At least it's likely that Merit sales will lead to red trust since it's an abuse of the system. It's only not directly mentioned in the rules because Merit sales will be arranged outside of Bitcointalk instead.

Honestly, I can't imagine that someone will remain untagged if he starts a topic in Meta offering crypto for Merits.

Now I see why you were thinking that I'm selling merit.
I agree that the subject of the thread can be misleading, especially for the newbies.
I don't want to be an asshøle, I don't like to ruin accounts even though it looks the opposite and since you have no scammy behaviour (yet) I will change my negative to neutral feedback.

I finally figured out how to scrape data as if I'm logged in! It turned out to be pretty simple, all I had to do was copy the forum's cookies to a file, and let my scraper use it. I now scrape as LoyceBot, which has only DefaultTrust on it's trust list. I also added a short explanation, because some users wondered why they were on my list.
