Germans Are Coming to Crimea. English/Russian subs

A comment from Youtube: "Hitler and Merkel are the only Germans who hate Russia".  Grin Grin Grin

Its quite telling, that when Kiev cut off Crimea from water pipes last year, West, all of sudden was not concerned about fate of those Tatars residing there  Wink Personally, I dont mean them no harm, like elsewhere, majority of them are decent people, but in this case it is obvious they are being useful idiots.

You should remember that this measure was actually supported by the radical elements within the Crimean Tatar community, such as Refat Chubarov and Mustafa Dzhemilev. And Crimean Tatars were the people who got the most affected as the result of these stupid actions, as a majority of them are farmers (mostly setting up farms on encroached land).

Info from April last year:
Breaking! US Planned to Turn #Crimea into Military Base Against Russia
https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/breaking-us-planned-to-turn-crimea-into-military-base-against-russia/

Quote
...
At least one hospital in Crimea’s capital Simferopol and at least one school in Sevastopol were targeted by the US/NATO just recently. They were planning on turning the hospital into a base for their troops after a massive renovation. One of the high schools (a gymnasium) in Sevastopol the Kiev authorities were about to sell to the US to be repurposed as a school for spies, targeting Russia. It was planned that the kids going to that school would be learning languages and spying techniques since an early age.

It appears Americans wanted to turn the Crimea into a massive military/navy/intelligence complex. The famous, one-of-a-kind Soviet underground submarine base in Balaklava, which is now the Museum of the Cold War, was visited in the past several years by at least 25 delegations from the Pentagon, US Navy, NATO, and Western political circles. Kiev gave them access to super-secret Russian/Soviet sectors of the base, which were supposed to be off limits. They studied with great interest the secret documentation and technology.
...

EDIT: Incidentally, the designs USA/NATO had for Crimea are exactly the same as what the implemented on Serbian land of Kosovo after they bombed Yugoslavia to smithereens:

Yep, fat chance that Russia would just fold and let NATO set up shop in the Crimea and dominate the southern flank and the Black Sea. Was never going to happen.

Not for the lack of trying on the NATO part, though.  Roll Eyes For some reason USA thought that they are exceptional, and that they'd succeed where the previous aggressors failed:
- 1812, France. Check.
- 1854, Britain and France with a Turkish proxy. Check
- 1941, Germany. Check
- 2014, USA. Well, Check.

Also, already in 1992 did Russia proclaim that the 1954 transfer was illegal. In the Prosecutor General's Office conclusion, that I presented here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494128.msg11726200#msg11726200
there is a passage on page 2, which I should have translated:

Quote
Later, the resolution of the Supreme Praesidium of the Soviet of RSFSR from 05.02.1954 "About Transfer of Crimean oblast from composition of RSFSR into the composition of Ukrainian SSR", on the grounds that it was taken in violation of the Constitution (Fundamental Law) of RSFSR and in violation of the legal procedures, was declared as null and void from the start. (The Decision of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation from 21.05.1992 #2809-1)

That will happen only if the Russian economy collapses completely. But despite all the sanctions and embargoes, the local economy is remaining quite healthy and stable. The United States / European Union sanctions on Russia have failed miserably. The only real losers are the manufacturers in Germany and the apple growers in Poland.  Grin

Crimean Tatars... the pet project of the West. Personally I don't care what 249000 (out of 2.5 million population of Crimea) law-abiding Tatars are doing. It's the 1000 troublemakers that cause concern. It's the same all over - on Ukrainian Maidan 9including - the 0.001% that destroy it for the rest.

Crimea (Peninsula in Europe) is a major land mass on the northern coast of the Black Sea that is almost completely surrounded by water,in some region it is called as"Mother of Black Road".Oscar winner is on the way to make film on "Crimea" as per resources said.
Crimea became part of Ukraine only in 1954," he said. "Crimea was historically part of Russia, and (Nikita) Khrushchev gave it to Ukraine in a gesture that mystified some people. It will effect to the Russian economy .

