I doubt we will be fixed into one course like some kind of communist command economy.  Competitive capitalism will occur and we may even see a mix of both, blackcoin did have POW to start. Maybe its time for the POW coins to have some POS or who knows what happens.
If its useful to the community, it should occur without needing to be anyones opinions or agenda exactly.   Genuine demand exists I hope in increasing amounts

I see positives in how bitcoin is so busy that they have too much business and this is their trouble, it makes it more likely another coin will get at least some of that trade that is not efficiently handled by bitcoin.

On a deeply technical level I wouldn't be able to tell which type is best. All I can say is that for a currency that uses PoW, to have a separate party managing the security, transaction speed and inflation rate is just grossly unelegant. The idea of having giant mining farms / pools calling the shot over a coin is just jarring. There's just always contention between holders and miners in PoW coin communities. I liked how scrypt provided a solution to the original PoW and I liked it even better when PoS appeared and internalised all the work of the miners into those who actually held and used the coins.

So yeah. People are catching up to PoS. It already has worked fine for years now without much controversy. Most PoS coins could have handled their early distribution better, but now that these coins have matured at a very low price that argument is getting weaker by the day.

Yes. I wholeheartedly agree with that.

What happened to BLK multipool i remember this was once unique system for stability and prosperity..? People love POW and all those who already invested in hardware will try to stay in game. POS is good but miners won't be interested, and they are in good number on this forum!

Of course miners aren't going to like a coin that doesn't need them. I don't see how that's a problem for PoS coins.

"When miners become more powerful, everyone else gets less of a say."

Exactly. The interest of miners isn't necessarily aligned with the interests of the coin. People will get sick of this relationship eventually.

Huh? This crap got any new developments? Who and why would spend their time on blacky... short answer is nobody will ever look in the direction of this scam. Dollittle guy has got talent and enough steam to turn this space upside down, he could cause some madness in this space. He is a great contributor and a knowledgeable investor and could take this junk over. Sadly hes not interested in anything besides curing fucking chimps and giraffes from diabetes.
