The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

BlackCoin 1.2.4 has been released. Packages for Fedora are available.

Ercoin (https://ercoin.tech) — proof of stake, fair distribution via burning, messages, accounts, flexible fees, flexible block time.

Feels superpumpy.
Breakout ahead imo.

Soon.

Pumping based on NO FUCKING fundamentals.... long story short

what a fucking idiot!!!

<<snip tweet>>

That wasn't what I meant but... Ok. I'd prefer to preserve the integrity of Blackcoin instead of self profit for a team. There are things that are being worked on, the idea involved into something better in my opinion for all those involved but, it threw a wrench into plans surely and delayed us a bit. I guarantee it wouldn't of been good for Blackcoin because well, it wouldn't of been on Blackcoin. It would've been something else with a coin swap. Which is why we didn't go forward with it but we found another way around getting what we need for Blackcoin.

I would've been an idiot to do that. Speculation my friend is what drives value. Do note that we are working on the future.

Not to mention, rat4 wasn't showing signs of life so we were worried about core development. Then there is the difficulty on bringing new developers on board. I can't tell you how many times we were asked to make a new coin but refused. Instead we are making a compromise given current circumstances.

Blackcoin stakes 1% interest per year. That money is distributed at a constant rate to each wallet that stakes, based on the amount staked.

Currently you can expect roughly 5% a year because not everyone stakes.

You should change your signature. BC abbreviates to BLK now.

Other than for legacy reasons (peercoin's coinage stuff), was there any reason for keeping the nTime field in transactions, and referencing the txPrevTime (rather than just txPrevHash) in PoSv3? I've been analyzing the consensus rules around the transaction nTime and it seems to add a lot of restrictions and potential attack vectors, but for no obvious benefit. Can you share any insight into that?

It should be possible to remove nTime from transaction. I didn't go that deep because of compatibility reasons.

Yes, It would make blk compatible with vast big field of bitcoin software that is available now, BlackCoin should be able to use blocktime in staking and remove nTime altogether.
Maybe in POS 4.0?

The idea already influenced protocol so much that you can clearly see it now  Smiley

Don't forget the opposite effect: it would make PoS available to vast big field of bitcoin forks that exists now  Shocked