The project drafts for construction of the bridge over Kerch strait have been completed and sent to technical expertise, which has 60 days to either approve them or to require amendments:
http://dom.lenta.ru/news/2015/06/30/bridge/

Projected capacity: 40000 cars per day. 2 railway tracks with maximum sped of 160 km/h. Bridge span gaps: 227m. Height of the ship-faring span: 35m.

In the meantime, the railway track near Rostov-on-Don is being modified, so that a small portion of it, which crossed Ukrainian territory will go around along the border.

4G and 3G networks have been started in Sevastopol 2 days ago.

http://www.e-crimea.info/news/v-sevastopole-zarabotal-internet-formata-4g

LTE network coverage is currently 25% of the city while UMTS coverage is closer to 35%.

Well, 4G and 3G networks are first sign of civilization. Life is getting better after Ukrainian occupants were kicked out of Crimea.
Testing LTE in Sevastopol.

Not sure if this item fits best here or under the "mad Ukraine" title, but here goes:

Ukrainian armed forces are forming a special battalion, comprised of Tatars from Crimea. It will be the first all-Muslim battalion in Ukraine:

A little recoup...

Ukraine’s offshore natural gas reserves development to hang in limbo

21 March 2014

The large natural gas reserves development offshore Ukraine could hang in limbo after the Crimea peninsula returned to Russia's rule, according to Platts.
Platts' article focuses on the Ukraine crisis, as well as its implications for natural gas prices and European energy trade flows.

Platts explores how the Crimea returning to Russia has upended Ukraine's hopes of becoming a natural gas exporter in the near future, and its Black Sea offshore reserves are now owned by Russia.
Following Crimea's vote supporting a break from Ukraine and de facto annexation by Russia, its self-declared leaders have already announced the nationalisation of the peninsula's gas pipelines and offshore fields operated by Ukranian companies ChornomorNaftogaz and Ukrtransgaz.

It is believed that major gas development deals with foreign oil companies in the Black Sea offshore Crimea are also on hold at present.
"In 2012, a consortium led by ExxonMobil won a Ukraine tender to tap the Skifska offshore gas deposits in a deal worth more than $12bn at the time."

Oil companies including ExxonMobil, Eni, and Austria-based OMV are among those faced with potentially renegotiating existing exploration deals with Russia, said to be the new owner of Crimea, rather than Ukraine.
In 2012, a consortium led by ExxonMobil won a Ukraine tender to tap the Skifska offshore gas deposits in a deal worth more than $12bn at the time.
For the Skifska project, a consortium comprising Exxon, Shell, OMV's Romanian subsidiary Petrom and Nadra Ukrainy won the initial tender, in August 2012.

In 2013, Ukraine produced approximately twenty billion cubic metres per year of gas domestically, and has been eager to see its offshore gas deposits developed in order to cut its dependence on supplies from Russia.

There was some disturbance in Crimea today: two of the journalists of TV channel "Zvezda" were held hostage by armed private security of the former minister of defence of Ukraine Lebedev, when the journalists were filming material about pulling down of the fences, illegally raise around Crimean beeches:
http://russian.rt.com/article/103559?%D0%BE

On a different note. A few days ago, Starikov voiced an interesting idea:

People of Eastern Germany and Western Germany are both German people. They were divided into two different countries by artificial process, byt no one would deny that they remained a one people. Now, when USSR facilitated reunification of Germany, it was celebrated. Enter 2014. The population of Crimea in particular and Ukraine in general (at least the central and Eastern parts), are by and large Russians. They were divided into two different countries by artificial processes. Yet, when Russian people reunited, it was ment with hostility from the selfsame Germany, which owes its own reunification to Russians.

“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”

lol... Exxon Mobil will be in a very difficult position here. If they don't negotiate with the Russians, then they will lose the rights to drill for oil and gas offshore. But if they do so, then the American government will kick their asses. The best solution will be to sell those drilling rights to Gazprom, in exchange for fields somewhere else.
