There is no doubt in my mind that us coming together as a community, putting forth plans that are gaining traction will garner attention and cause an UPWARD TREND. This is not vital for just BC, but for crypto currency and our children's futures as well.

+1  Our friends from IRC got the great idea to start the almighty multi-pool. They realized if they can convince the community the multi-pool would be able to sustain the BlackCoin price, everyone would mine there. The plan actually worked and now the multi-pool is earning a lot of BTC, but mostly for the people running it. So to keep that BTC flowing in they keep offering prizes and all kinds of wonderful stuff. I came along and started shifting focus from the multi-pool/dev team to community initiatives. I started getting way too much attention and that made a few people very nervous. I was asked to "stop posting as much". When people from this community realized the core group were not focusing on what they should be focusing on, the core group viewed me as a "threat". I originally went to the dev team and the "foundation" to fund Wall Street event and they were all for it until I wouldn't back their "Meet Black" campaign. They felt the only way this community would go along with the Meet Black campaign if I presented it. When I decided to decline, they snubbed the Wall Street event. So obviously I came to the community to fund the event. My move put them in a very bad predicament...if the community funds the event and it goes off as planned, the community would realize they no longer need the core team or the multi-pool. So they they got Gritt to comment on the CoinTelegraph article: " I want to point out that the march on Wallstreet is not officially sponsored or endorsed by Blackcoin Foundation" to delegitimize the event and slow down funding. http://cointelegraph.com/post/blackcoin_s_smooth_and_sexy_nyc_charm_offensive When I realized what was going on and I proposed we make BlackCoin less centralized that made quite a few people nervous and upset. When the CoinDesk article went live today http://www.coindesk.com/things-alt-ponzi-schemes-blackcoin-usbs-time-warp-attack and had no mention of the BlackCoin foundation or the BlackCoin dev team, they realized they had to do something fast. So someone came up with the " brilliant" idea to post the PR firm announcement and got everyone from IRC to come here and post to pump up the community. Half the people posting now I never seen post here before... They figured if they can generate enough buzz maybe they can stop the plans to make BlackCoin decentralized.... It reads like something out of a novel and sadly it is true...So while I am here genuinely trying to get this community together and accomplish big things, this small group of people are trying to keep control purely for greed.... "Hey we have a PR firm and we want you to donate $15,000 so we can secure their services. We can't tell you the name of the firm but trust us it will be awesome"!  Weeks ago I suggested in IRC that we make crop circles all over the world to promote Blackcoin. We tossed around how we could make it work, how much media coverage it could get, if we could even get farmers to let us destroy their crops in the name of Blackcoin... well, community. The time has come. We have to try this. I can no longer ignore the rising support for #BlackCoinCropCircles.ANNOUNCING:The BlackCoin
Crop Circle ProjectThough mysterious and other-worldly, crop circles can be created very easily. A simple crop circle such as the BlackCoin logo could be created by 2-3 people in a matter of hours. Don't believe me? Watch this YouTube video:

The only tools required are a large rope, wooden planks, and a surveyor's tape. These items can be secured at Home Depot or likely any hardware store for ~$30 or less.These are the steps we need to take to make this happen:1) Find locations. My idea is to choose farms near helicopter coverage - IE: where news helicopters already fly every day for weather/traffic.
2) Contact farmers and ask them if we can create the greatest image ever to grace their land. We may be able to raise a small BlackCoin bounty for their trouble.
3) Contact media publications and see if we can get them to run a story about this.
4) Get teams together to actually make the crop circles. Teams of 2 would work, 3 or more is preferable.
5) Choose a Black night, and make as many simultaneous crop circles all over the world as possible!
I WANT AT LEAST ONE ON EVERY CONTINENT. These are the things we need:1) Supplies for every crop circle team. $30 x number of crop circles.
2) If we have extra funding, we can sweeten the deal for the farmers and add a bounty to use their land. And someone still had to front the money in advance, put a design together, take the time to put the software and push the product. I personally see nothing wrong with it and think $20 is a far price. Time and effort also cost money. Consider also I couldn't just buy 1. $2 usb drive $2000 to buy 1000 $5 to print on them $7 per hour to put software on each card (time is money) $20 per card is still cheap I personally see no problem with it. He could have sold them for $25 and I would not complain. I don't see why people hate so much. If you feel he is a scammer then make your own card and sell it? YES? You will offer it to the community for $2? Put me down for one if you do. Thanks. |

also for those saying that PR firms are bad investments for startups, ya you are correct. but blackcoin and cryptocurrency aren't traditional startups. this will not only benefit BC but the entire crypto industry and place BC brand at the forefront of peoples mind when they think crypto or bitcoin
It's usually a bad investment for startups because money is better spent on coding development to improve a product... So.. who's doing that with BC? I bet there's a lot we can do with $15k to improve at least wallet functionality.. maybe some little coin new features here and there (without forking). Do we have some devs on retainer that we can hire with the donations? Well, now we have two large donation projects in one time. Isn't it better we first end the Wall Street project and then jump on the Marketing PR firm train? For that last one, maybe if we can help increating PR related stuff, we can do more with the same price (or get the same for a better price?).
