Since somebody asked for it, i've created Blackcoin lookup addons for FF and chrome, if anyone wants to check them out/test them and leave me feedback:
The chrome version was originally forked from an existing Bitcoin addon, but it's next to nothing left from the original code since the BTC one was very very "basic" and we do not have that "bitcoin:" URi for BLK anyways.

Clicky: BlackCoin Address/Transaction Lookup @ BLK subreddit

Works with selected text. Right click on a selected BlackCoin address (34 characters, starting with "b" or "B" or a BlackCoin transaction id (64 characters). Click the contect menu item and the address or transaction page at https://chainz.cryptoid.info/blk will be opened. If the selected text is not an BLK address or tx id the context menu item will either be disabled (chrome) or change the label accordingly (FF), that's different because of the completely different way custom context menus are handled.

I would assume that using local bitcoins (https://localbitcoins.com/buy_bitcoins) and then buying blackcoins with that BTC would be your way to go, unless you know people that are selling bitcoins, maybe they would sell you blackcoins for cash as well.
