Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Dudes, considering I have developed my miner to go with MYR I would expect to be at least mentioned by now... albeit I understand some closed source kernels at last managed to get slightly beyond my perf, I'd like to get some more feedback especially on GRS-MYR.

I don't think I've received any MYR donations on my kernel either. The DigiByte folks were more generous, though it didn't reach even 0.05 BTC anyway. It's a bad sign if a community ignores work done for the coin and discourages from any further work.

Apparently X11 ASICs are coming:

What does that mean for Myriad?

At this point, I would say a whole lot of nothing, since Myriad doesn't use X11.

We have all been studied and chewed, in short, any Asik is cheaters among miners that any coin may drop to the floor for the price and the attractiveness of investors.

At this point, I would say a whole lot of nothing, since Myriad doesn't use X11.

Myriad uses Qubit (Luffa, CubeHash, Shavite,  SIMD, Echo) which is a subset of X11. Skein is also a part of X11. Myriad's Groestl is Groestl-512 + SHA-256 which is a bit different. The question if the ASIC manufacturer allows use of these 11 algos separately or chained differently. Even if this model doesn't, not a big deal to produce another one which does.

Reference R9 280X offers 2MH/s. Not sure about power consumption, maybe 150W. What they offer 384MH/s for 715W blows GPUs away by a HUGE margin.
