Anyway, did you noticed how things are moving in scrypt disfavour? Lot of coins like Dark coin, and Myriad coins are gaining huge popularity as everyone is scarred of 100 MHs KNC ASIC we should promote this coin hard way!

well, i think it might be actually time to start some promotion.
what do we need? i'm a freelance motion designer. i'll do the work (mostly) for free, but voice over costs money.
How about a 2minute video showcasing how Myriad works?

How about you show some of your work, poolerino.com pays you a bit and you make two for myr for free and one for poolerino and my company? For my company I need some cool promotion clips for new apps and ideas.

But you do know that this coin is asic friendly ? ASICs can mine their own scrypt and SHA256 algos. GPU/CPU miners have 3 other algos to choose from. All have separate difficulties based on hash rates 1000THsSHA256 vs 1MHs of any of the 3 GPU algos will still give the same reward in the same time. its a very robust coin in that way

Guys, anyone remembers the link to the Myriad profitability calculator site, the one that averaged everything to comparable 1MHY/s scrypt? I can't find it anymore, and it's not in the first post.

I like myr but of it gets any bigger basics can be developed to mine it easily. and I'm talking skein, keccak and groestl not just scrypt and sha256.

Long time lurker (myriad coaxed me out of the shadows) and first post in the BTC forums so please be gentle! You are definitely right and it was an interesting paper. They will be months even years away as the profitability is in scrypt right now but no matter what algo is developed an ASIC will eventually exist given the profit motive even with punitive N-factors (although they seem somewhat effective in the medium term). So going forward this coin will need some way of adapting the 5 algos to ensure it keeps a healthy balance between hash rate/hardware cost/transistor density/asic friendlyness. To ignore this issue would be to ignore the innovation this coin brings. I welcome the discussion of how to face this exciting future. As in nature and business we must evolve or die. ivanlabrie you seem well versed in this subject, what would be your suggestion going forward?

Besides, the dev/community should be able to institute a process for retiring an algo occasionally and implementing a new one. The point is, EVERY OTHER coin can be dominated by a single asic. Myriad would require 5.
