What happened at eup2pool.cryptopools.com about 4 hours ago? Hash rate went to 0 for a while.  Also it appears that usp2pool.cryptopools.com is down at present.

is there any benefit to mining using an algo other than scrypt using R290X's?

It depends on difficulty level. For the moment the most profitable algo is Skein.
You can see profit calculations at block explorer.
Edit: by the way, on skein, groestl and qubit GPU runs much cooler than on scrypt, power consumption is smaller also.

I am getting 6.25mh for a R9 290 (non-x) version using Qubit.

Myriadcoin has doubled in value in the past 2 days.  Can you imagine what will happen once it hits a large exchange?

I've acquired almost 3 million coins and not planning on selling anytime soon.  This is the coin of the future.

if you grab this large amount and the coin is lack of circulation,   ppl will  get hurt when you dump all your holdings

I have no plans on selling these in the short to medium term future.  The amount I have is the tip of the iceberg compared to what is currently in circulation (and what will be in circulation).  I am just getting in while the price is low.

I'd advise you all to do the same.

So you're saying you have 4% of the MYR in circulation, and that 4% is the tip of the iceberg?

soon we will witness a 500% hype.

I don't want this coin to reach absurd hype levels.  I want people to see the actual value it offers and understand that it's no gimmick, this is the real deal.

I would prefer for the price to remain relatively stable to allow more and more people to acquire it and realise the benefit of having it.  I hope the whales stay away and we avoid pump and dump strategies, though fairly confident that the coin can survive anyway.

Keep up the good work developers and thank you for your services.

Myriad is one of the most innovative and exciting cryptocurrencies right now, and I've been mining it on and off for a few weeks (though I did miss the early action Undecided ). I love the idea that all types of mining equipment can contribute to securing the network and grab some of the block rewards. Seems like it has attracted the attention of some important folk in the altcoin space, which bodes well for future development. Buying and holding!

Huh

what is with the low hash numbers?
I am getting around 15MH/s on my HD6970 , I am using SPH-Sgminer with added "groestl" support...
wtih these cmd line options:
sgminer -k myriadcoin-groestl -o stratum+tcp://stablehash.com:4502 -u xxx.xxx -p xxx -I 17 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 3200  --no-adl

Here is the proof:
