!

Thanks for keeping the faith! I'm happy to at least provide you with an update. We are really getting our act together over here. The website is close to being designed, and we have secured an eth/blockchain dev. At least tonight there is a meeting to solidify that, and discuss the arrangement. The dev was offered by a project leader in GameCredits.

There is a modified white paper, which is not final. So far the idea sounds good to the people involved in the development over here. It will get tweaked and refined as more minds pour over it. There is a lot of brainstorming happening.

More details will be coming soon. Stay tuned!

Glad to hear the news.

I think there is still time to get into FUNK, before it leaves the current station.

We now have both a windows cypherfunks Electrum and an Android version http://cryptodepot.org/downloads/

Today I tested the Android Cypherfunks Electrum wallet and it worked fine. The only issue is that the QR code reader is must be a specific one "Bar Code Scanner ZXing".

I am also experiencing some intermittent connection problems, and I am not sure if the problem is in the wallet or with my device.

First my Android Cypherfunks Electrum Wallet was working very nice. But now that FUNK is blocks last more than 20h to be mined, I have unconfirmed transactions for more than 3 days. Before it used to last few hours.

Somebody knows what is wrong??

It seems that few people are mining FUNK or the difficult is to high.

Are the block rewards still 5k? That seems a bit low given the current price. I guess miners are keeping the chain alive, but not making much profit?

It seems to be 12.5k, but the there are blocks coming every 20h or so. But the blocks added to the block chain with only 1 transaction, while I have no processed transactions in my wallet. Why are the blocks empty when they could process all pending transactions?

I think the problem is with the Android Cypherfunks Electrum wallet. I have this test transaction, but the txid does not appear on the FUNK blockchain explorer: 572de6c563658eb4373c42dc5ca0cbad3fa4df42e7f7411054e29d0df794ab3e

I'm still hanging around on vacation (or held hostage by a well overpriced hotel like I would call it) but at least I was able to have a good look into the wallet / node code. The upgrade needs to be done in 2 steps, first one to sneak in BIP65 and BIP66 as they are still following Bitcoin's isSuperMajority rule and it wouldn't be worth the effort to change those to BIP9 as well IMO. The required hard forks can take place there as well. Second, we could simply upgrade to the latest version whatever this will be but I guess Litecoin 0.14 codebase is the way to go.

I also agree that the new specifications need to be fixed and frozen before actually getting some code out in the wild. There for feel free to discuss them and get us on thinking, coding and testing ;-)

Hi Mike. After discussing everything with our devs, we have decided not to do any hard forking. The only option for a long term project is to create an ETH token, most likely using the ERC223 token standard. Right now we are working on a killer web design, and our devs are now looking directly at the project.

If the FUNK project goes well, it will be a very interesting coin to next Crypto-Cycle, after this BTC fork, price correction and all that may happen in the next months.

I guess it is time only to acumulate FUNK, keep calm, and wait.
