the days of the exchange houses are numbered (the mtGox issue looms still)

so I have full faith that direct p2p trading is the future, or at the very least each coin community will provide a shape-shift like swapping service

projects like OpenBazaar or Halo basically have the tech ready to go and with the amount of $$ being thrown at crypto 2.0 ETH/NXT/BTS ... someone will create something better than this legacy exchange house model

crypto is program-able money
so imaginer this
all the books (bid/ask) will be api cyber linked into one giant singular market ... most still have little faith in the alts ... but i still see then need for at least 300-500 major block chains all integral to the digital currency network

sidechains/colored coins will get layed on top of all that

ZEIT Trading News

SouthXchange entire Zeit/LTC market got bought out yesterday up to 295 litoshis.
Their Sell orders list are empty, if anyone wants to sell.
https://www.southxchange.com/Market/Book/ZEIT/LTC

 Cool

FYI:
Maybe we should tell the dumpers on cryptsy that ZEIT is going for almost double on other Exchanges for what they are dumping at.   Tongue
Nahh, we will let them know after they given all of their ZEIT away.  Cheesy

Good call, Kiklo

I just picked up another 4 million on Crapsy for 165, with some 'spare change' I had left over from a 'darkside' order Wink

Tempting though it is to bounce it back & forward between markets, I have better things to do with my time - tonight I'm taking part in a livestream on Twitch for our Elite:Dangerous PvE group - so I'll just tuck it away in my wallet & enjoy the staking Cheesy

My wallet got stucked at block 1812102. Tried to restart it, repair it, but it didn't work. It seems I have to reinstall the blockchain. What is the latest snapshot we have?
Edit: ok, found the latest one from August 11th, 2015. A bit old, but I will do with that.

Thanks. I already started the update process with the old snapshot and managed to pass Sept. 8th mark, but thanks anyway. I believe it is a good practice to have monthly snapshots and have them clearly linked in the OP, as the link I found in the OP led me to that August snapshot.
Edit: update finished successfully after about 20 hours.

FYI1:
They want Ray's Contact info and home address, and a photo copy of his ID.
Which is why I ignored them after they replied to me.

Zeit Knights have to have anonymity for ZEIT to succeed , asking a Knight to give that up,
is not acceptable. They are not requiring Satochi to provide that info to list BTC.
So 1Ex is not going to happen as long as they require that info.

 Cool

FYI2:
If you want to see what happens when a Dev info is released openly.
Check the Noxt Forum, Zeit won't have that circus here.

FYI3:
1ex values their anonymity , their real address & contact info of their domain are hidden by a contactprivacy.com , and their support page does not even list a PO Box, or Country.

My identity is not really a secret, but:
Home address and photo ID is a bad joke.
They don't have any kind of legal notice on their page.

I agree that there is no point in giving anybody private data to get the coin listed on an exchange that has yet to prove its worth.
All the hype around proof-of-developer about one year ago has proven not to provide any protection for the users. ZEIT has proven to be a solid coin and thus there is no need to put the decision on listing dependent on providing private data to a party that itself does not reveal all of theirs.

Now having said that, it is that exchange own decision what they want to get in order to list a coin. Also I don't think the example of bitcoin is good in this context, provided different scales of the recognition. But I agree in general lines that zeit has already proven enough.

Even if they prove their worth, they are asking for info , that the Knights should begin to hold sacred.
Things to consider
1.  When Zeit is worth a $1 , do you really want your ID and address public, when everyone knows you are holding 100 million dollars worth of zeit.

2. Some Knights may live in countries were crypto is outlawed in the future, and could face legal issues, if known publicly .

3. Some would just prefer the simple life and not be hounded by the media.

4. If you are willing to be a public celebrity, be prepared to hire a security staff round the clock for you and your family.

Plus our source code is directly on github for the world to see,
Their can be no greater or open transparency than that.
I see what ZEIT is becoming, and it will be more known and more used than BTC, in Time , so for me context is a non issue.  Smiley

I don't see any need to compromise ANY of our principles to chase listings on wanna-be centralised exchanges.

We have the core strength - both of coin & community - to thrive until real P2P exchanges become the norm.

Remember, this time last year, Zeit was about 13 litoshis.

If we can maintain the same growth rate over the course of the next year - and I see NO reason why we shouldn't - it would not be unreasonable to expect a price in the 2.5K litoshi bracket by then.

NO WUCKING FURRIES!

FYI:
Cryptsy should also improve the speed at which BTC deposits show up in their wallet.
When depositing btc in Cryptopia, SouthXchange, & Yobit all show btc deposits a lot sooner than cryptsy, even if you sent btc to cryptsy 1st, it will arrive at the others 1st.

FYI2:
Also some scrolling bars on the bottom of the screen so we can scroll left and right.

Cryptsy Status ,
been getting some reports that BTC deposits at cryptsy have been offline for a few hours,
happened around the same time as their GUI update.

Anyone here had any problems with BTC deposits today at cryptsy not arriving.

 Cool

Update:
Deposits started showing up again.

Seconded!

I have exactly the same issue, and not just on crapsy.
