Was there a fork or just an update? I'm missing some MYR from 9/27. and when I look up the TxID in the block, it says it does not exist. TxID is 7d407e39e0d375ac28f1984cb8c099aab3f37a6ecb59ffd9f62d6ec8de158163.

TIA

Yes, there was a recent hardfork, somewhere around that time. You should be using v0.9.2.16, as it says in the ANN title. If you sent coins on the wrong fork, they should be recoverable though, if you upgrade your client and reindex or rescan.

Unfortunately they were sent from a pool that was not upgraded until a day or two ago, and from their update after the upgrade "MYR pools fixed, some blocks lost from the fork", how he managed to lose blocks is beyond me, prob don't know what he was doing.

He lost blocks by mining the wrong chain. Now what he thought he had doesn't exist. But you're right he should have been watching the thread if it's a coin he supports a pool on. Sorry for your loss. How much? Post an address and you may get some sympathy coins... Smiley

Greetings All,

I've forked Electrum 2.4.4 for Myriadcoin:

https://github.com/cryptapus/electrum-myr

Seems to be working so far. Please let me know if you see any issues.

I also have 2 electrum servers running. If you would like to run an electrum server to support this client, please see:

https://github.com/cryptapus/electrum-server-myr

Please let me know if you are running a server and I'll add it to the client.

Linux and Mac zip files are located here:

https://cryptap.us/myr/electrum

And after some wrangling with wine there is a windows installer as well. Please let me know if there are any issues.

I had the opportunity to steal a mac for a bit, an OSX dmg file is available now.

Updated windows version, couple of new icons and removed some items that are non-functional for now.

Anyone else notice that the hash rate on the GPU algos has gone up since the hard fork, even though profitability should have more than halved? The price has gone down too. Yet the hash rate continues to climb.

Good time to invest in this particular coin for any bank or a small country.

This is normal after merged mining is implemented. The hash rate will continue to rise as more & more miners adopt myriadcoin into their merge mined pools - giving the coin a secure & stable network.

But why is the hash rate rising on the algorithms that aren't merge mined? Qubit, Skein, and Myr-Groestl are not merge mined.

Probably because miners who were straight mining the gpu algos have moved over due to the rising gpu difficulty merge mining has caused?

I have decided to release open source my Myriad-Groestl OpenCL kernel. It's faster than the current best public one for 10% or so. Donations welcome indeed.

New OpenCL Kernel for Myriad-Groestl (DGB, MYR, etc.)

While we're talking about opensourcing, did anyone manage to port my kernel to sgminer?
I still get 7500khs from my Radeon 7750 (core 850 Mhz) and I'm still looking for more feedback.

Wallet 0.9.2.16 will not open.

Assertion Failed! error

Windows 7 64bit trying the 64 bit version wallet.

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks Wink

If it's the first time that you run 0.9.2.16 you need to start with the -reindex flag I think.

Can Myriad change its topic to:

[ANN] [MYR] Myriad 0.9.2.16 MERGE MINING REQUIRED UPDATE | The ORIGINAL multi-PoW with the fairest distribution. NOT DigiByte

Honestly, I think it's pretty warranted. They don't give any credit to Myriad, and some of their writing has even been deceptive. I quote:
Quote
September 1st, 2014: MultiAlgo hardfork at block 145,000. DigiByte plans & successfully deploys its second hardfork to allow miners to mine on five independent mining algorithms & is the first digital currency to make such a move.

From their [ANN] thread. If you didn't know any better, would that not lead you to believe that DigiByte was the first?

So what do you think? To me 1st Multi-PoW is too subtle.

P.S. I'm NOT the developer of Myriad coin. Obviously. How do I put that underneath all my posts?

You can add a signature in your profile.

Technically Myriad is not the first multi-PoW. Huntercoin launched before Myriad, and uses both sha and scrypt algos (in addition to the "human mining" component). I'm not against changing the topic, but I don't think it's a good idea to put Digibyte in the topic.

Why not? DigiByte will catch people's eyes. About HUC, was it originally both sha and scrypt, or did it hard fork to include that? I thought it was just sha and human mining when it got released. I don't mind paying credit to HUC, it's a very interesting coin, but it makes completely different use of the multi-algo concept. It is in no way a competitor. However, DigiByte is clearly a competitor.
