If you ask me then I would say he should not invest in bitcoins as the returns are not guaranteed and the investment is very risky as if he would have invested in bitcoins back in 2017 end then he would have been in a huge loss and his debt would also have increased and with this he would also have been in stress and depression because he would think all day on how to repay the debt.

Everyone can benefit from bitcoin because you can start investing even in a small or little amount. Let your friend pay his debts first. It doesn't matter if he has no major investment, it's better to be debt free that to have major investments that came from debts.
